Secrets (Who Are You?)

Secrets (Who Are You?)
5. A Hope at Dusk

The skinny body lay helpless on top of the hospital bed. Only a grain of clear crystal flowed from both of his eyeballs. That was how it happened when he had just regained consciousness from his long sleep. He had no idea how long he had been lying there. The last one he remembered was sitting on the edge of a basketball court watching his classmates who were taking sports lessons.

The door of the inpatient room opened revealing a figure that he believed so much. Reina's. Came with a bag of crackles that he knew contained his favorite brownies.

"Hi!" Sapa Reina's

Reina always comes at the right time. He was like a clairvoyant who could predict time.

It's been the fifth year the two are tied up in a friendship bond. Being trusting each other and little by little Meika began to improve from her prolonged depression.

Before, Meika was just a girl who was almost desperate about her life. He felt that God was too much of a burden on his life. All she ever did was cry alone in the corner of her room. Look at drugs that at any time must be swallowed. Not to mention if suddenly he had to wake up in a hospital bed.

When his friends can run, play here and there. He could only sit on the edge and look at that happiness. If forced only pain felt.

Until Reina, the mysterious little girl is present and changes everything. Her honesty did not make her feel depressed. Meika feels more alive. It is still so strong to remember how Reina mentioned the disease. Even though he was cruel, Meika was not offended at all.

Everyone just looked at her pity, but Reina did not. Meika is just like the others. The weakness he has is just a thing that is not at all something that should be unfortunate with. When the weak get mercy. They won't be happy. Precisely that compassion makes a person more depressed with the situation. It made him look so weak and unable to do anything. Reina knew about the taste.

"Rein?"

A piece of brownie in the palm of the hand was put back into the box. Meika looked at the unruly face of her friend. Reina never gets neat when she eats something. It only looks perfect in front of the public. If you're with Meika. Reina is still human as she is.

"Mahaha." Reina displayed round eyes like the gaze of a plain child that showed her confusion.

"What's wrong?"

"Oh my God, I don't understand how an idol like you can be so messy when eating a brownie" Meika said as she held back her laughter.

"Nobody knows. They just know that Rein is the perfect person" Reina said

Meika also took back the brownies that had just been placed. Bite it a little then chew slowly before finally swallowed through his throat.

"Rein, can I live any longer?" It sounded so pitiful when Meika asked such a thing.

Reina had to stop chewing her brownies. He hated hearing Meika's complaint like that.

"Why? Stop saying. If you believe you will live, of course you will live. If you're desperate and choose to give up, everything will stop."

Meika was stunned to hear the narration from Reina. His friend had never seen him as weak. Even the treatment is always ordinary.

Others would choose to leave Meika with a gentle greeting but make Meika feel so weak helpless. As if there was nothing he could do. But Reina always said "Come, if you need help, just say it. We have to help each other."

"Rein, what does it mean that I have a chance as well as the others? like living happily, having a partner and also building a family in the future?" Meika asked and her gaze turned to the cityscape she could see from the window of the ward.

"The choice is, your willingness to manifest or give in to circumstances. If you keep trying, of course nothing is impossible. Your heart is no reason to stop. So stop feeling depressed about all this. Trust me I'll be with you for all your dreams." Reina then decided to clean up the rest of their brownies and left.

"Everything just happened, making me feel like a character out of the Anime. haha story." Only Reina spoke with her magic.

Not long after, Meika's parents arrived. Reina immediately withdrew and disappeared from the room.

"Meika, how? you're better off?" A woman in her early forties asked gently

"I'm fine mom, when can I go home?"

He is not really good, his feelings are still so heavy to be able to make peace with the circumstances. But for Reina, she will try. So they can run up the winning line together.

Every human being has the same portion of suffering and happiness.

Weight or light is just a way of looking at someone to deal with it.

Orange rays of twilight began to propagate, the view of the city was immediately bathed in light that seemed to get God's blessing. In angkata both his thin hands. He showed his palms as if greeting the twilight. Although he had to narrow his eyes slightly, he smiled as he felt the warmth of that moment. It was like seeing hope.

"Reina has always fought for her life, I must do the same. My choice is to realize every hope." Inner says.

With Reina's favorite bike down the urban streets. He looks sparkling bathed in orange at dusk. His lips were endlessly humming. Gratitude for the grace of God for every breath of his life is a gift. From Meika he learned to appreciate life more. Not everyone has the opportunity to move as freely as they do.

Maybe Meika has a perfect family but she also has flaws. People say, God cannot create something with one weight.

God, I am grateful for the life you have given me.

Not everyone gets the gift of life like me.

Maybe I haven't been that long with you.

But let me be thankful.

Lord, if I come to you, there will be someone who can replace me to take care of her.

People say there are seven similar people born into this world. If true, can Meika and the other Reina meet a much better situation than the story of Meika and Reina at this time.

Reina stopped pedaling her bike and stopped on a bridge. Below it was a river with a calm flow. The water moves in harmony and looks clear. Occasionally a different wave is created when some people on the edge throw the fishing line. Retired old men usually fish there. Some have gone home with the results of fishing and others are still trying their luck.

Two grandparents among the anglers that afternoon pulled Reina to make her stop for a moment. They look like two friends who have been making stories together for a very long time. One of them is seen telling a funny story and the other laughs at hearing it. They're picking up their fishing gear. Maybe they'll be home soon. Enough with the two grandparents, Reina back pedaling her bike. Before that, he turned around for a while looking at the towering luxurious hospital building. Amongst the rooms there Meika is in the care.

"Tomorrow we have a new story. I will continue to fight for your life. Be the Vega for Deneb like me. One day I will meet an Altair who will take care of you and help you realize your every future hope."
