Red Cape
1

My name is Dara, I'm 17 years old after I got an XII class at my school. Right today I was planning a vacation to my grandmother's house, my mother's hometown. This is my first experience after a dozen years ago when I visited my grandmother's house. I happen to be on vacation with my friends. Actually, going a few days on vacation at Grandma's house made me mind a little. Because I think the village where my grandmother lived is a little out of reach of the outside world. But what can be done, my friends who are metropolitan really want to feel the name of living in a village with a beautiful village.

"Well, get down. You have been waiting. This is the girl for mercy!"

I stared at my only mother. Yes, one. My mother's time is two, can be said I have two mothers who are equally chatty for forgiveness.

"Snap, the road is rich in snails!" Mom pulled my hand, dragging me in front of my ready friends with a big bag on each of their backs.

"What mom? Rich people are dragged like this."

"Udah, don't bring you. You've been waiting for this."

"Yes mom, this is dara want to wear shoes first. It's still morning. There's still plenty of time!" I nodded asking for my friend's approval, who was just silently staring unkindly at Mom.

"Between. The sooner you get to granny's house, the better!" Mom started to look annoyed to see my slackness in shoes. Although his tone of speech was now softening.

"Yes ma'am, it's over" I walked over to Mom, crucifying Mom's hand with all my heart. "By leaving, ma'am, say hello to Dara and Dad!"

"Yes, I'll be there." Mom nodded, turning to Deno, one of my friends.

"Deno, be careful with the car. You brought auntie loh's son!"

"Yes aunty, Deno is reliable!" Deno puffed his body proud.Makes us chuckle at his behavior.

"Yes, it will be 9. Dara was afraid of a late night at her grandmother's house."

"Yes, careful! Don't you guys do a lot of whimpering. The Sundanese mah tong mincrak. Tell me what Dara's grandmother said later."

I looked at my patient mother. From the day before Mom always said that to me. Understand, wejangan parents. "Yes mom, Dara has memorized it. Assalamualikum!"

"Glamma!"

"We're leaving, tan!" My friends waved their hands. Before the car we were riding drove away from the yard of the house.

The car with six people in it, including me and my five friends. Two of them were men, Deno and Danang. Three of them are Sesa, Repa, and Sari. By the way, one of my friends Sari is indigo.

"Dar, far away is your grandmother's house!" Danang stared at the Google maps in front of him.

"Yes Dar, from earlier I was driving feeling not sampe-sample." Doni followed up, staring at the quiet streets in front of him. After passing through the city, google maps took us to a quiet street that has not touched a single house.

"I told you, my grandmother's house is far, far away. Lo all on ngeyel si. I'm on vacation to my grandmother, is lo papa why would you want."

I stared at their bored faces, wrongly wanting a vacation to my mother's hometown. I just forgot the road to get there, so that's why we use google maps.

"We want to know how beautiful the village, seger air, adem ayem ears. right gays? Time like that you don't understand." Deno sneering. Makes us women stare at the cynical drowning Deno's mouth.

"Yes Deno, eat a vacation that you want. The initial plan is not to come here. We're going to go back to the board. And for the sake of lo who happens to be a birthday, we participate in the will of you who are very curious about my mother's hometown."

"Udah-udah, the village behind the same board of his mother's hometown Dara must be the same!" Repa mediates our quarrel.

I was a little emotional, feeling sorry for the words I said to Deno. My words are a little outrageous.

"No, I'm sorry. I get emotional, maybe because I feel, I whose grandson just don't want to nengokin my grandmother. Lah elo who is not prepared to be very stooped." I pat Deno's shoulder slowly.

"It's not papa Dar, I understand. You are a bad grandson!" Doni looked at me from behind the glass. His words invited us to laugh, including me.

"Haha, you know!" I said, inviting laughter for the second time. The car that was a little filled with fuss is now accompanied by our laughter together. I don't think it's bad to go on vacation to my grandmother's house.

"Gay...!"

"Yes Sar, what's wrong? You need anything?" Tanya Sesa sat on the back bench with Sari.

"Don't joke Sar, it's a journey!" Danang looked at Sari not like it.

"Yes, I know. But I don't feel good right now, you know nothing!" Sari's words with such a clash made us shocked. No one in the car made a sound. If Sari is already like this, my feelings are also not good.

"I'm sorry, I. I may just be sprained from not nyampe-nyampe, but this is past the time of dzuhur right?" Sari slowed down her tone. Looked at danang regretfully. Makes us breathe a sigh of relief.

"Yes Sar, I know. Now it's good for the girls to sleep. Let me same Deno who still realize, later we wake you up on!" Danang nodded. Staring at us one by one. This time I agree with Danang.

I slowly closed my eyes, fell asleep with the others. But I don't know with Sari, she closed her eyes tightly, returning Sesa's embrace. Hopefully Sari's feelings don't interfere with this journey.

"Lo's sure this is his village?"

"Yes, I'm sure. We stopped right in front of the gate of his mother's hometown of Dara!" Danang nodded, reassuring Deno with the village in front of him.

"Nang, when we are welcomed to the grave instead of the house!" Deno said frantically staring at the expanse of graves in front of him.

"Udah ah, you bawel. In the village of emang ordinary kayak gini, mending we wake them first!"

Danang choose to chili with Deno, it is better to wake up their female friends.

"Wake up, we're here!" Without ethics, Danang yelled to wake them up.

"Let's make us shocked!" sumput Repa clapped Danang's arm quite hard. Make Danang laugh satisfied with our pillow face.

"Dar, is this your grandmother's hometown?"

"Yes, why?"

"There's a grave anyway?"

"Kayak aja lo katro. In the village there is a cemetery!"

"Yes Don, take your ass. I've never seen a grave!" Danang stared irritatedly at Deno as well as me.

Seeing our gazes, Deno was silent. Back forward his car into the archway. RED CAPE. I don't know why this place is called that.

What might be a red grave. So it's called that. Why am I thinking about that.

""Stop Den, this is my grandmother's house. You can park the car next to the house!"

The old house in the spacious courtyard, my grandmother's house a little away from the cemetery and other houses. Beside my untouched house, there are only estates owned by residents here.

"Asalamelamaicum, Grandma!"

""Waalaikumsalam Nduk!"

"Grandmother's granddaughter is big now. Come on in, I want magrib, pamali. Bring your other friends. Nekek wants to get some warm water first!"

"Let's go in. Sorry, my grandmother's house is old." I look at them badly. They don't seem to be too disturbed.

"Sir papa. If you know his house even though in the middle of the cemetery I don't mind!" Deno snuck in, smiling so wide. Two-story wooden house like this is a favorite of Deno.

"Yes come!" the others followed Deno who shamelessly stumbled inside. It's just me and Sari.

"Sari, come!" I pulled Sari's hand.

"Dar, I hope we'll be all right!" Sari looked at me inside. Ignoring the air around us.
