Nagara Nusantara's
Chapter 1: The Wounded Insincer

“…”

Rebelling, I woke up from that nightmare that had come back to haunt me. Immediately opening my eyes, I found my real body lying on a blue mattress, staring at the steel sky with the huge screws holding it. This room was so foreign that it took me a moment to realize where I really was, in a cruise ship cabin.

“That dream again.”

Grabbing the watch lying on the table on the side of the mattress reveals the needle in a position at 10:12. Successfully collecting the remains of my life, I forced my sweaty body to wake up from this kapok island trap, before taking out a white jar that stood right next to my watch.

I took out a few small-sized pills and immediately placed them on this dry tongue. Waiting for a moment while drinking water and stretching, the tremors that initially spread to the corners of my hands finally subsided.

“...In a moment we will arrive, Jackie.”

Finishing a cold shower, I wore a dress that resembled an office worker suitor, a plain white shirt and black trousers. Tidying up all the luggage inside the gray backpack, I then checked a black suitcase that lay blocking my bedroom door. Seeing him motionless made me breathe a sigh of relief, knowing no robber wanted to enter my room, even with the key and chain attached to the wooden door.

*HONK!*

Hearing the sound of a thick trumpet, I slowly lifted the black suitcase to avoid damage to my sleeping toy. Ensuring the completeness of the equipment, I walked out of the room while carrying the two items, before walking through this steel corridor.

Arriving on the wooden deck, I met the other passengers who were preparing to go down this yacht. Among them was a married couple with their two children, a flower-shirted young man with sunglasses and a straw hat, a group of workers who were preparing a cargo ship, as well as thousands of other passengers in their own diverse fashion.

It's pretty hot today. Therefore, I could see a variety of colorful umbrellas scattered on the deck, protecting the passengers from the ferocious dry season sun. Behind this crowd, I can also see the land that is getting closer.A port pier with its magnificent buildings, as well as an orange marker that leans on the hillside behind it—Port Kusumajaya.

Waiting for a moment after the ship docked, I and thousands of other passengers began to enter the port terminal using one of the 6 garbarata that bound the ship. A clean white marble floor, various towering steel pillars, a central atrium opening mezzanine with welcome markers hanging from the ceiling, all this apparently managed to captivate my attention… What a promising place.

Under this scorching weather, I stepped out of the port veranda towards the vehicle parking building. Surrounding this building, I searched the parking number on my phone for a black sedan with a male figure leaning against it. Come on. You don't need to be that formal with your red batik and roses.

“Tuan Dika's. Welcome to Kusumajaya.”

He introduced himself as Roland, the personal driver of a figure named “Tuan Kotaro”. Using the sedan, apparently he sent Roland to save me from this sun attack. Opening the back door, I slowly put down my entire luggage, before occupying the left seat with a treat in the form of a bottle of cold tea.

“Thank you, Roland.”

“Honour is in my hands, Mr. Dika.”

Leaving the harbor area through a highway that cuts through green hills, the journey takes about 15 minutes to replace the coastal landscape with various skyscrapers. I also invited Roland to play a local rock album, where he started tapping the steering wheel to the beat of the song.

“Is everything smooth in Vienna, Mr Dika?”

“Migration and the state of Nikita is quite good.. If all goes according to plan, then we can establish a strong foothold in early November of this year.”.

“It looks like the arrival of Mrs Nikita will also be a birthday gift for Mr.”

“Not wrong.”

I found myself entering the Great Cakra District, an area that had a reputation for being

various elite housing and shopping centers especially— along Kalimas Road. Of course, Sunday makes the visitors swarm this location like a storm laron.

“Roland, can I get off here?”

“Hm? You want to browse Kalimas, Mr Dika?”

Apparently Roland had caught my wish to appear under the heat of this sea of people. How not? If I am going to study the city, then it would be good if I blend in and observe the local atmosphere up close.

“Although so, I can not expel worries over what they will say to the Master later.

“I will take care of it... Is my destination still far away?”

“About three kilometers to the east.”

“Alright... Thank you for taking the time to drop me off, Roland.”

“While, Mr. Dika.”

Successfully lowering both the cargo and my body, I observed Roland's car speeding away slowly leaving me alone among this crowd. Rotating the body, I traced this brick path to begin my expedition and reconnaissance mission.

Along the way, I met various shops, ranging from supermarkets, boutiques, jewelry stores, grocery stores, supermarkets, to malls that rise between everything. Sailing through a sea of humans, I took a left bow to avoid all this hustle— opening myself into a small path.

Its width does not reach one meter, has not been reduced by various plant pots, piles of cardboard and plastic boxes, to small but clean gutters on the sides. Ignoring it, the indented position caused the windowless shopping wall to cover this small street segment, hiding it from the outside world.

Therefore, it is not surprising that this “gua” will feel lonely neglected by the travelers out there. But this silence also hides something that is enough to awaken my hair. Something is not right will happen here soon.

“KYAAA!!”

“...Long lifespan.”

I found a female figure emerging from another small turn, with two male figures cornered on the wall of this building. Apparently our friends today are middle-aged figures with bodies in the form of clumps of dirt, as well as a young man who resembles a tree branch. Following instinct, I immediately hid behind a closed fence structure.

Laying down and securing both cargoes, I took my tea bottle before walking slowly towards those who apparently were unaware of my whereabouts, albeit at a distance of less than 10 meters. I could hear the words from their lewd faces, wrapped in a sweet promise to rob them.

“Happy really... You are sexy again~”.

“L-Detach!!”

*THUCK!*

Sensing the bottle hitting his nape, the tree branch immediately turned its attention to me and revealed the face of the young lady who was now pairing a look full of horror. Meanwhile, the wisp of dirt was apparently still processing what had just befallen his partner.

“Shoppers... Brash little boy!!”

“Hiick—!!”

Hostaging her, the tree branch pulled out a sharp-edged iron object that was immediately pointed at the poor woman's neck. Not bad, the desire to doubt the figure of the prince when he will save his daughter. But of course, a mere miracle and full of delusion will not come just behind the cruelty of reality.

Unfortunately, the world is not a fairy tale.

“How dare you meddle~ Want to find trouble, HUH!?”

Finally landing attention on me, the wisp of dirt took a haughty step to approach me,

shook his entire fat fold. The figure seemed to have fallen deep into a well of lies, making him lose his sense and awareness of his rotten self.

Seeing him made me remember the difference between humans and beasts. He also stretched out the four large and moldy limbs, apparently wanting to act as a “predator”

wanting to threaten and scare his prey, I. Instead of being scared, he managed to make me feel nauseous mixed with annoyance.

“…”

Exhaling a disappointed breath, I looked up at the blue sky from the handful of crevices of the buildings that covered the road. I think even a “segar” city like this will not be separated from the existence of the trash of the community like them, parasites that will always be present eat away at human peace on the basis of their greed and selfishness.

“The question is, when will trash like you guys learn?”

“...What did you say?—GUHK!!”

Dodging from the hand that wanted to reach for the shirt, I quickly used the momentum to land a punch on the right side of his oily face. Not giving it time, I twisted my body to give the buldog face a roundhouse kick, making it fall down. I made sure to break some of his facial bones as a warning.

**

“G-Guh..”.

“...Eh?”

“Haah.. Now my shoes are dirty. Next?”

“K-Ko!! Tch! Hraaghhh!!”

Watching her threatening device lose consciousness, her flabby figure with his unrest and confusion immediately dropped the woman from her embrace, making her fall and scratch the road. Not delaying for long, he ran up to me with a vibrating knife that pointed at my left chest. Does he think I am a vampire?

*twitch*

Dodging back, I dodged his amateur slash and immediately caught the hand that was grasping the shiny blade, before smashing into his skinny elbow. This made him drop the knife and made it easier for me to topple him to slap this hard rock road.

*clank!*

“A-Aarghh!!”

“I win. Tell me, who do you guys work for?”

“What... You mean—Ghaahhh!!”

“Do not play with me, kerupeng. You want to die? I will not hesitate to press your mother's knife deep into your heart.”

“S-Yourself!! We do this alone!”

“Yakin?”

“*Cough* *Cough*I-Yes!!”

“Good.”

Taking off the arm lock, I wiped both my hands on her clothes, before removing and spraying the antiseptic on my fingers. From the end of the vision, I found the woman still sitting on this rough road, looking at me with a look of shock. Various red scratches can be seen on one side of his body.

“Go. Forget what you see here.”

“!!—M-Thank!!!”

“Now listen to me. I advise you and your pig friend not to repeat it again. Understand?”

“...I-Yes..”

Leaving behind a tree branch that was trying to swallow air, I again stepped towards my backpack and suitcase, before opening the map application on my phone. Here, I type the name of the endpoint location of my destination.

Turning my head to clear my suspicions, I found the two losers being forcibly transported by a group of black-robed. The sharp and circular silver motifs on the cloak challenged anyone with a curiosity foolish enough not to interfere in their affairs.

“During did not meet you.”

Anyway, back tracing this series of rat roads, I realized that I had approached the location impaled by my mobile phone pointer.
