The clock was showing at nine o'clock in the evening, when the ojeker started coming. Fortunately, there are still those who want to take orders, although the cold of the night is increasingly bone-chilling.
"To the big hospital huh, sir!" I said take the helmet out of his hand, then put it on my head before riding the motorcycle.
"Yes, Deck. Why is it that night? Is it not afraid?" asked the taxi driver to start driving his vehicle.
"Fear what, sir?"
"The hospital was pretty scary. There are often voices without being around us. I have experienced it."
"It's just a sound, isn't it, sir?"
"Yes, but also serem. It's already been this night, can you still see the patient?"
"If you can't, I'll just wait outside the hospital."
"Who is sick? Her boyfriend? Why would you want to be behind to come there until you are willing to wait outside everything?" the tease of the motorcycle.
"Eh.. Notwithstanding. Guys, just sorry he doesn't have a family."
"Oh, that's it."
The friendly chatter of the ojek-man makes the trip feel short. It seems that not long ago our trip was acknowledged, now in front of us we have seen a large hospital where Mr. Azril stayed.
"Thank you, sir!" I said hand over the helmet after I got off, and took a piece of money from the sling bag with the largest nominal for me to hand it over to the carpenter.
"His return?" ask the taxi driver who saw me about to leave him.
"Take it, sir!"
"Thank you, thank you."
The voice I heard from the taxi driver, when I turned around, got further and further.
But all of a sudden I just had my foot on the hospital floor, like there was a bad feeling coming into possession. Like something's gonna happen.
"What feeling is this? Why am I feeling restless myself? Could there be something bad in a moment? Abaghfirullah...," I tried to take a stand to assuage it myself.
Just as I went inside, from behind me came the sound of commotion. I looked back, because the center of his voice was from the gate.
"Moon?" muttered.
There was a newly-dispatient. According to the nurse who ran to greet him, he said he had just had an accident.
The victim was immediately treated for treatment. His blood splattered all the way to the floor. But the victim has not yet been seen, because the nurse is still busy surrounding him.
I'm still silent. Stare at the hordes of nurses who are busy rescuing. Like there is a curiosity for me, to see for a moment the fate of people who are being feared by many health workers.
The nurses were ready to run the wheel where the victim was put to sleep. I pulled over a little to make way. Until it began to pass where I was standing, it was seen that familiar clothes were being worn by a man covered in blood and lying weak.
"Sir Azzam?" my mumbling went limp for a moment.
Although not very clear face, but I'm sure that it's him. From the clothes and posture, I make sure it is him.
"Sir Azzam!" my screams immediately chased after him, after being shocked and controlling the sad emotions that suddenly came.
"Sister Azzam," I cried again still trying to get close.
"Sorry, Deck. Better wait here first. Let us do our best to save him. If you know him, please take care of his data and administration," said the nurse, when the patient was already pushed into the door of the emergency room.
" Last! I haven't been able to confirm if it's true, Azzam. Hopefully there are only victims who wear the same clothes and posture. I hope it's not him" I said trying to calm my mind.
" Azzam's sister again called.
I'm looking for information from this victim. Towards the lobby where the receptionist stands. Hopefully there is a card or wallet of the victim that shows his identity later.
My move accelerated because I didn't want to be late knowing. There is still Azril who needs help if the figure really comes again. Until I saw two policemen standing by the ambulance.
"Sorry, Sir. Is there an identity of the accident victim just now?" ask after approaching.
"We just found his phone. He didn't have any letters in his pocket. This just contacted his parents. It's out there, '" police said showing Azzam's cell phone.
"Sister Azzam. That's right, Azzam!" I said I was starting to be sure.
"You familiar?"
"Yes, we're overseas friends. At the same time his neighbor from the same country," I said slightly holding bitterly in the chest, because of the sadness I felt.
"Have you seen the victim? Are you sure that's your friend?" ask the police again.
"Try my father to call my number from that phone. There must be a name on it" I assured them.
I said my cell phone number. Then the police tried to press on at my request. Until it starts connecting to my salary.
"My darling?" police said they showed the writing on Azzam's device.
Between shame and a little shame. But the police are starting to believe me.
"All right then. I'm handing over the phone to you. Please take care of the data while waiting for his family" the police said.
The more limp it feels. After knowing that it was Azzam's brother. I took his phone, and went back to the front of the emergency room to make sure things were right.
" Deck, data! " cried the nurse who stood guard as a receptionist at this hospital, as my steps further and further went towards the room of Azzam's sister.
I ignored his call, because I just want to know the condition of Azzam right now. Without being able to think.
" It's been a while? " my mum pacing back and forth on her own, in front of this emergency room.
I'm still waiting for myself. Until the nurse from the receptionist came over. Give me the sheet I need to fill.
" Sus, is it still a long time? " let me point at the room in front of us.
" Let's wait, Dek. It's still a rescue! " said the nurse while receiving the paper that I had filled just, because the mind was chaotic everywhere, then she went again leaving me alone again to go to her workplace.
" sister.... Let's strong! I need you here!" I said myself, still pacing back and forth waiting for the results of the examination.
Before long, my phone rang. Umi's name is on the screen. It just makes me more anxious.
"Assalamu'alaikum, Umi!" I said immediately along with the fall of tears.
Umi asked if I knew about Azzam's accident. And I said that I was waiting in the hospital, in front of the room she was saved.
"Umi same abi trip there. You are patient, do not cry to strengthen Azzam. Praying, for asking God for help is a saving effort we can make."
Umi keeps strengthening me. To stand up to all the trials. Though the tears were getting worse I let out. Until it feels weak all the bones in the body.
Just as the phone connection was disconnected, the door of the room began to open wide. A doctor started to come out.
"How's my friend doing, Doc?" I'm full of anxiety.
