The next few days were as normal as possible for a ship to sail to the Grand Line. Sanji finally cooks the sea fish he won in the competition and Ken has to admit that sea fish tastes better than Sanji's typical cuisine.
The Straw Hats are really lucky to find a cook like Sanji. Ken could already see the Grand Line and there was no sign of Apis. Either he doesn't exist and the whole plot is for the filler or he fails to save his best friend.
Ken hopes the results are good. He did not mind helping the island and also getting rid of the evil navy and the strange Devil fruit user. Ken was busy training his Haki when Namu yelled saying that the Red Line was visible. Everyone ran to the deck to see how it looked.
"It's very big. I can't even see the end."
"The cloud has covered everything."
"And crossing the Red Line we shall reach the Grand Line." Luffy said as his voice trembled with excitement. Ken also looked shaken at the straight mountain-like structure. The more he looked at the Red Line, the more a single thought cried out in his head.
This red line is fake. Pretend it is not in the sense that it does not exist but rather in the thought that the Red Line was constructed artificially. The Red Line is straight and so is the Calm Belt. One thing he knew from his previous world was that Gods hated straight lines. Every mountain, field, ocean, river, lake never follows a straight line.
The straight line is more a line of human obsession and this Red Line screams human intervention from afar. It might also be because of the slightly different laws of physics that this world possessed, but once again there were lightsabers in the Ancient Kingdom. So who can deny the fact that there may be technology that could change the shape of the planet.
The weather got worse as they got closer to the Grand Line. The clouds had turned dark with strong currents and unceasing rain.
"I've seen the map and I still can't believe it. How can you go up the mountain?"
"It's called Reverse Mountain where all the seas flow upwards and change direction to enter the Grand Line." Ken said as he looked at the map showing Reverse Mountain and the Red Line they had taken from Buggy.
"So we just need to find the entrance?"
"Begging Zoro to find the entrance" said Ken.
"No. Not likely. I'd rather rely on my navigational skills than trust Zoro with his ship. He's just gonna kill us."
"RIGHT." Everyone nodded their heads in receipt.
"Ouch!!" Zoro.
The Going Merry had already started sailing fast enough while the sails were lowered. The current is strong and it is better to just follow it and adjust its direction only. After struggling hard they could finally see a small gap in the Red Line.
"Meet. Follow people today."
The ship immediately entered the crevice but not without hiccups. Ken had to fly and make sure the ship was in the right direction by pushing the ship from the outside. If he doesn't then the rudder of the ship will just crumble and Ken doesn't want that in his conscience.
He wants Merry fully fit until they reach Water 7. Or at least good enough to wade through the entire Grand Line. With that the ship began to sail upwards. It was there that everyone gathered for a small banquet to welcome their new journey and adventure.
"I want to find All-Blue."
"I want to be the greatest swordsman ever."
"I want to be ... I want to be a brave sea warrior."
"I want to discover the truth of the world and hopefully change it."
"I want to be Pirate King."
With that legendary proclamation, the Straw Hats that would cause chaos on the Grand Line were on their way to the entrance to the sea. But as expected, nothing went well for the Straw Hats. From afar they could see a huge blue mountain right at the entrance of the Grand Line.
"What'sthis? Why are there mountains in the sea? There shouldn't be."
"Oye Nami, are we really on the Grand Line? Why is there a mountain?"
"Stupid, take control of the wheel or we'll be destroyed."
The current was too strong and absolutely the ship did not change its direction. Ken has a headache seeing this. He thought his intervention would change some things but it seemed like he was too optimistic. Laboon is still here guarding this line like an idiot.
"I'll change course." Ken said as he flew back to the side to push the ship away and went to the side.
"Thank you.. Thank you Ken.. If you weren't here we would be dead. I don't know why there are mountains here. Maybe I misjudged that my navigational ability was enough to reach the Grand Line." Nami in self-deprecating behavior.
Ken just shook his head and said
"You're not wrong and this is not a mountain. That's whales. More precisely island whales."
"Huh?"
"What's?
Ken just didn't answer any more and started to move away from the strong current. Laboon still hadn't noticed them and just raised his head and floated up. The current was too strong and Ken had to use a little force to make sure Merry's head was fine. He didn't want to be in a whale's belly that big.
