Chapter 35: Mystery at the Top
After passing the challenging Shadow Road, Liang Chen, Mei Ling, and Xuan Yue finally reached the top where they were led. They stood on a high hill above the clouds. A light breeze swept across their faces, creating a calm and mysterious atmosphere.
At the top of the hill, there is an ancient temple fenced by a large gate. The temple looks outdated and is full of statues of gods and mythological creatures. Liang Chen, Mei Ling, and Xuan Yue approached the gate carefully, sensing the existence of a powerful spiritual force.
When they stepped inside the temple, they were greeted by a quiet and secluded atmosphere. The ceiling of the temple is filled with beautiful paintings depicting old stories of strength and cultivation. They felt that there was a profound and powerful aura in this place, as if hinting that there was something extremely precious hidden here.
They explored every corner of the temple, paying attention to every statue and painting. Unknowingly, they arrived at the main room of the temple, where there was a large altar filled with ritual equipment. On top of the altar, there was a sparkling gemstone with incredible spiritual power.
Suddenly, a mysterious voice filled the room. "Welcome, true power seekers," the voice echoed in silence. They immediately turned around, looking for the source of the voice. Apparently, the voice came from an old man standing at the entrance.
The old man was wearing traditional clothes that depicted his profound wisdom and cultivation. He smiled gently as he looked at Liang Chen, Mei Ling, and Xuan Yue. "You have reached this peak with incredible courage and determination" he said in a voice full of wisdom.
Liang Chen, Mei Ling, and Xuan Yue looked at each other, honored and surprised by the presence of this old man. They wonder who that person is and what he knows about them and their goals.
The old man stepped forward, approaching them slowly. "I am Master Xuanming, the guardian of this peak secret. You are the chosen ones who have passed the exams and challenges to get here. Now, it's time for you to unravel the true mystery of the power you seek."
"This final test will test your ability to rid yourself of personal ambition and lust," Master Xuanming said firmly. "True strength can only be obtained by those who understand the true meaning of cultivation and have sincere determination."
Carefully, Liang Chen, Mei Ling, and Xuan Yue entered the final examination room. They are faced with a large mirror that reflects their own image. In front of the mirror, they had to face their deepest desires and ambitions. They must prove that they are ready to use the power they dream of for a greater good than themselves.

With deep gratitude and appreciation, Liang Chen, Mei Ling, and Xuan Yue received the Essence Stone from Master Xuanming. They know that their journey is not over. Their newfound strength will lead them to even greater new adventures and challenges.
Chapter 35 ended with Liang Chen, Mei Ling, and Xuan Yue stepping out of the temple with the Essence Stone in their hands. They feel full of hope and passion for a challenging future, ready to face anything that might be waiting for them on their way to the peak of true strength.
