30 Darel and Little Ride

Darel continued to smile until he sat down on his bed. He stared at Naiki who was still flushed on the sofa. As Naiki stole a glance at him, he immediately blinked one of his mischievous eyes and patted the mattress beside him.

"Here, dong!" Darel.

Naiki shook her head quickly and threw away the face of Darel who was increasingly fond of teasing her. He then lay down his body on the sofa and hid from Darel's gaze at the end.

"I slept here tonight." Claim later.

Darel just laughed hearing that. He then grabbed his tablet computer which he put on the nightstand, next to the bed. Open an email and check important documents again. During his time as CEO, Darel had never taken a day off. Today was his first day of leave, and it felt very boring to him. So again he checked the email and looked for what he could do. No new emails are coming in tonight.

On the sofa Naiki was also busy with her cell phone. He sent the documents he promised Ivan. Documents containing points that must be approved by Brata so that his cooperation is accepted by Caraka Corp.

More than two hours of time have passed. The night is getting late. Unknowingly, Naiki actually fell asleep on the sofa with her mobile phone in her hand. Darel was curious, why on the sofa there seemed to be no movement anymore. He got out of bed and approached the sofa.

"Kc...You're really gonna sleep here all night, ice girl?" He muttered as he watched Naiki fall asleep curled up on the gray sofa.

"Your position is sleeping just like it was." He smiled while smiling bitterly. I don't know what they've been through both.

Darel lowered his head, stretched out his hand and was about to move Naiki's body to the bed. Suddenly Naiki's mouth murmured while sobbing. "Help me. I fear. I'm going home. Hiks..hiks..."

Darel scrunched his forehead. He lifted up his wife's body and put it on the bed. Climb still continues to sob in his sleep. Darel's heart seemed to hear Naiki's moans in his subconscious.

Darel climbed into the bed and hugged his wife tightly. "Don't be afraid, Nai. You're not alone. There I am here." He rubbed Naiki's back, calming her down.

Darel's mind goes back to his childhood. When he was 8 years old. When he found Naiki's figure curled up in tears in a park not far from Brata's residence.

Naik cried in fear at that moment. There were some bruises on his hand. Little Darel, who was playing bicycle in the park, came to him.

Darel then grabbed Naiki's hand which looked injured. He then helped Naiki to sit down. Because the place where Naiki slept curled up like a fetus was not so clean.

Darel then reached into his small bag and took the bruising and plaster medication. He then applied the medicine on Naiki's bruise and placed a plaster on the open wound on Naiki's knee. It seems like he had fallen, but the wound was not well covered.

Darel then gave Naik the water to drink and the bread he brought. Naiki also directly devoured it.

"Slow down, it'll choke." Darel said attentively.

"Whose name?" Ask Darel again.

"I'm Darel. From today we're friends, huh?" Say Darel while holding a small hand Naiki. Naiki nodded in agreement.

"Where is your house? Let me take you." Ask Darel. Naiki.

Climbing doesn't know the way home. He himself arrived at the park because he was taken by two servants who punished him for having just made a small mistake. It was not actually a mistake that Naiki made. Instead of just playing with some toys on the back porch of the house and make two servants who are in charge of cleaning the house become furious. They assumed Naiki had already soiled the house back after they had cleaned it.

"Do you know your mom and dad's name?" Ask Darel later.

Naiki nodded. He was still very small at the time, but due to his intelligence, Naiki was able to memorize the names of the surrounding adults quickly. Including the names of all the servants in the Brata residence.

"Mama Alya, Papa Brata." Ride slowly.

"Wait here for a second, yeah! I'll come back with help." Said Darel then went to meet Vanya, his mother who was playing with Killa not far from there.

Darel quickly asks Vanya to help his new friend. Vanya rushed with Darel. Upon arriving at where Naiki was sitting, Darel told Vanya the name of Naiki and her parents. Vanya was a little surprised, as he recognized the names of the two people very well. Best friend's name.

"Let's take Nai home, Ma. Poor him." Said Darel while holding Naiki's hand which was still trembling in fear.

"Yes, honey..." Vanya's voice rubbing Darel's head.

Along the way, in the car, Darel continued to hold Naiki's hand and calm her down. Darel is a boy who is attentive to everyone. Especially women and children.

"Don't be afraid. You're not alone. There I am here. You must be okay. I'll take you home." Say Darel repeatedly until Naiki becomes calm.

Darel and Vanya finally arrive at Brata's residence and deliver Naiki safely. Before parting ways, Darel promises to see Naiki back soon and play with her. He also promised to give Naik a delicious sandwich again later. But apparently, a few days after meeting Naiki and Darel, the turning point of Naiki's life occurred and they never met again.

Some years Darel and Vanya try to find Naiki's whereabouts, but nil. Naiki's life seemed to be blocked from the outside world. Until one day Vanya gets a phone call from Alya. He tells Vanya about the whereabouts of his children. Alya also requests that Vanya look after her children and keep them away from Brata and Steffanie at all costs. After saying those two things, the phone disconnected. The next day, Vanya gets sad news about Alya's death.

After twenty years passed, it turned out Naiki still had a deep trauma about the events of that day. Like at the moment. Darel continued to rub his back and said, "Don't be afraid. There I am here. You're not alone."

A few minutes passed, Naiki had calmed down in Darel's arms. His breathing began to be regular. Darel let go of his embrace, fixed Naiki's sleeping position, and covered her properly. He then kissed his wife.

"Tomorrow I will prepare a good sandwich for you. Now sleep well." Darel said with a smile and stroked Naiki's face gently.
