Ethan came to the homeland because there happened to be a job that requires him to come there. And Ethan used that to visit his daughter. But he was so upset when he found out that his daughter had not come home, past the hour it should have been.

Then the upset became worried, as the hours passed and Vaye had not yet returned. Until he got a photo of Jilian showing where there is Vaye there and sat with one boy.

Ethan is between sad and unwilling to see his beloved daughter now have a lover. But then he also thought that it was natural, considering Vaye was almost 17 years old a few months away.
