Liany clasped her phone restlessly, it had been three days that there had been no news from her husband. As busy as Adam must have been he kept sending short messages. Two nights ago he had a nightmare, seeing Adam on a shipwreck and waving his hand. His heart always beats if he remembers his dream.

The sound of a knock on the door suddenly broke Liany's daydream, rushing him to open the door to see who was coming. Two men in uniforms similar to her husband were standing at her door.

“True this with Mrs Adam Pratama?” ask one of them politely.

“Iya, it's true that I'm Liany, wife of Adam, please come in, sir,” with a sense of uncertainty Liany let the two guests in.

“Who's coming, Lia?” Liany's mother-in-law appeared from behind the curtains of her room and observed the two guests wearing work uniforms that were almost similar to her son's.

“We are from the Veco company where Mom's son works, we want to tell you something about mom's son and his colleagues.”

Hearing that Mother Witri rushed to sit down, Liany also sat down not far from them.

“Rig offshore drilling where the mother's son worked had an accident, there was a big explosion and some people could not survive, including the mother's son, Adam Pratama. His body that was thrown into the sea was found this morning and has been flown to the headquarters with five other colleagues.”

“Whataa? Those gentlemen came here to say if my son Adam died?!” witri's mother's tone was high, not believing what she had heard just now.

Liany's tears were unbearable, the air around her was thinning, but she had to be strong, she couldn't fall and was weak. The two guests said their condolences and said goodbye to visit the other victims' house.

After the death of the two guests, Witri's mother immediately hysterical, crying roared as if not to believe if his favorite son, pride himself home with no life. Liany's mother-in-law called to inform all her family members of the bad news and asked her to come together. Also a daughter, Adam's sister Eve, who was working out of town was asked to return home immediately. Liany did not tell anyone, after all she was just a kara, she had long been an orphan and had no close relatives.

“You ... You're the son-in-law of the unlucky bearer! You're the one who made my son wretched!” witri's mother's sudden crush on Liany.

“Mother, please don't say that, Lia is wrong what's the same Mom, until I have the heart to say that?” liany's tears were unstoppable, the death of her husband had made her life feel half gone plus the words of her mother-in-law who really added to Liany's grief.

“I won't see your face again! Get out of my house!” Ibu Witri shouted with emotion.

“Well, Mom, Liany will go but please let Liany see first Adam last time, Liany please, Mom,” Liany sat down while holding the leg of Witri's mother asking for her mercy.

“Good ... well unlucky woman, you can wait for my son's body to come home, after this don't expect you to have a place in this house and also my son's death compensation!” hardik Witri's mother while removing Liany's hand with a rough foot.

 

The sound of crying sounded earthy as the extended family of Witri's mother began to arrive, as well as Eve's sister-in-law Liany who looked very emotional.

“Killer you! Fucking woman! You're the reason my brother didn't live long, go you... go!” Eve grabs Liany's hair hard and pushes her away, if the neighbors don't hold her Liany has fallen on the porch. Small shrieks and mutters from mourners were heard, many taking pity on Liany especially the neighbors who knew that Liany had been treated arbitrarily by her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Even Adam's great salary was never held by his wife but his mother Adam.

Liany could not sit near her husband's body, RT's mother embracing him to sit nearby giving him a tissue. Liany cried in silence, no words and no resistance. In the corner of the room the mothers began to gossip with the rude attitude of Eve and mother Witri to her daughter-in-law.

“You are patient, son, this is all God's will, strong yes, son,” comfort RT's mother while stroking Liany's shoulder. The young woman could only nod with tears falling.

 

“How much compensation will we receive, Mom?” asked Eve slowly who caught Liany's ear while making tea for her extended family.

“About two hundred million there may be it, he said it can be melted within three days or a week,” replied mother Witri while preparing a glass.

“Mother will love Liany too?”

After three nights of incarceration and no longer needing Liany's energy, Eve violently throws Liany's bags out of the house. No one can prevent such cruel acts. Neighbors just shake their heads to see the behavior of mothers and children who are expelling their son's widow. RT's mother rushed to help her get Liany's bag and asked her to stay while in their house.

“It's okay, Mom, I'll just go to my aunt's house in the suburbs thanks for the offer,” reject Liany smooth. He does not want to be a burden on others. Rt's mother stuffed the envelope into Liany's jacket pocket,

“This donation from some residents, seeing the treatment of Witri's mother and her daughter, we agreed that we would not give this sorrow money to them. We are waiting for the right time to give it to you. May your life be good again, dear Nak.” Rt's mother hugged Liany for a moment. Pity and compassion for Liany's patience made her eyes teary. Liany really wanted to cry now, the house of her aunt who used to take care of her when she was a child was already flat on the ground. There are traces of wood that have turned into blackish charcoal big fire signs once engulfed this house. With two bags in his hand, Liany walked again, this time without direction and purpose. The smooth movements in his stomach made him even more sad.  Till,

“Liany! You're Liany right?” a young woman gets out of her luxury car and makes sure she is the Liany she knows.

“Myla? Yes, I'm Liany and you're Myla right?” tanya also changed to a girl who looked fashionable and canti it.

“Yeah where are you going? Bring a heavy bag like this, where else is pregnant, where is your husband?”

“Iya, Myla, I am six months pregnant, my husband ...” With a trembling voice Liany told a brief story with what happened to her.
