Nusakambangan, We're Coming!

Nusakambangan, We're Coming!
The Midnight Storm

Bima woke up when she heard a thunderbolt that broke up space. The roar of the wind is no less stormy. The waves ran closer. After gathering all his life, Bima rose up to step towards the open sand land. The flashlight he watched the surroundings. The rain greeted him. Along the feet that touch the watery sand.

Bima immediately turned around. Ilana had been standing in the middle of the triangular space looking questioningly.

“We have to go up again.” said Bima made Ilana respond then wake up Jesi who was still asleep.

Bima woke Falah with a loud pat on the leg. His shout also echoes beat the crowd of angry wind mixed with the wrath of the waves. Falah and Martin woke up confused. Bima's next instruction so that they immediately dismantle the tent and clear the campground removing the confusion of the two.

All moving fast. Martin eventually helps Ilana tear down the tent. Jesi herself stood trembling with tears that had fallen overpowering the increasingly violent rainwater spills.

The coats that originally served as tents had enveloped their bodies. Except Martin and Jesi. It was fortunate that Ilana brought a plastic raincoat that she immediately gave to Jesi and Martin.

“Quick we go up there.” point Bima to the left. “Fal, road stub. Here, golok.”

Without many words, Falah who had finished packing the goods into the bag took the machete from Bima's hand and stepped according to his friend's instructions.

“Capture, Tin!” Bima threw her flashlight at Martin. He himself uses a lantern that also serves as a flashlight as a supply of lighting.

Before leaving the threatened camp site, Bima combed the area. Ensure that no items are left behind or scattered.

Falah broke through the lush trees, occasionally his hands slashing at plants that were too blocking the way. Bima's reference path uphill quite steep. The rain makes the soil slippery. Jesi fell several times, his whimper often interjected between the wind and the water that was earthy.

The hour hand showed at one in the morning. The five are still crawling the ridge without any lagging plains. Martin's breathing began to wail, Jesi was no less dashed. Ilana shouted to Falah not to leave the group. Jesi broke down the road. Their condition was really like the troops losing the war.

Bima swapped her coat for the raincoat Martin was wearing. For practicality and agility of movement. Thought Bima before catching up with Falah who has no more visible light. While Ilana must be patient to seduce Jesi to want to continue the journey. However, stopping pampered is not a delicious choice. The legs become stiffened to hold the body to stay upright, and there is a risk of slumping down.

“Come, Jes. In a moment we arrive at a flat place.” persuaded Ilana did not give up. “Martin, do something dong, let him walk. If we keep doing this, we can get cold. Could get our hypothermia!”

Martin tergugu's. He looked at Jesi who was sitting hugging a tree so as not to slide down. Her sobs were scratching her cheeks which were now paled.

“Alright, if you two really want to die silly here. I live.” bokegar Ilana arouse Martin's consciousness.

“Jes, come!” Martin is standing. His hand was stretched out on Jesi.

And then Falah appeared. He then helped Jesi's steps were limped. Seeing that Jesi was willing to move, Ilana sighed in relief immediately following Bima who was waiting in front.

Ilana's face was ground. No different from the sighting of Jesi that is increasingly unfounded. Her hair that was originally soft was broken, now tangled up. It could be like a zombie sighting. Alive but dead.

Rain is no longer rampant. Ilana looked at the watch. At 04.00 WIB. For about three hours they raked the ground upwards. The feet don't climb anymore. Bima circulated the light around after telling the others to sit down to rest.

His bed that was soaked did not make him stop lurching. Instead he had to move a lot so that his body did not shiver in the cold. Bima immediately looked for a comfortable place to rebuild the tent.

About three meters from where his friends were waiting, Bima found a place to be desired. The rangsel bag he put down while slashing his breath. Then he called the others to get to him.

“The coat, Tin.” Bima stripped Martin wrapped in his coat.

Small stakes that are still stuck complete with the rope facilitate the establishment of the tent. Finished building the tent, Bima grabbed the cleaver lying near the bag of Falah's rangsel.

He shines a flashlight on the ground floor. Looking for a wooden branch to get a fireplace. Not getting many twigs, Bima was forced to cut a branch of a tree that curved down.

“Fal, please skin this.” said Bima while putting a stick close to his tent and Falah.

“Ready!” Looking for a knife.

“Let me help.” Ilana said after lighting a candle inside the tent where Jesi was cold.

The survival materials they once could practice here. Bima then sucked the wood that had been skinned. After getting a lot, he lit a small candle surrounded by small twig pieces arranged in a rectangular shape. Next he put the wood shavings on the burning candle flame. The little twig she was riding in the middle of the rectangular cross-section. Continuously crisscrossing each other from a small twig, the last medium twig is obviously a large wood.

The fire was warming around. Ilana tells Jesi to approach the campfire so that her body becomes warm. No conversation stopped. All too weak to follow the word. Only the mind is telling about what happened a few hours ago. A journey that drains energy and feeling.

Finally one by one they fell asleep. Bima who fell last had been stuck staring at the fire that left embers. He did not expect the choice of the road leading to the uphill terrain was endless. Moreover, the level of slope that is set around 350.Intrigued by their current position, Bima opened the map. Sliding starts from the Babakan Rangkup Beach, then covers the ridge across the peninsula. Supposedly if their steps remain constant, it will save the trip to the next beach. The reality is, the step felt Bima last night bring the group too to the left.

Bima was too tired to think. He also laid down his body. Wanted to forget about the unexpected trip earlier today.

Ah, nevermind. The important thing is we all survived.Benak Bima said as a smile dangled full of satisfaction.
