Losing Is Painful

Losing is painful. Especially for something that will not be replaced by anything.

---

Today Rana shift two. Just arriving at the store, he had already received a report that Helen was not in. He should have been on the morning shift. Rana sighed softly. He already knew the problem his co-worker was facing, but was confused how to help him. Rana is afraid of wrong actions that will endanger herself.

Shutter back to get ready and try to contact Helen. The sky-blue hijab girl waited patiently, but her phone was not picked up. Rana put down her phone, then tidied up her appearance in front of the mirror. Considering Helen didn't come in, some work must have been neglected. He must immediately take over before it accumulates and makes dizzy.

Before going out, Rana wanted to try contacting Helen once more. But when going to tap Helen's number on the screen, Helen's call came in vibrating her phone. Rana hurriedly lifted him up.

"Hello, Hel ...."

Helen sniffled across there. Just replying Rana was not able to. For a few seconds. Rana patiently waited until Helen calmed down.

"I ran away, Ran." After saying that sentence with great difficulty, Helen again sobbed.

"Snow?" Rana was very worried.

"Now I am on the road to Toraja. Dad's getting so-so, he almost raped me, Ran."

"Astagfirullah ...." Rana smothered her mouth. Her tears just drip.

"Please convey my apology to Mr. Bian, I came out this way. And he's been kind enough to hire me all this time."

"I'll tell you later. You don't have to worry about that, Mr. Bian must understand."

"I also want to apologize to you, all this time often ngerepotin."

"No, kok. I'm glad to know you. It is better now that you calm down and focus on what you will live next. About your decision to leave your stepfather, it's just right, really. Still not reported to the police," Rana grumbled so irritated.

"Yes, I'll tell you later. Thanks, yeah, Ran."

"Yes, you're welcome."

Phone connection disconnected. Some of Rana's jokes are still in their original position. He was very concerned about Helen's misfortune.

"Kok, her face is so tense, what's up?" Bian's voice broke Rana's daydream.

"Eh, Father." Rana got up from her seat.

"What's wrong?" bian asked once more while watching Rana's strange-looking face.

"Barusan Helen called, sir. He ran away from his stepfather. He is now on the road to Toraja. That is, from today he can no longer work here. He just took an apology to you."

Bian immediately stomped his temple. That is, he must immediately recruit new employees so that the store operations continue to run smoothly as usual. The problem is, finding the right person is not easy.

Rana glanced at the paper bag that Bian was carrying in his right hand. On one side there is a logo of a famous men's clothing brand. It seems like Mr. Boss is going to have an important event, and he has just been shopping for clothes, Rana thought. The next second Rana shook her head faintly. For what reason until he thought of everything?

"What's the problem?" bian asked after a long sigh.

So the story flows Rana since he suspected Helen was hiding something, also about the desire of his best friend was wearing a hijab.

Bian was in shock, not expecting it to be such a problem that Helen was facing. "Yes, I will soon find a replacement" he said, looking at something. "For a while please take care of everything. I'll give you a bonus at the end of the month."

"Good, sir."

Remembering something he was carrying, Bian immediately entered his room. He is still not out of thought will really change his appearance according to Bara's advice. I don't know what the response will be.

Alone in the campus park. On his lap the laptop lit up earlier. If it is free, and sometimes lazy to go home, he is happy to stay here. This place is very comfortable for writing. But this time he was busy with a miniature Batman in his hand. From then on the tiny object was seen late. Occasionally back and forth.

"Since when have you been a collector of miniature superheroes?" Riko interrupted Bara's daydream. The man with the kriwil hair immediately took over the empty bench beside Bara.

Bara just sighed furiously, lazily responding.

"Whispering, ah!" sambar Bara finally. He took back the miniature Batman. "Who wants to collect ginian? Mending money to buy quota."

"Continue?"

"It's Kevin's."

"Who's Kevin?"

A moment of confusion answered. Somehow I have to say it. "His daughter Dira," he said, pretending lightly later.

"The heat? Who's Dira?" Riko scratched her head which was not itchy at all.

Bara just sighed resignedly. But before he thought to explain it further, suddenly Riko excited after feeling familiar with the name Dira.

"Those DAMKAR personnel were then?" pekik Riko's.

Bara just nodded weakly.

"That beauty?"

Bara nodded back in the same style.

"Have you got a child?" Riko glared perfectly. "Geez!" This time, pat the eel.

"Lebay, yes." Bara closed his laptop, then put it in his backpack. "Udah, ah, I want to go back." The man in the black shirt got up from his seat, then moved without saying anything more. From outside his response about the status of Dira is not as great as Riko, but in fact since last night he could not concentrate in everything because he kept thinking. Dira is not who he is. But this strange feeling grew naturally, creeping through so quickly.

Although not sure this afternoon DAMKAR office is still open, Bara still desperate to get there. Other than wanting to return Kevin's miniature, something seemed to be calling out. Bara feels the need to chat once again with Dira, until he can really come to terms with the fact, that there is nothing worth fighting for. The shadow of Luna that seems to be present in Dira let it be his own story.

About 15 minutes later, Bara had arrived at the Makassar City DAMKAR office located on Jl. dr. Ratulangi. Dozens of DAMKAR personnel were lined up neatly in the office courtyard. It looks like an apple. Not wanting to disturb, Bara parked his motorcycle on the side of the road, then docked to the post next to the gate. In front of the post was a seat in the form of iron pipes planted directly on the concrete floor. It was there that Bara sat observing the atmosphere.

It did not take long, Bara could immediately recognize Dira among the dozens of Srikandis who gathered in the leftmost row. The black beret with a metal plan attached to the woman's head amazed Bara. Especially when imagining him on the field. Bara sure, even a little he did not have the courage like Dira.

"Mr ...." Not only did that sound make Bara gasp, but also the presence of a tiny head that suddenly leaned on his arm.

"Kevin?" Bara half screeched as she found the child beside her. I don't know when and where it came from.

Bara's screeches almost simultaneously after the apple is dissolved. Hearing Kevin's name, Dira immediately turned to the source of the voice. His smile expands, happy and surprised to see Kevin with Bara there.

"You, how come you can be here?" dira asked as soon as he arrived in front of them. She looks like she's teasing Kevin.

Bara stopped poking at Kevin's waist, raised his head and anchored his gaze right at the bead of the female eye that had just voiced.

"It's only 15 minutes from campus. It doesn't need to be that way" Bara chanted with a big smile.

Dira took off her beret, then tidied her hair behind her ear. "I mean, what are you doing here? There is a need to do the job, or ... what?"

Bara deliberately shifted a little, instead of allowing Dira to sit. "No, no, no." I took something out of his shirt pocket. "I just want to turn this around" he said as he held up a miniature Batman, which caught Kevin's eye. The boy even grabbed him.

"Eh, Kevin is not polite, ah," Dira said.

"Nothing, his name is also children." Bara stroked Kevin's head.

"Last night he couldn't sleep because of that. I'm bargaining for a new deal, he's crying."

"Losing is sick. Especially for something that will not be replaced by anything." I remember Luna again. Why did the feeling of tightness drop by all of a sudden?

Dira could feel, Bara's sentence just came out with such a strong flow of emotions. A fine wrinkle was imprinted on the woman's forehead. The man next to her seemed to be taking a step to share something, something that they might really be able to decipher together someday.
