The LORD said to Moses: "Put out your hand upon the sea, that the waters may turn over the Egyptians, covering their chariots and their horsemen."

Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and in the morning the waters of the sea turned to their place, and the Egyptians fled to the water; and;

thus the LORD threw the Egyptians into the midst of the sea.

Turn back all the waters, and cover the chariots and the horsemen of all the army of Pharaoh, who had followed the Israelites into the sea; none remained of them.

But the Israelites walked in the dry place from the middle of the sea, and on their left and right the water was a wall for them.

Thus on that day the LORD saved Israel from the hand of the Egyptians. And the Israelites saw the Egyptian dead stranded on the shore of the sea.

When the Israelites saw how great the LORD had done to the Egyptians, they feared the LORD, and they believed in the LORD and Moses, His servant.
