Chapter 18: Shadows in Railway Station Part 2

The first thing Yuda thought about was, how fate was everything after he was surrounded by huge black thorns that almost covered even a single carriage. Let alone the slightest bit of him stepping, a drop of blood came out from the skin.

            “hei anyone alive?” yell Yuda.

            “still”

            Gin's voice sounded not far from Judah's location, as did Luca who sounded like trying to stand up. On the other side of the carriage, the location of Deren and Andy also experienced the same thing. Thanks to Judah's first awakening, they all managed to survive, if only he was not aware of the blackened glass. Perhaps what was in front of Judah was a corpse.

            From this incident, Gin realized one thing was certain that, it was too dangerous to fight in a train carriage. Not just removing the thorns from the glass. Deren avoided the Thorn that was about to hurt him when both thorns had stuck on the floor of the carriage. Deren instantly kicked and hit the Thorn. Until the two thorns are broken, leaving the road ahead. The next thorn reappeared. This time Andy's target, the young man managed to make the Shotgun's weapon as a shield and then deflected, creating a sound of friction, making the thorns that were about to stab Andy change direction slightly, after that Andy shot the thorn until it was made flat and broken.

            In an instant, the entire glass of the carriage was covered with shadows, leaving a flashlight hanging from Andy's neck. Because the size of the flashlight is small so it is easy to be clad in the neck. But the impact is difficult for them to fight while holding a flashlight. So Andy put the small flashlight on a special hole in his Shotgun.

            For a moment something rushed beside Andy, when he glanced to the right side there was nothing. So did Deren who also felt what Andy felt. Sweat pouring. Tension enveloped Andy. He was sure Shadow was nearby.

            “ANDY!”

            Andy was completely unconscious. If Deren hadn't helped him. Suddenly right beside him, something like a black sword was about to slash Andy. Deren who realized first immediately ran towards Andy, he hit the Shadow figure to get away from Andy. Deren's powerful attack makes the Shadow figure disappear immediately, but that does not mean the shadow that covers the glass also disappears. He's still in the carriage.

            Deren what's your situation. Gin called them from the headset.

            “Honestly, our situation is not good” Deren as much as possible to be honest with Gin about the situation.

            Shadow slashed the empty air, making thorns appear towards Andy and Deren. Deren hit every thorn that appeared near him. Andy fended off one by one the thorns.             Andy couldn't help his surprise “not possible!”

            Shadow, galloping towards Deren, attacked the young man beside Andy with a kick. Deren held back the kick with only his two hands that he crossed. As Deren resisted the attack. From behind Andy shot straight at Shadow. But he easily avoided it. Then behind the attack, Shadow's attack was so strong that Andy and Deren both bounced to different sides.

            Andy and Deren both sat down to endure the back pain that hit the carriage wall door.

            Deren!. Rikzy suddenly called.

            “ada what?”

            What you are fighting is a duplicate.

            Rizky's speech made Deren realize as well confused. The duplicates alone are this strong, how is the same as the original.
