Chapter 2 Receiving a Student

Zhu lian then hugged the child. After a few minutes the boy fainted unconscious. Zhu lian looked at the child with deep sadness.

"Huffs.. It was small but it had already met with a huge disaster. Maybe God has made a destiny and a soul mate for both of us. I will raise you as a disciple and take you to the demon forest" Zhu lian murmured.

After tying his wound, Zhu Lian carried the child and darted away leaving the village of san ka. Zhu lian then looked at the demonic forest that was before her.

"It took me a year to reach the middle of the demon forest. With my previous experience, as long as I can avoid a fight with the demon beasts.I can reach the middle of the forest in 3 days. Then Zhu lian concentrated all her profound energy on both her legs, and shot out like an arrow through the demon forest.

With lightning steps Zhu lian winding meanders dodging the demonic beasts she encountered.

After 3 days Zhu lian reached the middle of the demon forest. Right in the cave where Zhu lian found the pure cultivation book. After that Zhu lian made 2 very large Formations namely the illusionary formation and the defensive formation. Once all the formations had been completed, Zhu lian fell to her knees and spewed out a mouthful of blood.

"Damn it, I spent all my energy in just to reach the middle of this forest. It's really troublesome" murmured Zhu lian.

After laying the child down, Zhu lian then did a meditation to restore her inner energy that had been lost. 1 Day had passed since they arrived in the middle of the demon forest but the child Zhu lian had brought was not yet conscious. Zhu lian then walked out of the cave. And built a hut near that cave. The boy finally regained consciousness after a week had passed.

"Where am I" said the boy.

"How are you doing, has it improved" asked Zhu lian.

The boy then looked Zhu lian in the eyes. Then his gaze was shifted to Zhu lian's stomach which was wrapped in cloth.

"Sir, forgive me for what I did" said the boy.

"It's okay. For me it was just a small wound. Whatis yourname? Ask Zhu lian.

"My name is Zhi Rhen Tuan" replied the boy.

"My name is Zhu lian, a free traveler. Zhi rhen can you tell me why your village experienced such a terrible thing" asked Zhu lian

"My design is a peaceful village sir. I was going to catch fish in the river for the night grave with my adoptive parents. The moment I came home I saw my village being slaughtered to the ground by some robbers who were cultivators. I tried to fight them but they all went straight away regardless of me, and moments later I saw the master who was looking at me" said Zhi Rhen recounting the fateful incident that befell his village.

"It seems that this robber sensed my strength. So they all hurriedly fled the village" Zhu Lian thought.

"Then why are you trying to attack me Zhi rhen? I'm sure you'll know that I'm not a part of them" asked Zhu Lian once again.

"I hope, master can also end my life! So that I may not feel any more sorrow. But I didn't think that master didn't even intend to hurt me" said Zhi rhen.

After a few minutes, Zhi rhen then said "By becoming a villager cultivator and also my adoptive parents will not come back to life. Even if I've already avenged in its entirety. They also cannot live again".

Zhu Lian then walked to an altar inside the cave. Then took out a scroll of pure cultivation scriptures and placed it on that altar. Looking at the ceiling of the cave, zhu lian then said "I don't think, not only understand but I even found a child who has a HEART, MIND, SPIRIT AND PURE SOUL. For your own body as long as you do nothing despicable, it can be said to be PURE BODY. Which means you have already completed the entire requirement of pure cultivation. Your future achievements as a cultivator will be much better than me".

"Master, what did you say. I don't understand" asked Zhi rhen.

"It's okay. By that I mean, even though being a cultivator cannot reverse what has happened, it can reduce events like the one you experienced in the future. So that others won't experience what you're going through" Zhu Lian insisted.

Zhi Rhen looked a little thoughtful. Then walk in front of Zhu lian and kneel down. "Zhi rhen, Salute Teacher Zhu lian" Zhi rhen said.

"Wake up, follow the teacher out of the cave" said Zhu lian

They arrived outside Goa. Zhi Rhen was very surprised by the sight that was in front of him. For he saw a transparent wall of water that covered the area they lived in. And various enormous demonic beasts that were outside the walls.

"Gee.. What kind of teacher is this place. Why are the animals so big and weird, also like there is a wall of water protecting us" asked Zhi rhen.

"This is the devil's forest, and we're right at the center of it. Other than the two of us, there are no more humans living in this forest. And that wall is a combination of illusionary walls and survives, as long as we are inside this formation we will be safe. From now on that shack is where you live, get in rest. Master will exit the formation to search for some demonic beasts for our food." Zhu lian.

"Good teacher." Zhi rhen.

Then Zhu lian opened the formation and came out to capture the demonic beast. With Zhu lian's ability of being at Immortal Level 9, it could be said that Zhu lian was currently at the peak of cultivation. To deal with a demonic beast would be very easy for him unless he met a demonic beast of the Eternal level like a black centipede, it would certainly be difficult for Zhu lian to be able to win it over.

The next morning when Zhi Rhen woke up. He smelled a very fragrant aroma. Zhi rhen directly came out from his hut, and saw his Master was roasting a beast similar to a wolf.

"Teacher, you're back" Zhi rhen said with a smile.

"Rhen'er, come here. Master has prepared food for you." said Zhu lian.

"Teacher, what animal is this? why is it so strange." asked Zhi rhen.

"This Wind Wolf, its shape is similar to that of a Wolf in general. It's just that this Wolf has 2 Horns, and also its White Bulb. This wolf had the same level as a Mortal Level cultivator. By eating demonic beasts can strengthen the foundation of your Body and Bones" Zhu lian said.

"Teacher, earlier you said that this wolf has the same level as a Mortal level cultivator. I still don't quite understand?" ask Zhi rhen.

"Eat. Master will tell you." said Zhu lian while giving the ripe piece of Wind Wolf.
