"Yes, postpone the meeting again until next week. Tell our co-workers if I haven't been able to see him."

Alby hung up his phone after he finished talking to his secretary. Vina called him to question the continuation of the employment contract with the new company from the western region. They are actually planning a meeting for this week. But Alby was preoccupied with marriage problems, so he had to postpone it. Especially now that Adelia has a fever.

His wife collapsed in Alby's arms this afternoon. And now Adelia has not regained consciousness even though the clock has shown at 7 p.m.

Alby immediately stopped hearing his apartment bell ringing. He opened the door so that his mother could care. Alby calls Gea and tells her about Adelia's condition. Because Adelia kept calling Mamah in her sleep.

"Where is Adelia now?" Gea asked as soon as she saw Alby. He broke inside.

"In my room" Alby replied slowly pointing to his room.

Gea wanted to go there, but she turned to look at Alby with her narrowed eyes. "You promised to bring Gea home, Alby! Why did you bring her here?!"

"Adelia's mine now, Mah. So Alby is entitled to it," Alby replied briefly. He opens his room, allowing Gea to see Adelia lying on the bed.

"Honey," called Gea as she rubbed Adelia's warm cheek.

"You didn't take Lia to the hospital, Al?" Gea asked Alby who was sitting next to Adelia's feet.

"I've called him. Maybe fifteen more minutes the doctor's coming."

Gea nodded small. Her net glanced at the bowl filled with handkerchiefs and warm water inside. Then he turned to look at Alby who was resting both elbows on his thighs with his palms covering his face.

"You compress Lia, Al?" Gea asked despite knowing the answer to Gea's question. There's no one else here, so the one who compresses Adelia must be Alby.

"Hm" muttered Alby.

Gea gave a small smile seeing Alby's small attention to Adelia even though Alby himself made Adelia sprawl like this. He sat down next to Alby and rubbed his shoulder.

"May you know what you did to Adelia?" Gea asked again. This time it was so slow for fear of offending Alby.

"I'm just mad at him." Alby said without looking at Gea. "Lia didn't want to eat when she missed dinner and breakfast."

"Your attention is excessive-"

"I just don't want my son in his belly, Mah," interrupted Alby to break Gea's sentence.

"Do you love your son very much?"

"Of course!" Alby.

"Then love Adelia too."

"Alby's trying for that. But Adelia just kept making me mad" Alby replied as she was.

Gea smiled again. He stood up to wipe Alby's hair. It makes Alby lean his head on Gea's stomach. Gea's smile grew wider, in fact, the evil Alby on Adelia is still like a little Alby who enjoys a rubbing Gea in his hair.

"Adelia loves you very much, Alby. Even though you never treated her well, Adelia still considered you as her sister. He used to be enthusiastic every time you came home from out of town or abroad. He'll help you prepare food for you."

Alby's speechless. His eyes were closed but his ears were still listening to what Gea was saying.

"Lia never gets angry when you punish her. He said Lia was wrong so naturally Brother Alby was rough with Lia, that's it. Until then you raped her."

Gea took a breath before continuing, "Adelia was depressed the next day. He always said he wasn't wrong at the time. Lia was just trying to help you who fainted from drunkenness."

"Alby, it's only natural that Lia won't do what you want. He still has that fear. So please, you should be able to be more patient with Lia" Gea said.

"But Lia doesn't want my son, Mah!"

Alby flinching. His tongue was too thick to even say a word.

"Can you?"

"Hm?" Alby's murmuring did not hear Gea's question clearly.

"You can love Lia, right, Al? At least do it for your son."

Alby breathed. "Alby will try."

Adelia awakens as the sun slips into the bedroom window. His hand touched his moist forehead. Then frowning found the wet handkerchief on his forehead.

He tried to get up even though his head was still heavy. His eyebrows fused together, perhaps confused with this foreign place.

"Sister," Adelia muttered as a flash of memory yesterday afternoon flashed across her head.

Adelia recalled, Alby gave her a warm hug. A hug that Adelia had wanted from Alby. He did not believe it was so soothing even though Adelia felt it was so short because she had to lose consciousness at that moment.

Adelia's daydream breaks as Alby exits the bathroom wearing shorts and a plain black t-shirt. Ah, her brother is very fond of black, so it is not surprising that almost every day Adelia sees Alby wearing clothes with that color.

"It's waking up, feeling better, right?" Alby asked as he touched Adelia's forehead which was not hot anymore. Thankfully, the fever has gone down.

Adelia nodded slowly. Seeing him Alby smiled for a few seconds. Even Adelia could not see that smile.

"I'll take dinner for you" said Alby.

Alby's steps came to a halt as he felt the pull at the end of his shirt. He looked up, looking at Adelia who was holding him back. Alby's eyebrows shot up, asking why Adelia was holding herself back.

"Do you need anything?" Ask Alby when Adelia doesn't speak.

Adelia shakes. Then Alby jerked his hand and intended to continue his intention to the kitchen.

"Sister," call Adelia.

This time Alby turned around with his face off. "I'll take your food first" he said, not to be denied.

When the doctor arrived, he suggested that Adelia be fed and then take medicine from him. His mother had also warned Alby not to forget that. So Alby went to the kitchen to get the food that Gea had brought.

Ah yes, Gea has gone home because she has to take Bimo to the airport for a business trip. So her mom couldn't wait for Adelia to wake up.

"Why?" Ask Alby when he gets to the room. He allowed the blanket to cover Adelia's legs again. Then sat down next to Adelia with her hands holding the food.

"Son't gonna hurt me anymore, is he?" Adelia asked in light of Alby's promise last night.

"Yes, if you don't order me to refute me," Alby replied flatly.

Alby offered a bribe to Adelia. But Adelia shook her head a little.

"I'll eat myself later" he said quickly to see Alby's annoyed look.

Alby breathed. Even so he still nodded and put his food on the nightstand.

"I'll try, sister," said Adelia. "I'm gonna try to love this kid, as long as Alby doesn't hurt me anymore."
