This is the 3rd day Lily lives with her son and daughter-in-law. They are having breakfast together now.
"Dy, tomorrow I want to move to my mother's house, it's not nice if I have to live with you, too" said the woman.
"Don't, ma'am. I don't want you to live alone, besides that person can't be found yet, I won't be calm if you let me stay there" Ardy said anxiously.
What Ardy said just now is absolutely true. Inevitably, Lily must stay with them in the Unit until the culprit is caught.
After breakfast, Ardy said goodbye to both women to leave for the office. Because Alice told him that there was a staff who would replace Jian's work position.
While Jian was washing the dishes, Lily helped to clear up what was there. During her stay there, the woman had never chatted about her son and daughter-in-law's relationship other than about their marriage and pregnancy.
Lily walked up and stood right beside Jian, helping to tidy up the dishes her daughter-in-law had just washed.
"Son, can I ask you something?" ask Lily to start the conversation.
"Yes, mother, of course," Jian replied with a smile.
"How long have you been married to Ardy? And how did you meet?" ask the woman curious.
Jian was slightly surprised by the question of his mother-in-law. Indeed they had already told if they were married, but they did not tell if Jian was actually pregnant first.
Jian began to compose the words in his head, and tried to be calm so that Lily would not be suspicious.
"Mmc ... It's been 4 months, ma'am," Jian replied in a lie, considering her gestational age which has stepped on to 3 months.
Lily nodded her head a few times. "Did you and your family never ask where mom is? Or did Ardy say something else?"
There was a sad look on Lily's face. "Aren't Ardy trying to find mom?" ask the woman curious.
"Ardy hated mom so much, so much hate she even hated if I said the word 'mom' in front of her. And that hatred Ardy unleashed on many of the women who were his victims. But when I met him, Ardy's hatred for mother was slightly eroded, and then there was a curiosity where the mother's absence was," Jian explained.
Lily then fell silent, apparently her disappearance created a huge misunderstanding.
"Then, are you also a victim of Ardy's hate-mongering?" lily asked a little doubtfully.
The question made Jian instantly nervous.
"You mean, mom?" Jian asked back.
"No, I didn't mean to ask that question. Never mind, no need to answer. Most importantly Ardy has changed now. And thanks for helping me, I don't know what would happen if you didn't help me" Lily said.
Jian was slightly moved by his mother-in-law's thanks.
"Together, mom. Perhaps all of this has also been outlined by God," Jian replied while putting the last dish he washed.
"Mom's lucky to have a good daughter-in-law like you, son. Ardy didn't choose wrong" said the woman.
Jian blushed in embarrassment. He also felt very lucky to have a husband and in-law as good as them.
