Not a Romance Novel in the Holy Temple

Right and left streets were crowded by people. However, do not be fooled. I also thought that the atmosphere would definitely be full of noise, which was just the opposite. The atmosphere along the way was not much different from the atmosphere of worship in the Holy Temple. These people just silently looked at me, while I sat sweetly while playing the lira inside the open horse carriage. It was my first experience to be paraded like this and seeing those adoration-filled highlights really made me feel awkward. The soul of my equivalence couldn't bear to shout, "I'm also human just like you!"

Now I am doing an activity that is only done once every year, namely the activity of greeting the entire kingdom. Of course I am not alone, I am accompanied by one of my servants and dozens of Holy Temple knights. By the way, my hand has been playing the same melody over and over again since the sky was still clear until now almost swallowed by the darkness of the night, my fingers don't hurt at all.

No wonder, anyway. I alone can endure almost a full year without sleep, little things like this are nothing.

"Holy one, we will arrive at the castle" said the coachman, who is also a knight of the Holy Temple, hard in the middle of the horse-footed jolt and my increasingly loud rhythmic game along with the streets that are slowly deserted by buildings and residents, the, either because it was late at night or because our group began to enter the castle complex.

Shortly thereafter, a super-large and tall archway was visible from a distance. The arch was connected to the wall, making it look like most medieval fortresses in Europe. I cannot describe the architecture well, which is clearly unlike most of the gateways in Indonesia that are not connected to the wall, only installed on the right and left side of the road. If you've ever visited or seen the fort, you know what I mean.

A group of guards patrolling on their horses immediately surrounded us. I think they know that our entourage is the entourage of the Holy Temple. There was no way they didn't know, they should have been able to identify the chariot and clothes of the Holy Temple's knights. However, I think they stopped us because of professionalism.

"We are from the Holy Temple" one of the front row knights replied to the leader of the guard group. He nodded his head and said, "Please enter." The guards then pulled over-gave way for us-after hearing the answer from their leader. Before leaving, the knights descended from the horse and lit a lantern attached to the horse's neck.

Then one of the guards took the front row, leading us. Apparently, the journey is still long enough to actually reach the castle. The road is winding and uphill, it looks like this castle was built in the highland area, reinforced by the presence of dense forests along the road. I feel like I'm entering the remote castle territory of a thousand-year-old vampire noble. Very horror. Moreover, it was now completely dark. Even though the surroundings were quite bright by the lighting of the lanterns, the atmosphere still felt horror. Completely silent, not a single one of the group let out a sound. Only the roar of horses, the sound of crickets, and the roar of the night wind sounded rhythmic.

Can't stand it, I'm playing the lira.

But it seems I took a wrong step. I don't know why the atmosphere is getting more horrible. I got the illusion that I was a beautiful but evil forest fairy who was hypnotizing human prey with a beautiful musical melody ....

I sighed and put the lira back beside me.

"Holy one, we'll be there soon." As the guard said, a small archway was visible afterwards. The road after the gate was different. If before it was land, now it was stones that were lined up neatly, like in-paving.

Not all the knights came down with me. I was accompanied only by my servant and a knight. The rest were probably heading to the stables to park the horses and carriages.

In the middle of the lobby, we were greeted by some castle guards and a man I believed to be the prince ...? The man did not wear armor like the others, but rather a set of clothes that showed that the wearer was a noble. In addition, he looks young, like in his 20s or below a little and especially he is very handsome.

He smiled and bowed his body. Right after, my body bent back on itself. Although I was only a short bow and not low enough, wasn't a saint the strongest and noblest existence after a god in this world? Strange, what is this body bent for?

He extended his hand. My hand is stretched out over this man's hand. Then, she brought my palm to her lips, gently kissing my knuckles. "Welcome to the Kingdom of Annairam, the Holy One. Let me introduce myself. The servant's name is Xavier and the servant is the current crown prince."

It seemed to be true that a saint was the second highest existence. Otherwise, surely a person of the class of the crown prince would not have conceived himself as a servant and told him his name carelessly .... Apparently Aeris was generous enough to bow down.

"Allow the servant to accompany the Holy One to the prepared room."

"Call the servant and escort the knight and the servant of the Holy One to his room." This man then waved his hand at the group of guards, hinting to leave.

It's just me and this guy. He walked in front, and I followed him in the back. He spoke non-stop along the way. At first, he tried to get me to talk, but Aeris was the kind of person who was speechless and cold. Of course this man got silence in response. He began to talk about his personal life, especially his childhood.

"Holy One, this is your room. If there is something, you simply ring the bell in the room, there is no need to go out looking for a waiter. Servant will order some servants to stand guard here immediately." He bowed for a while before leaving.

I went in and closed the door on my back.

You know, the conclusion I got from the crown prince's story is that I'm much older than him. Apparently, this meeting was the umpteenth time. Aeris first saw him when the crown prince was still a child and they were apparently quite 'close'.
