Scavenger Becomes New Director

Scavenger Becomes New Director

We leave James and Steven and go to Jimmy who's scavenging garbage to get something of value in order to sell.

" Today is enough." Jimmy said to me in his heart.

"I'd better go home sooner, clean up the results I scavenged this afternoon, and help Aunt Santy clean the house" he continued in his heart.

He then walked out of the area bidding farewell to his peers or older, because all those in the landfill were poor people struggling to live by scraping garbage. For them so that whatever it is they will still do as long as it is lawful and not from the loot.

" Jimmy, how quickly did he get home? With dong for a while at 5," said his peers who have been for several years become friends in the struggle on the mound or hill this garbage.

"I don't feel good, I want to go back home and rest, man. It's 4 o'clock now. An hour to go, you can catch up with me." Jimmy chimed in.

"You're good to have a home and Aunt Santy loves you. Whereas I hurried back just to stare under the bridge bro." Said his friend who is known as Sukro.

"This is how we're friends. Something is hard, but something is even harder. We are all here to make a living but who knows what we will be in the future?" Jimmy continued chuckling as he prepared his things to leave immediately.

"Alright bro. Later sometime I want to mess around to Aunt Santy's house again. I'm looking for you first, bro. You be careful on the road huh," said Sukro and turned face back to scavenge the pile of trash in front of him.

But a few seconds later Sukro turned and said;

" Oh yes bro, don't forget to say hello to Sita ya bro," with a big laugh.

"Hahahaha, flirtatious you. I'm waiting for your arrival buddy" continued Jimmy, waving his hands and passing from the dumpster settlement.

The distance of the final disposal and the slum complex the residence is very far.it takes an hour to walk especially while carrying heavy loads scavenged results.

Jimmy walked along the capital's streets with occasional embarrassment and awkwardness. Because at a time that is still this afternoon to see scavengers, people around often look down and insinuate.

Then Jimmy walked quite quickly without looking left-right. He only straightened his saliva when the people around him were busy with luxury. Shopping, eating, etc.

While he was busy with all kinds of things in his head, when he raised his face his eyes were focused on a red light intersection. The shameful story of a few months ago is still in his head. He was already used to being humiliated but that day, the two women in the car, their cynical and arrogant smiles would never be forgotten.

That was the first time Jimmy felt beaten. Like her pride was trampled.

*B**a few months ago at red light*.

At that time after receiving and reading the paper given by two women in the Honda Jazz car, Jimmy who had not gotten a penny decided to return to the aunt's house. He deliberately did not stop at his house because all he wanted to do now was to spill all his frustration and present rhetorical arguments about the characters of the rich who do not care about the poor. Not to care about playing with the poor.

"Hufft," Jimmy let out a long sigh and roughly threw it away. He always does so when thinking about his life.

Arriving at Santy's aunt's house, Jimmy recounts all his unfortunate events today.

"Love, we hard people are often treated that way. Don't keep it in your heart." Aunt Santy said as she prepared lunch for Jimmy and Sita, who were about to return home from school.

"The child according to my eyesight is about the age of Sita aunty. His mother, who was driving his car, was young and beautiful. I won't forget their faces and treatment of my aunt." Jimmy said as he looked away at the TV that was burning in Aunt Santy's dining room.

"You are still only a dozen years old. Don't trouble yourself with all these things." Aunt Santy.

" All you have to do now is pray and keep working hard to help your aunt get you to school." Aunty.

When Jimmy was in his head, he lost his concentration and intended to cross the road to get into the compound where he lived.

Suddenly from the right direction of the road a car drove at a fairly high speed. Jimmy who was daydreaming, as well as the load of a large basket he pelted blocked his view. When he realized the car was already a meter more than where he stood.

"Ahhrrkkkk.." He had not had time to jump and run the car had hit him, followed by the sound of squeaking car tires and road asphalt.

Jimmy was thrown a few feet off the road. The car stopped and many people who were not far from the scene began to swarm the scene.

The sports car that hit Jimmy stopped not far from the crash site.

Back to Steven and James.

After a few almost half hours down this metropolis, James finally opened his voice;

" She, we're back to the usual place. I want to win over the mind in that park while watching the homeless kids from the slum complex over there return to their place." James said breaking the silence of those who had been busy with their own minds.

"Good sir." Steven is short.

The park area is not a favorite place in this metropolitan city, but James really put his heart on that place. The place is simple far from the word luxury. In the park it is not too wide and only a few street vendors and small stalls selling adjacent to the park.

But James' favorite moment is not the beauty of the park, but the orphans who return from their activities. Some scavenging, selling around, and busking. At that time, he was nostalgic for Jorge, his dead son.

" She, when are you getting married?" James asked suddenly when a few more turns arrived at James's favorite park.

" Hahaha My master will find a lover and get married when you are happy with your life" Steven said with a crisp laugh.

" What if I'm not happy until my old age?" james defies Steven's loyalty.

"Then I'll be single for the rest of my life, sir." continued to laugh crisply at both.

While laughing and losing focus, James suddenly shouted loudly; and;

" Steven! Watch out for kids passing by!" James screamed like a trance while holding Steven's hand.

But too late to step on the brakes, the boy was already thrown from the road.
