Tias squirms lazily on the bed. His eyes blinked softly as he felt the sunlight caught on the retina of his eyes. It seems bright, he thought. But for a moment Tias was silent as if thinking of something with that already bright word.
One sec.
Two seconds.
Three seconds.
Four seconds.
" Good mama! I didn't pray at dawn !" Tias immediately sat on his bed with frantic looking eyes for the presence of a wall clock in his room.
" It's seven o'clock as well. Grandma's diomelin address." he muttered.
Tias jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth. Without taking a shower he walked quickly out of the room with his hands busy combing his long hair. Hopefully, if the hair is still able to be tidied neat.
" Why are you awake, not sleep deprived ? It's still seven o'clock, there's still plenty of time to sleep" said Ruwi's grandmother.
Tias grimaced inwardly to point out his mistake. This is not his fault either because last night Tias came home almost twelvepm. His grandmother should have blamed the young Kades for not telling him that the group could take a very long time instead of a short time.
" Just get used to getting up at this hour until the angel wakes you up alone." Ruwi's grandmother puts a rough plate and a glass of milk in front of Tias.
" Girls wake up waiting for the light first." he continued with eyes that look cynical.
Tias rubbed his nape to relieve his awkwardness. It had been a few days he had stayed here but still his habits used to be impossible to avoid.
" I'm sorry Grandma, tomorrow Tias will not repeat again" he said.
Grandma Ruwi sighed and sat across the dining table opposite Tias. " Granny nagged like this because you were wrong."
" Tias knows." Tias lowered his head.
" Yeah for now it's okay tomorrow don't repeat it."
Tias nodded and smiled in relief. In the past, in Jakarta, all Tias knew was school and was confined to a house with various office files. Interaction is a very rare thing to do because of the limited time Tias. Other than his sister who often sought trouble with him Tias did not have any other entertainment anymore.
So when he was invited by Kades to the group last night. Tias felt very happy because for the first time he could interact with many people. But because of that, he also forgot the time and ended up waking up late without first morning prayers.
" Heh, eat not glared at the food" said Ruwi's grandmother.
Tias gasped and immediately ate her food. " Mr." he called slowly.
" Hm ?"
" According to grandma, Tias can not ya befriend people in this village ?"
Grandma Ruwi looked at her grandson confused. " You mean ?"
" Tias has always only known the same school as home. If it's busy, it's gonna take care of papa's office files. Tias never had friends or interact freely with many acquaintances. Tias was afraid that Tias' attitude was too strange to see. Time yes city people but there is no cool little cool." said Tias.
Grandma Ruwi smiled hearing that remark. Although in his heart he felt anger for his son and daughter-in-law who could not evenly share their affection for his grandson. " You last night how did you know the young man here ?"
" What is it ?"
Tias relaxes his shoulders down. " Tias is still ashamed of the eyes of many. It feels like Tias' self-confidence is instantly lost when viewed like that. Yes even though Tias knows they only want to know Tias but still Tias is not used to."
" But you can't get to know them ?" granny Ruwi asked again.
Tias nodded weakly. " It can be but shameful to be ashamed" he said slowly.
Grandma Ruwi laughed and patted the back of Tias' hand to calm her down. " You have to get used to it, and slowly do not have to be spontaneous. Grandma is sure you can change here. You also have to be brave for the future, right ? He said he wanted to be a young business man but was directly down gini in front of many people. Dare to dong, and point out that you are Tias's brave and intelligent granddaughter."
Slowly Tias' confidence returned. This is the lack of which not everyone knows. Tias may have a genius brain with a wide variety of talents that he is capable of mastering. But of all his advantages it was that Tias was lacking in his confidence. His shortcomings he got the results of how to educate his parents who are always favoritism.
His grandmother was right, in the city perhaps Tias could not let go of this lack. But in this village many people are friendly and accept it with open arms. Tias should be able to be more confident and stop being shy in front of others.
" Yes Tias must have learned to be more courageous and tried not to be ashamed in front of others."
" That's just grandma's granddaughter." Ruwi's grandmother said proudly.
" But if Tias can't do anything ?" ask Tias.
" What ! Only now you are confident even immediately doubt. You have no intention of changing, have you ?!" granny Ruwi let out her nagging voice.
Tias laughed as if he had succeeded in pranking his grandmother. " Tias is just kidding, Grandma. Tias is also aware that in the future the problem that Tias faces must be even bigger. All that Tias can't face if Tias can't cover up Tias's shortcomings."
Grandma Ruwi nodded her head and looked at Tias seriously. " Don't let down your uncle's hopes. Even though you were once far away from us and have changed. But I hope you can still remember all the words your uncle taught you."
" Tias still remembers" said Tias.
" Good, this defense of your confidence." replied Grandma Ruwi.
Tias smiled and looked at the food that was still half left. " Mr his food is salty times. Grandma asked for another wedding, huh ?"
Grandma Ruwi's eyes immediately glared in annoyance. " Your mouth !"
Tias chuckled at his grandmother. " The food is salty nek."
" Yes, what does salty food have to do with a grandmother who wants to marry again huh ?!" granny Ruwi asked in a high tone.
" Well people say if there is a woman cooking continues to mean she is already married. That's what people say, Tias kan.., do not know." Tias's voice grew smaller as the more sinister delicacy of his grandmother's eyes when looking at him.
" Said the person you followed, that pervert." Grandma Ruwi uttered an annoyance.
" Madamma is also a girl. The man said it means true."
" Yes but not the wedding kebellet as well Tias. Long time talking about the same you are also salty huh ?!"
Tias just laughed hearing that. He joked to add to the mood this morning.
