Happy reading 💖

As Troy and Angga were arguing over who would be the priest, an old man wearing a turban suddenly entered into a surau. The man didn't say much. He just smiled at them.

"Rather than you fuss, it is better for the grandfather to be the priest" Sapphira was cut off when he saw Troy and Angga about to continue the debate. "Grandfather, would you like to become a priest of the Maghrib prayer?"

The old man smiled and nodded in agreement. Troy and Angga immediately stopped arguing. Finally the three of them prayed Maghrib led by the sacrificial man. It turns out that the voice of the old man is very beautiful and able to wash away the feelings of the prayer masters. The voice that recites the holy verses beautifully is able to hit the listening heart. Even Troy sobbed when he heard the chants of the holy verses that the old man had read. This is something that never happened in Troy's life history.

Angga and Sapphira though not to cry like Troy, but their hearts were also touched listening to the old man's reading. A voice that is able to calm down and sweep away anyone who listens. A voice that can sedate his listeners even as if adding to the peculiarities of the masters.

Finished their prayers immediately engrossed in dhikr. Troy prayed too. I don't know what he asked God for. He usually kept his head down and prayed. Usually finished praying he immediately stood up. That is if he does prayer. Things that rarely happen. But since knowing Sapphira, that has changed a little. He began to pray even though he was not full five times. The change that occurred because it wanted to attract the attention of Safira. It is not a good reason to worship.

They seemed to dissolve in prayer so that they did not realize the surrounding situation. Troy and Angga came to a realization when they heard voices calling their names. Not just one person however, it seemed like there were some people calling. That's when Angga and Troy just realized the dark atmosphere of surau. Likewise, the conditions outside the sun are only illuminated by lights that begin to dim. They automatically look back to look for Safira but they do not see the whereabouts of the girl. Realizing this, they immediately ran out of the lake.

The two split up looking for Sapphira around Surau. But they did not find the girl.

"Where's Safira?" ask Troy to Angga.

"Gue's been looking around here but didn't see me" Angga replied. "Not the elo who from earlier really wanted to stick with him? How can you not realize he came out of this surau?"

"Have he gone back to the tent?" ask Troy without regard to Angga's words. "Lo see when the old man comes out?"

"No. Elo?" Troy also nodded. Realizing this, they looked on worriedly.

Meanwhile the voices calling out to them sounded closer and closer.

"ROY!"

"PRIDE!"

"SAFIRA!"

"WE'RE HERE!" sahut both in unison. (Hmm it turns out they can be compact as well yes).

Soon a group of men emerged consisting of villagers, teachers and some of their friends. Their faces looked worried.

"What are you doing here?" ask Rahman.

"We just finished praying Maghrib congregation, sir," replied Angga. "We had just finished praying when we heard our names being called."

The others looked at each other in surprise at Angga's reply. Some villagers even whispered. I don't know what was whispered.

"Do you realize what time it is?" asked Dimas while looking at the two in turn.

"A half an hour eight?" Troy answered uncertainly while looking at the clock that was coiling in his hand. His face looked surprised when he saw what time it was.

"Troy, it's 10 p.m. Don't you realize how long you've been here? Where's Safira?" ask Mr. Dimas again. "Your afternoon was with him, wasn't it?"

Angga and Troy looked at each other. This time the two could not cover up his surprise.

"Mother, don't joke. Safira must have gone back first. The proof is we can't find him around here" Troy said.

"We're not kidding. Safira has not returned to the tent. It was the twins who reported it," replied Dimas. "We were looking around the tent and the village hall but we didn't find you. We're heading straight here because Adi, one of Fatimah's students, told me you were praying maghrib here."

"Troy, no, you don't realize you've been here long enough?" ask Ilyas who was in the search party.

"There's no way we've been here that long. We prayed Maghrib was led by the sacrificial grandfather. We finished praying. And I'm sure I haven't prayed that long. Elo know how I am, Yas," Troy argued stubbornly. "Your hours must be wrong."

"Troy," call Angga.

"What?"

"Now it is 10 pm, even almost half 11 nights," Angga info while showing the clock on his phone.

"No way! Your phone must be broken." Troy again refuted Angga's remarks.

"Nak Angga is right. It's almost eleven o'clock." Mr. Rahman's words reinforce what Angga said.

Angga and Troy looked at each other with shocked faces not believing what Rahman had just said.

Both shakes.

"We also searched around here but did not meet. We also just realized when we heard you calling," explained Angga. "Where is Safira?"

"So you said there's a grandfather who took you?" tanya Fajar, the head of the village cadets. "Where is grandpa then?"

"Entah mas, just now when we came out the grandfather's manau was no longer there, so was Sapphira. Was Sapphira kidnapped by the grandfather?" Troy expressed his anxiety.

"No need to think weird! How could a girl the age of Sapphira be kidnapped by grandparents. Elo see that grandfather when entering the mosque the path is limping," Angga. "Elo mostly watch dramas?"

"Who say old grandparents can't kidnap a girl the age of Safira?!" reply Troy did not lose hard. "Where can you be sure that grandfathers are really weak? Could he be pretending, right?"

"Eh, that's over! Why are you guys fighting anyway?" cut out Dimas sir. "You better go back to the tent with Ilyas and Dawn. Let us continue the search for Safira."

"NO!! WE'RE LOOKING FOR SAFIRA!" they both come together. The others shook their heads looking at the stubbornness of the two. It was a storm, now even compact want to come looking for Safira. Mr. Rahman and Mr. Dimas heaved a heavy sigh at the attitude of the two.

"Okay, you can come looking but you can't fight. Our company will divide two. We'll search the woods. I hope you can maintain your attitude when you are in the forest. Do not talk strangely, do not separate yourself from the group even though you see something interesting and do not take a vow even if your feet stumble. Are you willing?" ask Rahman. Both nodded.

Before long the group had split up. Troy insisted on a troupe with Angga under the leadership of Mr. Rahman. He did not want only the Angga that was seen by Sapphira if the group of Pak Rahman who found Sapphira first.

Meanwhile, Ilyas and Dawn joined a group led by ustadz Ibrahim, the priest in the hamlet. Mr. Dimas joined Mr. Rahman's entourage.

After walking further and further into the forest, the atmosphere felt increasingly tense. The lighting from the flashlight carried did little to dispel the darkness that surrounded them.

"Sir Rahman, are there frequent occurrences like this?" ask Mr. Dimas carefully while whispering. But the whisper of Mr. Dimas even sounded loud in the quiet forest. Only the sound of night bugs could be heard..

"It's been a long time since the last incident, about 15 years ago. When a student who KKN in this hamlet disappeared when desperate to enter this forest. Until now the student was not found, not even his body was found. Since then the villagers have avoided approaching this forest. Even if we had to, we left in groups as we are today. Six years ago almost a child came into this forest. Fortunately, someone saw it and managed to prevent it" explained Mr. Rahman.

"Elo believe Rahman's story?" troy whispered to Angga who was walking beside him.

"Eitherway. I only know that Allah created the jinn long before man was created" Angga replied.

"An**r, I don't think religious people like elo believe in mystical things" Troy chuckled with a cynical laugh.

"Mas, if you speak carefully," one of the villagers who walked behind them warned. Both of them immediately fell silent

But that didn't last long. Troy began to be impatient because it had been more than two hours they walked but the trail of Safira remains undiscovered. His legs were getting tired, his stomach was starting to starve even his eyes were starting to feel heavy.

"Gue was unable to continue this search" Troy told Angga. "Gue's tired."

"Propsy. Said Elo had a crush on Safira. Cook like this has given up" Angga quipped. "If only so much doang lo struggle, meningan elo stop just approaching Sapphira. I'm sure he won't have a crush on a soft guy like elo."

"Ba****t!! Elo say I'm flabby?! Heh, cut it. Never look down on me like that!" Troy's voice began to rise. "An**r.. you don't know who Troy looks like."

"Sstt. son of Troy and son of Angga you better not fight. Remember what you said" Rahman reminded.

"Troy surrendered sir. He said he did not want to continue the search" said Angga. Speech that immediately got a lump in his arm.

"Hold on in a minute, Troy. You want us to search one more location." Mr. Rahman tried to persuade. Then they continued their journey to the river.

A completely exhausted Troy slowed his pace. One by one the people passed through it. Troy doesn't care about that. It no longer matters to him whether Sapphira will find out his participation looking for the girl.

"If you're tired, just rest. I will accompany you" said a man wearing a scabbard to cover his head. Troy looked at the man, but the light of the flashlight the man was holding suddenly went out.

"Would you accompany me?" Troy asked to convince.

"Yes. I have felt sorry to see you exhausted. But are you okay with me in this darkness?" The man asked back.

"Not what sir. The important thing is that I can rest. There are fathers accompanying you." The man did not answer. It's just grunting.

"You just sit there. If you're really tired, you just sleep. I will watch and wake you when the company returns."

Not for a minute after sitting leaning against a tree, the young man of the city had fallen asleep. Actually Troy felt uncomfortable sleeping while leaning on the moss-filled tree. Chilly. But the fatigue that afflicted him made him unable to survive.
