Devandro's next plan was to attempt cochlear implantation for Sekar.

Cochlear implantation is the procedure of implanting a hearing aid through surgery on the temporal bone. The operation is aimed at deaf people who are not helped by the use of ordinary hearing aids. So, damage to the inner ear organs (cochlea) can only be helped by implantation.
