Chapter 7: The Letter of Agreement

As promised by David yesterday. Aira is currently in David's office. Seen Wira just gave a file containing a contract agreement letter.

"This what sir?" asked Aira confusedly.

David stared intently at Aira making Aira's guts shrivel. "Only a regular covenant letter, Aira. All to avoid if one of us cheats. As a professional worker, of course you should know, if in working letters like this are very necessary. Didn't I tell you yesterday about this letter of agreement" David explained.

Aira gulped her saliva roughly, lowered her head to read the contents of the covenant letter in her hand and opened her mouth.

"I was hired for four months?" ask her again Aira.

"Yes, exclusively! Take it easy I will still pay you even though it has been cut with your debts. Oh yeah, well, there's a receipt from the workshop, do you need one?" Said David.

"No need sir. I trust you completely" said Aira.

"Good! You have to believe, because there's no way I'm tricking you. It's no use to me, Aira." David spoke with great emphasis.

The way David spoke made Aira's hair bristled, not wanting to think anywhere, Aira opened her voice.

"Well do I agree, where should I sign?" he just wanted to get out of the zone.

Wira also came and pointed to the place patrolled. With trembling hands Aira affixed her signature. He does not know what will happen later, he knows being a pretend partner for a David is not an easy thing. He just thought he got paid then he could treat his papa's disease.

"Is there a special request from me sir?" ask Aira.

David observed Aira then as if he was considering something.

Aira nodded. "Good, master!"

"Get out of here, come with my secretary Novi. He'll take you to the boutique. The boutique is located on the ground floor of this building," said David.

"What's it for, sir?" tanyanya Aira wonder. "I have a lot of dresses" she added later.

David stared intently at Aira then observed her appearance from top to bottom and then he clucked.

"You think the couple of David Adinata wears a dress indiscriminately. They'll even check the label and whatever you wear later, "he said with a sharp look.

Not yet he was made dizzy, the words of the man made him afraid.

"Don't worry about the price, I'll bear it all. Oh yes, later at lunch hour come with Wira for a while and discuss about your hobby, your favorite food just explain in full about you. I want us to exchange information before coming as a couple" he continued. Aira just nodded.

"One more Aira, and this you must obey!" David observed Aira who looked down. "Our business is purely professional, it is forbidden to use the heart."

"Go outside and follow my orders" David said firmly.

That night Aira came out of her office building with a raging feeling, between confusion and disbelief, mixed with fear. On the other hand he was glad his debt with the man would be paid off, the rest of the money he could take his father away from the cursed house. However, deep down, he was afraid of not being able to control his heart. He knew he was playing with the man named David Adinata, and was ready to be burned whenever he wanted to. Shaking his head he thought, he brushed off all the possible thoughts that would happen, he just had to focus on the money he would get, not going anywhere.
