PEARL & CRYSTAL

PEARL & CRYSTAL
THE POWER OF PRAYER

Muti could not sleep at night, sitting alone in the darkness. Someone came to give Muti a drink.

"Don't mind much Miss, please drink." Maid lets the lights go off so Muti can stay silent.

"Thank you, I'm not thirsty and hungry because I feel anxious." Muti asked for the lights to turn on.

"If I may accompany you, Miss can share a story."

Muti smiled, asking the maid to sit beside him. Even hesitating, Dwi finally sat staring at the beautiful face of Pearl.

Both of them were silent, without saying a word. Dwi could feel Muti's worry.

"Rather than silence, it is better to pray and pray. There will be an facility." Dwi smiled looking at Muti who blinked his eyes.

"What prayer?" Muti frowned.

Dwi immediately apologized, he thought Muti was a Muslim because his father was a devout Muslim.

"I'm sorry Miss, I really don't know." Chief Dwi downcast felt guilty.

"Why don't you sleep?"

"I just finished praying tonight."

"Evening prayer, what are you asking for?"

Dwi smiled, night prayer has become a habit of Dwi. He only asked for health, happiness of the afterlife, given halal sustenance, and facilitated all his good intentions.

Pearl smiled, Dwi has no special request, she is just begging for something that everyone wants.

"You don't want to be rich? I used to be begging every night to see mom and dad, but it was never granted. When I met, something I regret." Muti's gaze sadly looked towards the calm drinking water.

For Dwi, rich is just a decoration of the world that can make the eyes closed. The more treasures one possessed, the more guidance there were in this world as well.

"I don't want to be rich, live enough and be able to lighten the burden of many people. Gratitude doesn't have to be rich."

"You talk like that, because you don't know everything you can have if you have a lot of money." Muti remembered his mother who hurt them because of the treasures of the world.

"Miss prayer is now granted, can meet father and mother, but not the god is all good. Behind the separation, God treats the pain, waits until adulthood in order to more strongly accept the rigors of life." Dwi smiled at Muti, God had planned his best, but it was man who insisted on knowing more than what should be known.

Pearls shed tears, since childhood he was not taught religion, living in a village that has no religion.

Since Muti was a child who worked hard to help his grandmother just to eat, he never went to school just looking at people who study from a distance.

At the age of ten, Muti's grandmother became ill and she had to work more to take care of her grandmother.

Muti prayed every day, but not a single prayer was answered. It felt like his life was getting harder, there were no laughs for years.

"I feel like God is unfair, I always do good, help people, even work without pay."

"Miss of great women, goodness is not judged by which we do much good, nor by the wickedness of works. Kindness is judged by how strong a person who is tested repeatedly, but still survives." Dwi also shed her tears.

Dwi knew Muti was still very strong, for many years of work he could still laugh cheerfully.

Muti's tears did not stop, the words that came out of Dwi's mouth were heartbreaking, so much Muti's struggle only eyed ugliness and failure, he never realized the good side of each of his tests.

Muti is not much grateful, he always prays for school, but he can easily and quickly read, and write just by hearing and seeing.

Not having anything in the beginning, but now Muti has it all even getting genuine love from the man he was forced to marry.

"I'm not very good at being grateful to Dwi."

"Not smart, we humans are often khilaf. Dwi's husband once said, if you do not enjoy the world, God willing to get it in eternal life. Continue to be a good person who does not harm others." Dwi handed Muti a prayer book, and was willing to help if Muti needed it.

"What if Muti prayed God would raise the disease?"

"God willing, Miss, God lift the disease with his permission, let alone the degree of disease be lifted. As long as there are good intentions, our hearts can be turned upside down." Dwi wiped her tears, asking Muti to be even more patient.

If prayer is not answered, it is not because it is not heard, but whatever happens is best.

"Thank you, Muti will study this book."

"Together Miss, five o'clock Dwi wait to pray together, we pray that whoever Miss's family is sick, immediately removed the disease." Dwi asks permission to leave, turning off the lights leaving Muti alone.

Muti's smile was visible, walking towards his room and Crystal. Seeing his sleeping sister.

"Kris, you're my first happiness." Muti kissed his sister's forehead.

"So Muti is hiding something from Crystal, why are you crying alone?" Kris opened his eyes, seeing Muti holding a book.

Kris sat down on the edge of the bed, taking the book in Muti's hand and putting it on the table.

"What's up, brother? what's the matter until Brother Han forbids us to go home?"

"Sister Han is on a business trip, and quickly returns."

"Lied." Kris turned his face away, letting Muti read the book.

Crystal could not go back to sleep, taking the book in Muti's hands. The two look at each other.

"What is your religion of Crystals?"

"No idea, is it important now? we were never taught religion." Crystal read the book that made her frown.

Crystal looked at Muti who looked calmer, his eyes closed but his mouth was muttering not knowing what he was reading.

"I learned this once with Mother Han, but after Mother left. Me and Brother Han left it, because our prayers were never granted." Kris closed his eyes, continuing to sleep.

Muti's smile was visible, clasping Crystal's hands. Muti's first prayer after a long time did not say a prayer.

"Kris, I pray that you are happy, united with the man you love and love you." Muti still closed his eyes, even though there were tears dripping down.

Crystal did not reply at all, her tears instantly dripping. Actually Kristal had read Han's message about Tirta's situation.

Han asks Muti to keep it a secret from him, but Kris sees Muti's phone first. And try to hide what he shouldn't know.

"Are you sick? why did you never say it? this is why you're silent when you're hit by Cherly so that when you leave the world no one gets hurt." Kris could only speak in his heart, feeling the pain of seeing the struggling Tirta.
