My son, not my son

My son, not my son
Chapter 48. Pain and Sickness

Brakkk

There was a sound of glass shard in the minimalist kitchen that morning. The sound came from the hands of a middle-aged woman who had just finished cleaning the dishes and glasses that she was rearranging.

Being a housewife has been a routine for Basagita mothers for decades. Today, he can not go to work at school because lately he feels often hit by headaches.

For three days he rested at home. And this morning it was gone. Because bored just lying down, the more laid the more tired, it also looks for busyness. Trying to rearrange the location of the plate and glass and even wash it again in the dish cabinet.

Suddenly, a glass fell out of his hand. He nodded and mentioned the names of his three children. His thoughts instantly floated on Ela, Fiya and Elfan.

Basagita's mother cleaned up the glass fragments scattered on the floor. Perhaps, due to the eye cataract pain he received, making his vision blurred or maybe, it could be due to lack of focus, his mind drifted everywhere, so that a flicker of debris hit the index finger of Basagita's mother. He grimaced with pain and pain.

Instantly fresh blood flowed from the index finger of Basagita's mother. He was still trying to endure the pain with a slow grimace.

Again, his heart, his mind now turned to his three children. I don't know what's happening to them now. That was the question in his heart.

Suddenly, he heard his cell phone ringing. He tried to focus his mind while looking for the direction where his phone is now located. He approached the dining table. As he remembered he put that flat object there this morning after breakfast.

But there's not that rectangular thing there. For a moment Basagita's mother was glued. Trying to recall where he put the phone. Yet it still sounds loud. He should have stayed in the direction of the sound of that voice.

But because the mind does not focus, plus withstand pain and pain, it also becomes not concentrated. While the phone still rings.

Nope. Not that Basagita's mother was not invited by Fiya to stay with them but, Basagita's mother did not want to. He prefers to be alone, making lonely friends without any grandchildren or children nearby.

Elfan who now lives with his brother and sister-in-law has also changed in a better direction. In fact, he often shows a more mature attitude in front of Fiya or Arion.

Arion's harsh upbringing, Fiya's chatter and many other life lessons change Elfan. It hasn't even been a matter of years that she's been living with her sister.

At first, Fiya disagrees with Elfan. But the mother remained with her stance. In the hope of changing the son by his distance from the mother.

Staggering, holding a finger covered in cotton, Basagita's mother finally realized where the phone was. Yeah, he didn't put his cell phone on the dinner table. But on the living room table, near the flower pot.

He picked up the phone that stopped ringing. Seen a lot of calls from unknown numbers. There's nothing in his cell phone contact that number. He also scrunched his forehead.

"Whose number is this?" inner asked. There were five missed calls from the same number.

Basagita's mother is not a person who likes to poo about something. He ignored the call, and did not try to find out or ask about the purpose of calling to his phone. He took his cell phone into the room and put it on the bed.

Mama Basagita is now again busy with her hands that are still covered with cotton. He threw away the old cotton, then threw it into the trash.

Basagita's mother applied liquid Betadine on her index finger wound earlier.

Seriously dressing his wound with bandages, his phone suddenly rang loudly again.

"Hallo," he said at last. Curiosity has arisen in the mysterious caller.

"Hello good morning!"

"Who are you with?"

"Is this true with Basagita's mother?"

"Yes, I'm alone. Who are you with?"

"I'm a nurse from a healthcare hospital. Showing that...."

Hearing the words from the voice, Basagita's mother's heart raced very quickly. I don't know what's been going through his mind. He's getting confused. Linking between every event that happened that he experienced one day.

"What news, Sus?" tanyanya nervous.

"Is it true that the girl named Kaifiya is the mother's daughter?" ask the nurse carefully.

"I-iya, right," he replied, although accompanied by nervousness and worry.

"What's wrong with my daughter, sister?" ask Basagita's mother at last. He could not wait to hear the nurse's explanation which he thought was too long to buy time.

"The named patient .."

"What's? The patient? My daughter is a patient? No way," interrupted Basagita's mother. He immediately interrupted the nurse's speech.

"Silence, Mom. Calm. Listen to my explanation first," said the nurse.

"How can I calm down if my daughter goes to the hospital?" cecar's mother Basagita.

"We're calling to let you know that..."

"Hurry Sister! Not half - half the story. How the hell?" Still reading Basagita's mother.

"Mother's daughter Kaifiya is in the hospital. And now it's being treated intensively as a result of...."

The nurse explained, Basagita Sidan's mother fell to the floor.

Brucks

And.... The nurse heard clearly something that had fallen. But he doesn't know what it is. The nurse tried to name Basagita's mother. But there is still no law.
