CH 01 – Scientific Dissident (Part 06)

The rental room is similar to a karaoke place. Closed, has an area of three times four meters, seating in the form of an elongated sofa, silencers, dry snacks, and dim colorful lights. Slightly damp, filled with the mangrove aroma of the room fragrance.

“Irwin Walton, yes?” Korwa opened the conversation anxiously. He sat down while raising his left leg to the table, checking the printed file given by Shamar and Irina. “Living in the center of Walton District, Rhea Prefecture. After both of his parents died in an accident, the entire territory management was delegated to several close relatives,” he added, throwing files on the table.

“That's suspicious, isn't it? To be honest, I also had my doubts about the data! Sounds like the kid was just manipulated by his relatives!” Irina took a long breath. While sitting with Shamar across the table, he sighed fretfully and continued saying, “Keeping aside his extremely talented younger sister, that student named Irwin is normal. Even—!”

“He really dregs the Walton Family,” Korwa continued. He momentarily closed his eyelids, then digested the information he had just obtained. Maximize cognitive ability, improve accuracy of calculations to obtain appropriate conclusions. “However, strangely the boy suddenly changed. Being a genius like his sister, even more powerful. Growing rapidly until it has political influence like now ..”.

“You think he's just a political puppet? Controlled by relatives who took over the authority of Walton district ..” Shamar spoke up. He shifted Korwa's legs from the table so that her skirt would not open, then took a glass jar filled with dried squid snacks. “They must have deliberately made the accident happen, ‘kan?” tanyanya.

“The accident occurred in the Heavenly Tower. Could they damage the crucial facilities of the Solus Empire?” Irina doubted that. While taking the printed file on the table and checking it back, he hesitantly conveyed, “That's impossible. Although it can, the crime will certainly be revealed immediately. Too risky for their families ...”

“But ..!” Korwa understood their opinion. While slowly opening the eyelids, the purple hair woman anxiously said, “It is impossible that the accident happened by chance, ‘kan? Must have something to do ...”

“You're right, it must have something to do!” Shamar nodded in agreement. He placed the Data Cube on the table and activated it, then opened some files related to the visit of the student from Jann. “This is the study proposal that the boy submitted. Its contents mostly discuss about research and community development.”

“Shortly! He's here for studies?” Irina was startled, quickly staring at the projection page her husband showed her. “Sort of rainy season holiday project?” tanyanya.

“True once! Pupils in Jann call it a summer holiday project!” Shamar slightly corrected, then lowered his eyebrows and continued to convey, “Due to the time difference that exists, maybe he will settle for a few months.”

“It's just a formality ..” Korwa. Leaning for a moment on the sofa, he lifted his head and looked at the ceiling of the room. “There is no way the spoiled child of Jann wants to think of the people of Science,” muttered in a cynical tone.

“Well, keep him coming here for what? Vacation?” Shamar stared flatly. He lowered the snack jar onto the table, then sighed fretfully and complained, “We are here to discuss that, ‘kan? Why aren't you excited?”

“Entah, this is too complicated ...” Korwa stopped leaning. He immediately pointed at the man from the Marinus Rapax race, then kicked the table and asked, “Here you go, Sham! Just hand over the data of the plane and the port he was using! I'll intercept that disciple tomorrow!”

“No! Don't want it, Honey!” Irina prevented it. The bright blue-haired woman immediately turned off Shamar's Data Cube, then retrieved it from the table and secured it into a tote bag. “We speak well like this so that you do not act recklessly! Don't decide!” he snaps with annoyance.

“You are too anxious ...” Korwa threw a faint smile and stopped pointing. While leaning back against the sofa, he casually conveyed, “I just want to meet that student—!”

“That's the problem!” Irina immediately stood up, then kicked the table until the files flew. A flash of bluish aura enveloped his body, turning into particles of light that floated in the air. “Why are you always like this?!” he snaps with annoyance.

“I-Irina, you overdo it ..” Shamar tried to calm his wife, grabbed her hand and asked her to sit back. “Honey, quickly control your Unfar …! It could be a scene if other visitors know,” he said anxiously.

“Tch!” Irina clucked in annoyance. He flicked his right hand vertically, then gathered all the scattered particles of light. It solidified to the size of an adult's fist, then floated into his body. “Terden! I don't care anymore! If you want to die, go!” he nodded back to sit.

“Why are you so angry?” Korwa quickly established a sitting position. At a glance frowning, then giving a sharp look and asking, “What are you hiding?”

Shamar and Irina immediately flinched. They glanced at each other fretfully, then sighed and fell silent for a moment as if they were considering something.

“My dear, we better just tell you. It's free ..” Shamar made up his mind. After thinking about it carefully, the burly man anxiously persuaded, “The man was stubborn. If we just shut up, he will definitely do more reckless things.”

“You were right ...” Irina pensively, then lowered her face and leaned back. “From the first he was like that, unable to distinguish between determination and recklessness,” murmured anxiously.

“What are you guys talking about?” Korwa immediately frowned, starting to get fed up with their lies and wanting to snap. “What are you planning?” tanyanya.

“Korwa!” Shamar raised the volume of the sound. He no longer showed any doubtful or anxious expression, then began to sharpen his gaze and frown. “You know I came home early because I was called to the office, ‘right? For meetings ...”

“I-Yes, this afternoon you said you wanted to go to the Security Service ...” Korwa was a little surprised, immediately got up to keep her distance and continued asking, “What's the connection?”

“We are called to revise the security protocol ...” Shamar answered truthfully, no longer intending to hide the matter and revealed it openly. While lowering his gaze and covering his face with both hands, he tried to suppress his anxiety and continued to convey, “Special for the arrival of the student, we did a revision.”

“We? You mean the platoon you lead?” Korwa widened her frightened smile. His face began to pale, cold sweat slowly flowing down his cheeks. “Peleton you selected to set security in the welcome, ya—?”

“All executives and chairman also attended the meeting!” Shamar interrupted rudely. He lowered his hands from his face, then showed an anxious expression and continued saying, “They were called directly by the Branch Chief! Just to discuss the boy!”

“Shortly! Seriously?!” Korwa could not immediately believe it. He sat down again, lowered his eyebrows and said, “There's no way you guys would revise security protocols just for a kid! After all, protocol revisions take months! It takes a lot of experts to build it! Where possible it is finished in a few hours only!”

“You were right, it took a very long time. However ...” Shamar swallowed the saliva heavily, then stared with a pale face and continued saying, “Yesterday we received the transmission from the Orbit Station. Direct calls from the student.”

“What did he say?” Korwa grew anxious, mixed with fear and curiosity.

“He sent a file containing the design of a public security improvement project. Discussing the effectiveness of handling Mist threats, then there are also several chapters covering general surveillance alignment.”

Shamar answered honestly, with no manipulation at all. His body could not stop trembling, his face grew paled, and his voice reflected a clear fear.

“Serious?” The corwa swallowed saliva heavily, then held its breath and tried not to interrupt. “It sounds so crazy ...”

“He also gave some suggestions regarding the threat of population Mist, especially on military aspects such as strategy and target location ..” Shamar continued to deliver. It seeks to remain objective, not to overestimate information or reduce it. “And the result is right,” he concluded with a trembling voice.

“Quick?!” Korwa still could not believe, remained doubtful and again asked, “What does it mean exactly?”

“We managed to clear the Mist herd in just a few hours!” Shamar leaned back for a moment, looked at the ceiling of the room and sighed. Closing his eyes, he with an agitated expression said, “Two nests are located not far from the settlement, then another one at the border. Because of this, the executives and the chairman agreed to implement the student's proposal. Revise their protocol.”

“I-That's no coincidence—?”

“Not! That's no coincidence!” Shamar. He stopped looking up, then sat up straight and said, “From the number of personnel to weaponry, everything is right! He really knows our military strength, so does his weakness!”

“Isn't that good?” Korwa tried to stay calm. He showed a relaxed expression, then threw a warm smile and said, “Means he really cares for us!”

“Yes, you are right! The Branch Chief was very pleased with the result! In just one day we managed to get one year worth of progress, anyway!” Shamar returned moody, then showed anxious gurgles as he muttered, “However, there is something strange about the transmission. It was too smooth for us ..”

“No, he didn't make a request at all. It's just ...” Shamar held his breath for a moment, then immediately looked straight and continued to convey, “After the suggestion was proven and succeeded, he mentioned your name.”

“Eh?” Korwa immediately trembled violently, as if there was a flow of electricity running from the tip of his foot to his brain. “A-What did he say?”

“Titip greetings to Korwa ..” Shamar delivered the message accurately. Not added or subtracted, exactly as the disciple said in the transmission.

“You ... not scaring me, ‘kan?” Korwa wakes up soon. His face was completely paled, a voice filled with fear. “You must have lied so I didn't meet that student! He-It's great if conspiring ...”

“For what? You're not the kind of person who would be daunted by that kind of thing, are you?” Irina spoke up. He clucked in annoyance, then gave a sharp look and said, “This is not a joke or a lie, he actually mentioned your name!”

“Ta-But! Korwa is quite a market name!” The bright purple-haired woman tried to dodge, showing a clear sense of anxiety and fear. “Maybe all he meant was someone else! Not me!”

“You're right, it might just be someone else.” Shamar did not argue, instead nodded in agreement and began to pensively. While lowering his face, he anxiously muttered, “Hopefully someone else. If not ...”

“After being targeted, you might not be able to escape from it!” Irina conveyed the risk without hesitation. He sharpened his gaze, then quickly stood up and confirmed, “He is very dangerous! More than you can imagine!”

“Ka-You must have conspired, ‘kan?!” Korwa again dodged, instead accusing them and quickly turned their eyes away. “Do not, do it! Be honest ..!” Revision.

“Ah! Goddamnit! That's Right!! At first I wanted to use you to meet the boy! Scrubbing information directly from him, to later be handed over to Ayahanda!” Irina quickly climbed onto the table, then showed an expression of wrath and clucked. “However, after hearing information from Shamar! Myself …! I changed my mind!” he concluded with annoyance.

“Really?” Korwa was pensive, doubting this and reluctant to look back.

“Really! We talked about this before you came!” Irina reiterated. He sighed fretfully, then got down from the table and sat back down with an exasperated expression. “Why can't you believe it? After all, why would we lie to you for this kind of trouble?” he murmured while lowering his head.

“Information accurate. If you still don't believe it, you can confirm it tomorrow. I'll bring you the transmission recording ...”  Shamar tried to convince. He was not as wrathful as his wife, remaining calm with a slightly paled face. “Eatya Irina is very angry. We're worried about you. In fact, I wish you would move first to another tribal territory. Take leave—!”

“Yang is right!” Korwa kicked the table, then immediately pointed at the burly man and snapped, “If I take time off, the spoiled child of the Hua tribe will definitely apply for marriage again!”

“True also ...” Shamar was stunned, turned his face away and thought of another alternative.

“Tch! It's getting more troublesome!” Korwa crossed her legs, leaned against the sofa and pensively. “Shall we just kill him? Than bothered!” annoyed.

“Eh?” Shamar was surprised, instantly staring anxiously with a gaping mouth.

“You're still sane, ‘kan?” Irina clucked in annoyance, then shook her head and reminded, “He's a resident of Jann! If caught, the planet could be flattened by them!”

“We made him an accident! Just like his father and mother—!

“We are not coming!” Shamar interrupted, giving an answer without the slightest hesitation.

“Hmm ..” Irina nodded in agreement, then stared flatly and replied, “We will not go along with that crazy plan. You want us dead, huh?”

“Tch! You coward!” Korwa stopped leaning. He sighed for a moment, then turned his face and muttered, “Tadi half joking, anyway ..”.

The conversation halted, they fell silent to think about their next move. Giving each other a sharp look, opening their mouths as if they wanted to say something. Keep on sorting out the words to find the right sentence.

Irina and Shamar do not want Korwa to act rashly, which could jeopardize their position and the entire tribe.

However, on the other hand Korwa could not help but be curious. Want to immediately meet the student to be the subject of thesis research.

“So, after this you want what?” Irina reopened the conversation. He took a deep breath to clear his mind, then widened his cynical smile and asked again, “Don't say you seriously want to kill him, ‘kan?”

“After a second thought, I'd better not see the boy first. Too suspicious ...” Korwa made the decision, choosing another safer and more certain alternative. “He will be a transfer student for a while, ‘right? Enter the Academy! I still have plenty of time,” he said in a disappointed tone.

“Ah, use the rights as a teacher?” Irina.

“Hmm!” Korwa. While pointing his forefinger forward, he with a restless smile said, “You don't mind, ‘kan? As far as I can think, this is the safest way. If I can, I want to be a homeroom teacher—!”

“Please don't ...” Shamar.

“Alright! It's up to you!”

Korwa relented, tolerating and retreating. Although curiosity made him unable to stop thinking, he tried to follow their wishes.

However, that does not mean he just gave up. Korwa had already thought of another plan, something she did not pass on to Shamar and Irina.

Oh, aye. If anyone is confused about Unfar, Unmoc, and so on. It will be explained gradually. Building a science fiction world is harder than fantasy, but it feels the same.

Some may read the title on the cover looks like a Sacred Siflus, but it is indeed a Sacred Cycle. Because the type of font is different and so.
