Nadia Paramitha
Ddrrtt….
Finally my phone alarm sounds according to the time I set before going to bed. Before he woke me up, I was ahead of him. Put the phone next to my pillow and I turn it off immediately. That is, because from last night I thought about my first day at work, I didn't want to be late. Thinking about it made my sleep less sound.
As soon as I ran to the bathroom, I released a snare of sleepiness attached to my eyes. After about fifteen minutes of water for bathing and other morning rituals, I carried out my duties.
I turned off the air conditioner in my room and I opened the window, the sky was still dark, the morning air was pierced but it refreshed my brain. I put on the clothes I had prepared last night, and prepared whatever equipment I would bring to teach.
“Sayang is neat, definitely a great spirit yes the first day of work.” Mother said when she saw me coming out of the room.
“Dong bun.” sure
“What breakfast you have? Mother had made fried rice with toast.”
“Baked bread aja bun.” I answered while rubbing my favorite strawberry jam on the bread.
“This is the milk.” Mother brought a glass of low fat milk in front of me. “Spendbreakfastnya be strong to face the children until noon.”
I laughed at my mother's advice, and immediately finished my breakfast.
“Bun, don't forget to do’ Nadia yes.” My love to mother.
“Always accompanied do’a mother for you dear.” Mother grabbed my face and showered me with a kiss unfortunately.
I saw that the clockwork of my watch was perpendicular between the numbers six and twelve. It was time to leave immediately and I chose to go on my favorite motorcycle.
“Be careful on the road dear yes, do not speed, just slow down, do not...”.
“Each bun.” Immediately I cut off the mother's seizure that can not be used up giving a warning. Ever since the accident that took my father's life, you've been more protective of me if you want to drive. You could say a little trauma, but all has been arranged by the Almighty.
Many people die in traffic accidents, but many die in bed. Everyone has a different path to his immortality and I want to find a painless path when I return to my Lord. Those were the reinforcing words when the trauma of the accident flashed back in my mind.
My heart is full of enthusiasm to go to school, certainly not as a student as before, but as a teacher who will give knowledge to his students.
“Good morning bu.” Said a security guard as I entered through the gate.
“Morning pack.” My answer was crisp showing my smile.
Right after I parked my bike, shortly after next to my bike stopped a black car. I opened the helmet while tidying my hair that was blown by the wind during the motorcycle earlier.
It turned out that a man who got out of the car, he was unaware of my presence. I also walked behind the man. Looks like we're heading towards the teacher's special room.
“Good morning Mr. Ardi, Mrs Nadia..” Welcome Miss Hana to me and the man walking in front of me.
His name was Ardi
“Good morning bu Hana.” The man answered the greetings from Ms. Hana. Then look towards me
with a shocked face.
“Sorry I didn't know that you were walking behind me.” He said with a friendly face. “Is it true you are a new teacher here?”
“Betul pack, it's my first day.”
“Include Mr. Ardi, this is Nadia's mom who will replace Yola's mom who is on leave
childbirth.” So Bu Hana introduced me to her.
We shook hands and introduced ourselves. Ms. Hana took me to my desk and guided me about what I should do.
“Dek Nadia, if there is anything to ask please contact me yes, do not hesitate.” Said bu Hana.
“Good ma'am, thanks.”
One by one other teachers came, they looked friendly to welcome me as their new partner. Then the entrance bell rang, all the teachers rushed to their classes.
“Bu Nadia, already know where the class that I will fill today.” The baritone voice surprised me.
“Oo..iya not yet pack.” I answered a little nervous.
“Let me show.” Mr. Ardi offered himself.
“Thanks sir.”
I followed his big steps and left me a little behind. Throughout the classroom corridor some children were watching me, maybe they felt unfamiliar with me.
“Bu Nadia, this is your class now.” Mr. Ardi stood in front of the classroom which still sounded the joking sound of the students who were waiting for his teacher.
“Good sir, once again I say thank you for the help.”
“Do not hesitate to miss Nadia.” She replied casually while throwing her charming smile.
I also stepped my foot into the classroom that Mr. Ardi had shown earlier. While a little tidying do’a so that my first day of teaching can run smoothly. Introduce yourself to the students in front of the class. Then the teaching and learning activities began. Thankful, because they seemed enthusiastic about studying with me. Time continued to roll until the break bell was heard.
The break time was up, the students had returned to their respective classes. I went back to class too. Only two hours left today I filled the class, after that I can rest again because there is no schedule.
After that I went to the principal's mother because there was a message that she called me to her office.
“Honey, how was the first day of teaching? Cape gak?” Aunty Vera asked immediately scatted with a question when I had just entered her room.
“Gak tired bu, Nadia very happy.” Answer excited.
“Good then, aunt happy to hear it.”
Then there was a knock on the door, “Please enter.” Aunt Vera. The door opened and entered the athletic man.
“Sorry if my arrival interfered.” He walked in and the man approached us both.
“Pak Artitama please sit sir.” Order aunt Vera and the man, Mr. Ardi. Then she pulled up the chair beside me and we sat down side by side and smiled kindly at me. “Pak Ardi is familiar with Nadia ma'am yet?” aunt Vera.
“Already ma'am, this morning we have been acquainted.” Answer Mr. Ardi.
“Good then.” Aunt Vera smiled as she nodded her head. “So, for the charity event we have until where is the preparation sir?” Aunt Vera asked Mr. Ardi, and I just listened to their conversation.
“Until the donor's data collection ma'am. Less than two weeks of preparation and search for donors must have completed all bu.” Reply firmly. I saw Aunt Vera her face turned serious.
“I want everything to go smoothly, and please put Nadia's mom into the panic of this charity event.”
“Good ma'am,” the answer is short.
“Bu Nadia don't mind?” Aunt Vera asked me and I answered with a headband and was willing to help with this event.
Mr. Ardi reported some plans to be implemented and I listened carefully to the explanation. After that, Ardi and I resigned to Aunt Vera.
“Bu Nadia tomorrow we will have a meeting agenda for this charity event.”
“Good sir, I will present.”
“Bu Nadia want to go home now?” ask her while looking at the watch she wears.
“Iya sir.” Reply quickly. Some of the teachers have gone home because the home schedule has passed from an hour ago. Suddenly, something sounded. My stomach rang, Mr. Ardi gave a smile.
“Let's go to the cafeteria I happen to have not eaten either, I did not have time to rest.” Just ask me and I haven't had time to reject it suddenly my hand is pulled towards the cafeteria. Fortunately the school was deserted there were only a few staff who still stayed at the school finished their work.
Arriving at the cafeteria there are only a few menus available, siomay and chicken noodles.
“Bu Nadia want to eat what?” ask me
“Siomay aja deh.” Answer while thinking.
Then Mr. Ardi walked over ordering food and I looked for a good place for us to eat. I feel strange about this situation, why we can get familiar immediately when we just met today.
We sat facing each other while waiting for the food we ordered to come.
“Pak Ardi has long been a teacher here?” ask me to open the conversation.
“Call Ardi, don't be too formal. I'm telling you that I'm eating not working.”
I laughed when I heard the answer, and the food came. It turns out that Ardi chose noodles to eat them. I used up siomay and orange juice to stop the rumbling sound of my stomach. After we finished eating, we left the cafeteria.
“Bu Nadia..” I cut her words. “Nadia aja..” said I replied to Ardi's request earlier.
“Ehhmm.. Nadia wants to go home with no?” Ask with a smile.jahil.
“Na..dia..” I confirm not using ‘aja’ while laughing. He likes to joke too.
“Nadia.?” he said again
“I bring motor pack.”
“Ardi .” she rectified my words.
“I went home on a motorbike, Ardi.” while pointing at a motor that is not far from where we stand.
We also laughed just because we felt awkward calling names when outside working hours without additional sir or ma'am.
"Ok, then be careful on the road, see you again tomorrow" he said.
