The Spirit of the Little Child

I don't feel like time is passing. Talita and friends had already passed the Year-End Assessment (PAT), and they were up in the XI class. Delvin and his friends proceed to XII. School holidays start today. Talita and her family plan a vacation to Uncle Darel's place. After Grandpa died, Om Aaron and Darel decided to leave Country C and stay in Country A to accompany Arumi (who is still confused please read my previous novel entitled 'MY PAIN' chapter 21).

Darel is married and has two children. After learning that Arumi found her son, Darel invited them to his residence. And this is their chance to get together and get closer to family.

Alvan, Arumi and Talita are on their way to Darel's house.

"Well, Mah, Uncle Darel what's he like?" ask Talita.

"People like to joke, handsome. But still Papah's look." Arumi seduces her husband.

"Obviously, no one is losing Papah." Alvan blinked his eyes through the rearview to Talita.

"Talita wants to have a partner like Papah who is second to none." Talita also teases Alvan.

"Btw, Delvin hasn't fired yet?" ask Alvan.

"Dead dong if Talita is shot." Talita Sahut.

"Ha ha ha, Papah look he does like you dear. How's Mah?" Alvan glanced at Arumi.

"Hemmmm, if you look around Delvin is handsome, not less the same Papah. His attention is also with the thumb. But it's all your choice, baby. Mama and Papah obey your will." Arumi.

"Look a little. Has Fariz's wife given birth?" ask Talita.

"I think next month, Papah just called Om Fariz. Papah took Om Fariz with his wife to Uncle's place. But yes because Om Fariz is now super busy forced to not come."

"Where not busy Pah, all Papah's work is done with Fariz. What does it do?" Arumi taunts Alvan.

"The work is to take care of Papah's wife and children. It will disappear again hard to hear. Don't want to lose you anymore." Alvan pouting.

"Yes, yeah." Arumi stroked Alvan's cheek.

"Let Talita take care of Papah." Talita hugged Alvan from behind.

They entered the spacious yard of the house. Next to the house there is a small fish pond with a small fountain right in the middle of the pond. On the left and right side of the house neatly arranged beautiful flowers. Fragrant fragrant flowers scattered. Butterflies fly back and forth.

"Waww, the house is beautiful." Talita got out of the car.

"Hallo, you must be Talita yes, come here." Darel hugged Talita.

"Hmmm hello Uncle." Talita kissed the back of Darel's hand.

"Alhamdulillah finally Uncle had a bang. How sad we are to remember what happened in the past." Darel.

"Alhamdulillah Bang Bro, Talita is with us." Arumi also hugged Darel.

"Hallo Mama Ar, hello Papa Al." Call the Darel boys.

"Hallo champ." Alvan hugs the Darel children.

"This girl knows your sisters. The one in Emil's yellow shirt, the one in Emin's blue shirt." Darel introduced his children.

"Hallo twin boys." Sapa Talita's.

"Hallo Brother." Answer them.

"How old are you?" ask Talita.

"15 years." Answer them.

"Different germs 2 years with Brother." Talita.

"Let's go in first, Auntie's waiting for you inside." Darel invited his family into the house.

"Hallo Arumi, hello Alvan, is this Talita?" Davina hugged Talita.

"Hallo Auntie." Talita kisses the back of Davina's hand.

"Ayoooo we go to the back of the house, we relax there. Papa's fishing." Davina invites the whole family to enjoy the view behind the house.

From their kitchen to the small river-side gazebo. The smell of grilled fish is appetizing.

"Hemmmm make laper." Arumi saw one by one the fish that Davina's servants burned.

"Oh yeah, satisfied dong eat it." Arumi cheerful.

"Ommmmm got the fish?" Alvan sat down beside Aaroon.

"That's been burned as Udin. Fishing in your own pond is certainly a lot of fish." Aaron laughed.

"Please accept everything." Udin and the other waiters entertained them.

They greedily spent everything on the table. Only the bones of the fish are left on the serving plate.

"Hemm Talita, Uncle has a friend he wants to introduce his son to you." Darel.

"Oh yeah. Where's?" ask Talita.

"They're at the door. Just a minute." Darel saw someone coming towards them.

"Sorry Darel, I'm late." The man sat next to Darel.

"Oh yeah, everybody knows this friend of mine, his name is Conan." Darel.

"Hallo I'm Conan." Conan greets the one-on-one everything that's in there."

"Hello too." They all say hello.

"Please Mr. Wisdom." Udin and the waiters served dishes to the guests.

"Sorry Darel, my son has a need so he can't come here." Conan's whisper.

"No, there's still another time." Darel lets Conan eat.

They were engrossed in the chatter, without them noticing Talita slowly drifting away. Talita was afraid that Uncle Darel might be able to match Talita with his friend's child. Talita tried to avoid. Talita walks out of Darel's house.

Around the Darel housing there is a playground, Talita unwind there. The breeze stroked her pigtail hair. From the corner of the slide Talita saw a child secretly looking at him. Talita turned around again the boy hid. Talita stood away. Unbeknownst to the boy Talita settles to the side of the slide and stands behind him.

"Dorrrrrr!" Talita deliberately surprised the boy. The little boy turned to face Talita.

"YYYYYYYYYY!" Talita screamed in shock turning her body ready to run. But someone held him back and hugged him.

"Talita, what's up?" That guy was Delvin.

"I.i.i." Talita pointed behind him.

Delvin sees a boy around the age of a 2nd grade elementary school kid behind Talita. His face was scratched, fresh blood was flowing, his clothes were riddled with tears, his hands and feet were turning blue.

"Dec, what's wrong with you?" Delvin asked me gently.

"Please." Lirih.

"Talita turn around, she's asking for help." Delvin let go of his embrace.

Talita turned around, and looked at the boy.

"I'm sorry Brother Dek, Brother is not afraid of you, but shocked to see the wounds on your body." Talita sad.

"To..long!" The boy walked.

"Talita let's follow!" Delvin pulls Talita's hand.

The boy kept walking, under the heat of the sun. Delvin and Talita almost lost track, as the boy briefly appeared to be missing. The boy stopped at a small house, a house that looked unkempt. The window glass is broken, the door leaf is damaged, even the roof of the house is partially hollow. The boy disappeared into the house.

"Delvin, do we need to call for help?" Talita whispers.

"I'll ask Daddy for help soon." Delvin took photos and videos from his phone and sent them to his Daddy's phone along with their current location.

Delvin and Talita peeked out of the hollow wall. Little children sat on the floor, their hands and feet tied.

And the boy they had just met was beside the window, he pointed at someone who was in front of him. Delvin and Talita looked towards his index finger. It turned out that the person lying on the floor was the body of the boy who had been with them.
