Cooking Together

Ever since Reya gave Juragan Nalendra food, they have become closer. They often eat together, sometimes Reya also sends lunch Nalendra to the rice fields or kennels.

Like this afternoon, Reya brought food for Nalendra who was in the rice field. The two of them sat together in a saung in the rice field belonging to Nalendra Juragan.

"Today I tried a new recipe, I made Chicken pop" Reya said as she pulled out the food.

"Em, it must be delicious" praised Juragan Nalendra.

"Juragan could have praised it, later if it is not good do not get angry yes" Reya laughed gladly at the praise of Nalendra.

They began to eat while enjoying the breeze of a light wind. The atmosphere between them was very harmonious, occasionally Reya added side dishes to the dishes of Nalendra.

"Morning is busy tomorrow?" reya asked after swallowing the food in her mouth.

"No, as usual I'm going to the barn or the paddy field to check things out. Indeed why?" juragan Nalendra answered while looking at Reya who was feeding food into his mouth.

"I want to ask the Juragan for help" said Reya rather unclear because he was chewing food.

"Solicit what please?" before answering Nalendra's question, Reya swallowed the food he was chewing first.

"Tomorrow at night there will be a grand study event in the village. Well, Lek Yayuk order snacks for that study to me. But, the order quantity is big enough for me to handle myself. So, will you help me cook tomorrow?" reya said expectantly.

"I'm not good at cooking, you ask others for help" Juragan Nalendra subtly refused.

"But, I want the Juragan to help" Reya said softly as she looked into Nalendra's eyes sadly.

Nalendra's lawyer, who was in the face of Reya, felt bad for refusing his request, "Alright, but you don't blame me for making a mess" said Nalendra.

"Of course, I'm sure the Juragan will definitely not make a mess" Reya said excitedly.

"When are you going to make it?" ask Juragan Nalendra.

"Tomorrow in the morning, about five o'clock. The scouts should be on time!" pinta Reya, Nalendra's Juragan just nodded at Reya's words.

After lunch, Reya follows Nalendra to monitor the state of the rice fields. Today the Scouts are irrigating the rice fields, usually there are officers who do it. But because the employee was sick Juragan Nalendra himself did it.

To the next day, around five o'clock in the morning. Juragan Nalendra was already in front of Reya's house.

"Reya" Juragan Nalendra said, knocking on Reya's door.

"In a moment" Reya shouted from inside the house, she immediately tidied up her hair and clothes. After making sure he was neat, he then walked to the front door.

"Let's go to Juragan" asked Reya when he saw Juragan Nalendra who was already at the door.

Nalendra then went inside, Reya closed the door and followed Nalendra.

"Let's go to the kitchen" Reya precedes Nalendra and takes her straight to the kitchen. Juragan Nalendra nodded and followed Reya.

While walking towards the kitchen, Nalendra saw a box for a neatly arranged snack in the living room. Arriving in the kitchen, he saw many cooking ingredients arranged on the kitchen floor.

"How many snacks do you want to make?" asked Juragan Nalendra when looking at the amount of food.

"There are egg nuts, risol mayo, lemper and apem cake. In total there are four and then added the same mineral water" replied Reya who calculated the amount of food he would make with his finger.

"A lot, are you sure you can finish it?" ask Juragan Nalendra to make sure.

"You're sure, I made the eggs a few days ago. Just put it in the plastic" replied Reya confidently.

"What did we do now?" juragan Nalendra asked as he rolled up his sleeves.

Reya then took all the ingredients needed to make the apem cake on the table, she asked Juragan Nalendra to stir the dough and he who poured the ingredients.

They were busy making apem cakes, around seven o'clock they had just finished half of the dough they made.

"We have breakfast first Juragan, how about making fried rice?" ask Reya.

"As far as you go, I want to finish baking this dough first" replied Nalendra Juragan who was still cool with the dough jue apem.

"Okay then, I cooked the fried rice first" Reya said excitedly.

Reya immediately made condiments and ingredients for fried rice while Juragan Nalendra was busy baking apem cakes. After finishing cooking fried rice, Reya invited Nalendra Juragan to breakfast.

"Let's Juragan have breakfast, the fried rice is ready" Reya reached out her hand to stop Nalendra's draughts from pouring the dough into the mold.

"OK" Juragan Nalendra stopped his intention to pour the dough and went to the lounge with Reya for breakfast.

They both had breakfast while watching TV, Reya felt this was the most delicious breakfast he had ever eaten. Occasionally he glanced at Nalendra's Nurse who was eating beside him.

"Why are you looking at me? Is there rice on my face?" juragan Nalendra asked when he caught Reya looking at him.

"Nothing" Reya answered quickly, she then turned her attention towards the TV.

After finishing breakfast, they sat for a while in front of the TV for about fifteen minutes to wait for the food they ate to be slightly digested.

Feeling that they had waited enough, they then proceeded to cook. They were busy cooking all day in the kitchen, about three in the afternoon they just finished cooking everything.

"Eventually everything is ready, now stay in the wrap and put in the box" said Reya while straightening her waist.

"Because of the Scouts, my work feels lighter. Thank you yes" continued Reya with a sweet smile towards Juragan Nalendra.

The Nalendra scribe only muttered in response to Reya's words and took his eyes off Reya. If you pay attention to more detail, Nalendra's ears look a little reddened.

"Let's take all of us to the living room, let's make it younger" Reya asked.

They then took it all into the living room and began wrapping risols, egg nuts and apems with plastic wrappers. Once done, they organize everything into a snack box.

"Yey was finally completely finished, it was exhausting too ya make all this" said Reya while laying his body on the floor.

"This is the first time you've received an order?" juragan Nalendra asked curiously.

"Yes, this is the first time" Reya replied.

"What was your previous job? I think you did open the catering" Juragan Nalendra said looking at Reya who was lying next to him.

"I used to work freelance as a graphic designer, now I still do. But because I moved to a new place I wanted to get to know the current environment, so I opened a catering to the bridge to socialize with the surrounding residents" said Reya.

"Oh yeah, I hear you're a scholar. What major did you take?" reya asked.

"Interior design" replied Juragan Nalendra briefly.

"Oh pantes only your house looks very artistic, it turns out it is indeed a field that you are good at" said Reya while nodding his head.

"Why .. " before I finish asking, Juragan Nalendra cut out Reya's words.

"Better now we put everything in the car, so that later it will not rush" said Nalendra divert talks.

Reya nods her head, she then wakes up and starts helping Nalendra to put all the boxes into Reya's car.
