"Come on Qing er!" said Su Xi as she pulled the hand of Duan Qing who was clasping onto Duan Ye's shirt tightly. But it turned out that Duan Qing's grasp did not come off as well, his hands were like glued together by glue that made Su Xi unable to force her to let go anymore.
"He doesn't want to." whispered Su Xi as she shook her head to Duan Ye.
"Yes, let me just carry you" said Duan Ye sighing resignedly.
"Emang father is strong." Su Xi said.
"We'll see later." Duan Ye replied as she started putting her hands under Duan Qing's knees and then carrying them. Duan Qing automatically draped his hand to Duan Ye's neck and hid his face on Duan Ye's neck.
"Look!" said Duan Ye arrogantly.
"Yes" Su Xi replied as she rolled her eyes then walked beside Duan Ye.
"Mom, why is Qing er's body so thin? Dad didn't feel tired at all carrying it." Duan Ye said worriedly.
"Mother knows well too." Su Xi replied no less worriedly.
Arriving at the car, Duan Ye then put Duan Qing in the back seat. Su Xi followed him from the side and chose to sit beside her daughter, lest Duan Qing's head rest on her shoulders.
Actually Duan Qing's cries had stopped since earlier, but he was too embarrassed to raise his head and chose to pretend to sleep until he actually overslept in Duan Ye's arms.
"Where?" duan Ye asked while turning on his car engine.
"To the house." replied Su Xi.
"Have you been taken out of the hospital?" said Duan Ye.
"Of course it is. It was the mother who told doctor Chan not to let Qing er go home" Su Xi said feeling guilty.
"We go home, Dad. I'm worried that Qing er will run away again, if we take her to the hospital. Qing er's health has now improved."
"Alright" said Duan Ye.
The black Bentley car drove away from the area of one of the largest hotels in the city of F.
"Well, what exactly happened to make Qing er cry like that?" ask Su Xi.
"That's what you want to find out too." Duan Ye replied.
"I mean."
"So when my father hugged Qing er, he was crying. There's no way he's crying because of dad, right?" duan Ye was confused.
"Maybe." Su Xi replied quickly.
"It is impossible. Dad couldn't possibly make your daughter sad until she cried like that" Duan Ye said.
"Deg." Duan Ye could not refute Su Xi's words. It was true that he had always been suspicious of Qing er until he had always been watching her in the hospital almost every day. Whoever it was would definitely not be comfortable with his probing gaze every day. Su Xi who saw it alone was already uneasy especially Qing er who had been the target.
Luckily for him, that Duan Qing did not take heart over his behavior. For Duan Qing it could be considered natural, after all he could be considered a stranger in their family.
"Qing er, you must have suffered a lot in your old life right? I know, even though you didn't tell us, but from the look in your eyes when you looked at us, you already know that." Su Xi said sadly as she stroked Duan Qing's head.
If given Duan Qing's attitude all along, his attitude was nothing like that of a 19-year-old.
Su Xi remembered back then, she brought Duan Qing on a walk around the hospital garden. They sat on one of the benches there. Suddenly someone the same age as his daughter said that he found this bench first, but because he had business ten minutes ago he left it for a while.
His daughter with a breastplate left just like that, even though he already knew that the person in front of him was lying, saying this chair he found it 10 minutes ago, he said, they've been sitting here for an hour, but this guy just showed up. Su Xi wanted to protest but Duan Qing first stopped her and said "It's okay Mom. I'm tired anyway, going back to my room."
Though Su Xi knew, if her daughter wanted to stay longer outside because this was the first time she had taken her on a walk in the hospital garden.
There was another one, Qing er never complained of post-treatment after going into a coma. He also never complained when his heartache recurred. As much as he could bear, everything he felt. Once upon a time, Su Xi had forgotten to instead bring soybean porridge that Duan Qing disliked, but still Duan Qing ate it. After finishing it he just told Su Xi that Su Xi brought soybean porridge.
"Why not say it early?" su Xi said angrily. Duan Qing instead answered Su Xi by saying "I don't want to trouble everything, after all this is edible anyway. This food will not make me die." joked Duan Qing.
Su Xi was instantly speechless hearing it. Either his daughter's stupid or something. Masa' he doesn't want to complain one bit. Can't her daughter say "Mom I hate this food, why did you bring it?" and "Mother, my chest hurts." She never heard it from her lips.
"Qing er, just cry as much today okay? Tomorrow mother won't allow it anymore." whispered Su Xi in Duan Qing's ear hoping that her daughter would let her down even if it was impossible.
Before long, the black Bentley's car arrived at the grounds of the Duan family home. The security guard opened the automatic fence and let Duan Ye's car in. Then the car drove to the garage where normally Duan Ye's cars were.
Duan Ye turned off the car engine then rushed over to Duan Qing who was in the back seat. Duan Ye carried him, in the follow Su Xi who was tailing him from behind.
"Servant, please deliver warm water to Qing er's room huh!" su Xi said to the servant who was lined up at the door.
"Well madam." she replied in unison.
"Has the young lady's condition improved, madam?" said butler Mo worried when he saw Duan Ye carrying Duan Qing
Su Xi's steps came to a halt, she turned around and said "Qing er's condition has improved. Master Mo need not worry." comfort Su Xi.
"But why is the young lady being carried by master?" ask the butler confused.
"He just overslept." replied Su Xi.
"Ouh that."
"Then I go upstairs. Don't forget to anterin please anterin warm water to Qing er's room" Su Xi reminded.
"Well madam." replied the butler Mo.
"
