Bitter Reality

Asha stared at the confused conversation of Varo's parents. Not just Asha, but everything. Asha then ventured to ask mother Varo.

"Aunty sorry before. But what exactly is going on with Varo?" asked Asha hesitatingly.

Mother Varo wiped her tears. "Did Varo not tell you?" ask Mother Varo. Everything shook his head because of the fact that Varo never told him anything about himself.

"Varo has late-stage leukemia." Mother Varo paused her speech for a moment.

Everyone was surprised, Asha closed her mouth using her hands and did not feel her tears flowing. Dira who was next to him then hugged him. They keep listening to the words of Mother Varo.

"There's a way of healing that's a bone marrow transplant but Varo won't. Because it does not guarantee his recovery. Even if it fails, then it is certain that Varo will not live long in this world." Said Mother Varo while still crying sobbing.

Now it's not just Mother Varo who is crying. After hearing Mother Varo's words, all could not hold back their tears.

"Is there no other way?" ask Aksel.

"Maybe .... " Varo's father's speech was interrupted because the doctor who examined Varo came out. Everyone immediately stood up.

"What's my son doing, Doc?" ask Varo's father.

The doctor breathed a long breath. "Can you come in my room for a minute?"

Father and Mother Varo followed the Doctor in his room. While Aksel, Gavin, Dira, Asha, and Verrel they are allowed to enter the room Axel.

"Where's my son's condition?"

"I'm sorry sir, but the father's condition is getting worse. The disease is spreading all over the body."

"Is there any way to cure it Doc? Whatever we're gonna do! We'll pay the doc anyhow! As long as our son can recover."

"For now you should pray to God for the healing of your father and mother."

Mother Varo grew sobbing with her cries. What does the doctor mean? Is that a sign of Varo's life soon? I don't know but maybe that's the truth. They wish there was a miracle sent by God for their child.

Meanwhile

Asha et al surrounded the bed of Varo who was sleeping limp. They can't hold back their tears. Even Axel, Gavin, Verrel also occasionally shed tears. They can not imagine how a Varo who always smiled and cheerful turned out to be fighting a disease that could be said to be ferocious.

Varo who heard the sound of crying opened his eyes.

"Gapain lo all cry monkey!" he said he was trying to comfort his friends to be okay. Even though he himself is not okay.

"The evil Lo Var! What are we doing? The enemy?" Gavin.

"Lo's our friend Var! Why is this disease lo umpetin? Huh uh?" tukas Dira's.

"Ehhc ... Ehh ... I don't tell you guys that because I don't want you to be sad." Said Varo limp.

"I'm sad Var! I feel like I failed at being a girlfriend to you. Even you have gini disease I don't know." Asha said and her crying broke out even more.

Varo raised his hand and wiped Asha's tears. "You don't be sad, Sha. Just so you know you're the reason I'm staying put. I didn't know there wasn't you maybe I'm not here now. Don't cry anymore, do you? I will be sadder!" Varo said, not strong enough to hold back his tears Varo also cried.

"Our friendship is funny. What I used to hate is the same 3F, which is fighting the same Lo Cells mainly because it often hurts Asha. But I'm sure you won't be hurting Asha anymore right?" varo.

"Gue won't hurt Asha anymore Var." Answer Axel.

"Gue keeps your promise, Cell. If I leave tomorrow, I will send Asha to you. Guard him! Don't hurt the tree!" varo's message to Aksel.

"Lo, what the hell Var! You're not going to leave! Lo it's strong! You have to fight against your disease, you're fighting the same Asha made against me." Aksel's words strengthen Varo

"Varo you don't. You are strong! You can be healed!" asha. Varo replied to Asha and Aksel with a big smile.

"If you're healed! I promise the cave won't be ferociously Var anymore!" replied Dira and Varo just nodding back limply.

"Verrel I'm sending young lady to lo ya!" varo told Verrel.

"I'll take care of Var." Answer Verrel.

"And lo Vin! The playboy's penance of the girl is quite one don't need five!" guru Varo's. In fact, he can't stand what he's going through right now.

"Gue now doesn't need Var girl. I just hope you can heal! If you can recover later I'll date 15 girls at once." Gavin replied, Varo laughed wryly as his body grew weaker.

Suddenly Mother and Father Varo entered and immediately hugged Varo.

"Varo you must be strong, baby! Same mother Daddy will do anything for you!"

"Truely said Mother Varo. I'll pay anything for Varo's treatment."

"Thank you Father, your Mother has taken care of Varo to this day. Pardon me! Varo can't make you happy yet." Said Varo who and his breathing grew heavier.

"If Varo wants to make Daddy and Mommy happy. Varo needs to heal!"

Everyone in the room was crying. They didn't imagine how Varo would deal with his illness.

"You all have to promise. If you must be happy. You guys don't cry anymore! Anyway if I'm not here you should stay happy!" Said Varo and he already felt his head getting dizzy.

"You said what Varo! You must be strong!"

"Varo you say what the hell!"

"Varo lo must be healed. We can eat for free in the cafeteria. Lo forgot our class won so we ate free."

"Varo you have to heal, baby."

Varo closed his eyes for a moment to gather energy. "Va-Varo pa-pa saying goodbye, Va-ro ti-ti-sleep first y-ya." Said Varo and he then exhaled for the last time.

"VAROOO!!!" Shouted everything and the entire room cry so badly. They wish it was just a nightmare and then it could be gone when they wake up. But the truth is, this is not a dream. Varo has left them all. Maybe Varo is tired of constantly displaying his fake smile. And now is when he takes off all the pain he's been through.
