Forced Iqbal to withdraw from pencak silat race. Instead Fahmi fought for the race. It just so happened that this afternoon Fahmi and his trainer had just returned home. Fahmi won the third place.

''Wah the champion came, '' said Iqbal who saw Fahmi enter the room.

''Only the third champion. Just try if you come, surely our boarding school can win one, said Fahmi while sitting on the side of the bed.

''Don't be discouraged! Champion three is also good enough, the participants from all over Indonesia.''

''Really too. Is this why students are not teaching? Tumben once said, Fahmi asked Iqbal.

''Yes, today is a holiday, he said because tomorrow has started fasting, so the schedule in the fasting month is changing, '' Iqbal replied.

Their chatter stopped because there was an announcement sound if all students and santriwati were asked to gather in the pesantren field. It just so happens that there will be something said by Ustadz Malik and Kiyai Ahmad. Iqbal and the other santri hurried off towards the field.

''Assalamu'alaikum.wr.'' Ustadz Malik let the santri answer the greetings, then again said, I as Ustadz who is responsible for Ramadan activities, I will tell you some things. First, in the month of Ramadan this year there are some additional activities held in this boarding school. One of them is open together, the tilawah sari race between santri, and the da'wah competition. It so happens that I and Kiyai Ahmad will be judges in our activities later, explained Ustadz Malik.

Then Kiyai Ahmad followed suit.

''The second one, for santriwati, will be in turn for cooking. So everything is part of cooking sahur and breaking the fast. So also prepare a certificate for all residents of this boarding school cottage.''

One of the women raised her hand because she wanted to ask.

''Sorry, Yai. Did the male santri not cook alone like last year?''

''Before I apologized if santriwati had objected. But yesterday I got a suggestion from the santri so that santriwati only cook. Because there are always men who do not carry out their duties. There are also those who do not eat sahur. And he said sometimes there is a bad cuisine, explained Kiyai Ahmad.

All the students seemed to agree. Although it is actually a hassle if you have to cook at once for male students. But it's the demands of the pesantren that they have to live with.

Ustadz Malik and Kiyai Ahmad looked at each other. Kiyai Ahmad asked Ustadz Malik to forward the announcement to the santri. Ustadz Malik took over the microphone held by Kiyai Ahmad and began speaking.

''Seems like that's all we said. And one more .. There is good news for you. Tomorrow afternoon during the first iftar, we do not need to cook because there are good people who will provide a lunch box and a meal certificate for all of us to break the fast, said Ustadz Malik.

All the Santri and Santriwati look great. They clapped. Looks like their first iftar menu will be good because there is boxed rice.

''Then everyone can return to their rooms. Assalamu’alaikum.wr.''

''Waalaikum’salam.wr.wb, ''' they replied in unison, then hurried away from the field.

I don't know why today Iqbal felt so powerless. He had only fasted for half a day but his stomach was already rumbling. Iqbal was thirsty too. Honestly, this is the first fast that Iqbal runs. Because in previous years he never fasted. Even in front of his parents admitted to fasting, but if he gathered with his gang he always canceled his fast.

Iqbal was still lying on the bed. It felt heavy to lift his body. Iqbal noticed the activity of his roommate who was preparing.

''Iqbal, get ready! This afternoon we start teaching early, said Fahmi.

''Too late, Fa. My body is also limp, it feels lazy to wake up.''

Fahmi shook his head. ''You're like you never fast, the time of complaining is that anyway.''

''This is my first fast. Never fasted before, Iqbal replied

''Because this is the first fast, so you have to be upbeat. You must be strong until breaking the fast later, said Fahmi.

''Yes, Fa. If you want to go to the mosque first. Later I followed, said Iqbal.

After seeing his friends leave, Iqbal took his glass. He approached the gallon that was near the entrance of the room. Before taking the water from the gallon, Iqbal stared outside. It looks safe, nobody is passing by. Iqbal wanted to bring the glass he was holding to his mouth, but it was not because someone had come.

''Astaghfirullah'aladhim. Are you not fasting? Ah I guessed. Surely you cannot fast, Ustadz Malik told Iqbal.

''I was fasting, just that I was feeling weak and my head was a little dizzy, so I wanted to drink.''

Iqbal again put a glass of water on the table. One drop he had not felt. Maybe he should try fasting. Even if it's not used to him.

''I'm not drinking.''

''Good, now you are ready! I am waiting for you here, said Ustadz Malik, who was still standing at the door.

''Ustadz first, I'll follow.''

''Can't, I'm afraid you're looking for a chance to drink.''

Iqbal let Ustadz Malik stand in front of the door. While he began to change clothes with cocoa clothes, preparing stationery and also the Qur'an. Ustadz Malik left after seeing Iqbal come out of the room.

Iqbal and other students helped transport the lunchbox from inside the box car . They were very happy because someone kindly sent a lunchbox to break the fast. Though the number of students and students is very much.

Iqbal wants to return to the dining box. But his steps came to a halt when he heard someone calling him from the side. Iqbal turned his head and saw his father's whereabouts.

"Well, what's here?" Iqbal stepped closer to his father.

"Yes, Son. It just so happens that Papah wants to see the food that papah sent up here or not" he replied.

"Oh, papah sent."

"Yes, Son. Oh yes, papah also brought cookies from mamah. But it's in the car. Let's go get it!" bring him.

Iqbal followed his father to a car parked in the parking lot. His father brought a lot of parcels. I don't know what it is.

"Well, why so much? This is anything at all?"

"Dry cake same other snacks. Later you can share it with other friends, therefore your mother prepares it a lot."

"Well, Iqbal will share," Iqbal took all the parcels from the trunk.

"Let me help you, son."

"No need, Pah. Iqbal can be alone. Iqbal wants to go to the room first, papah wants to come along?"

"No, Son. It just so happens that Papah wants to see Kiyai Ahmad."

Coincidentally Aisha and Nisa had accidentally seen Iqbal along with a good person who had distributed boxed rice. They don't know if it's Iqbal's father.

"Ais, how did Iqbal know those good fathers?"

"I don't know either. They may still be relatives."

"The time doesn't know. You are close to Iqbal" said Nisa.

"Don't bother talking! I wasn't close to him, I just knew him, it was by accident."

"If you don't know her very well, why did you ever give her a parcel?" Nisa looked at Aisha full of probing.

"Just want to thank him for helping me until he got hurt himself. Pity, continue because I would not be able to join pencak silat," Aisha did feel guilty to Iqbal.

"Awas loh of pity can be love," led Nisa.

"What the hell? I've been betrothed to Azmi. So, it's impossible to dare love another man."

"Okay, I hold your word.
