My mother's a ghost

The Part 33

Doni woke up from his sleep because he heard voices outside the tent. He decided to keep his eyes closed, but instilled hearing.

Doni heard Sena whispering. Doni squinted his eyes and tried to catch the activity carried out by Sena. “Pissers, Ma.”

Doni understood that Sena was talking to her mother who had been following her since the beginning.

Doni still pretends to be asleep. He felt a movement that passed through his feet and out of the tent. Doni opened his eyes and looked around. Sena was not seen inside the tent. Doni sat himself down and peered out from the gap of the tent that was not closed perfectly.

“No way Sena would dare to go to the toilet if her mom didn't come.” Inner Doni. Long Doni awaits the arrival of Sena. There was a sense of worry because Sena did not come from the toilet.

Nearly thirty minutes later, Sena finally shows up and finds Doni sitting inside the tent.

“Kak, wake up because I'm out, yes?”

“No, I've been up from earlier.” Reply Doni. “Lo was to the toilet?”

“Iya, Brother.” Sena sat in front of Doni with her legs crossed.

“Bare to lo alone?” Ask Doni.

“There are teachers outside, Brother. No one's sleeping yet. Still crowded.”

“Oh.” Reply Doni. “Nyokap lo don't get into the tent?” Ask Doni.

Sena looked at Doni full of probing.

“Iya, I already know kok.”

“Since when?”

“Since last afternoon. Nyokap you keep on mempel. Lo's sister also continues right from earlier, now where is it?”

“Which sister?”

“That's short hair.”

“That's not my sister, Kak.”

“Lantas who?”

“Not knowing. I don't know who it is.”

They were silent with their own minds.

“Since when did Kak Doni get to see that?”

“From small.”

“How does it feel, Brother?”

“Ya not how. What should it be?”

“Fear so for example.”

“Ngapain scared? I don't have any distractions.”

“Nyokap I haven't died yet, Brother. He's in a coma at the hospital.”

“Iya, I know. Maybe one school also knows about this.” Doni feels uncomfortable having to discuss this with Sena.

“Please yes I?” Reply Sena with a resigned face.

“Clearly lah. Who wants to like lo.”

No matter how long a noise was heard from outside the tent.

“It looks like night jurit has started deh.” Said Doni with eyes glancing towards the outside of the tent.

“We are all awakened together, Brother?” Ask Sena enthusiastically.

“Neg. One group only. And it can't be noisy. So another group that has not been awakened does not know that the night jurit has already begun. I think it's now group one, deh.” Bright Doni.

Sure enough, the group next door started to make noises.

“Not able to sleep, Brother.” Sena hugged her knees.

“Yes already, I also do not need to sleep. What better to do?”

“If we tell stories, how?”

“What story?”

“About missing child two years ago, how?”

“Pak Har has returned.” Riki said from behind the durian tree. “Udah safe. Where are we going now?”

“Gue curious about the sound that you heard from the cage earlier.” Reply Ragil.

“But I checked, there's nothing there.” Answer Riki.

“There is a secret path that we do not know. We'd better stay here until morning. Later if it is clear, then we can continue the investigation there. What about lo?” Ask Ragil.

“Gue follow. Besides, it's kind of dangerous if we go there now. And the kids also want to start crossing this area for night money, right?” Sahut Riki solidified Ragil's thinking.

“Betul. Everything looks dangerous on a dark night kayak now. If there is a sun, everything will be easier. Yes, no?” Reply Ragil.

From a distance there are rays that move to and fro.

“Tuh! Someone is coming! Let's bump again.” Ragil.

Sure enough, the teachers crossed the durian plantation area to occupy their respective posts. The voice of the conversation to remove the sense of loneliness and also horror was issued by the teachers.

Not long after, the first group walked slowly through where Ragil and Riki were hiding. Ragil coolly recorded the children's activities and focused on counting the number of participants in the dark. There were fifteen children in the group.

Time now shows at the rate of one early morning. The faces of the children who were surrounded by dreams wore lazy expressions. But, what can be done, the activities that are waiting for it are very interesting for them.

Sena took the small backpack that had been prepared by Dusk, following with the stuffing. Checking again such fittings as lighting lamps, drinking water, and clothes.

Sena makes sure the shoelaces are perfectly tied and the jacket must be well covered.

Surprisingly, after Sena carried the grey backpack, she felt that the bag was too heavy. He then cradled, will it burden his journey later?

“Why?” Elano asked as she saw Sena was uncomfortable and continued to change the position of her bag.

“Fear innate I'm too heavy.”

“What is it that brings?” Elano asked full of questions.

“Everything that Dusk thinks is important. No need to ask.” Sena replied trying to stop Elano from asking further. Sena was afraid that later she would be ridiculed because of luggage.

“How come there is no ya?” Tia said to Doni as they moved in silence to do their next activity. They are required to line up within five minutes of waking up from the break.

“No how?” Reply Doni is worried.

“So sleeping, he's there. As soon as we wake up, uh she's not there.”

“What is possible to the toilet?” Reply Doni again.

“Try us to wait. Or you report Mr. Thunder, Don.” Tia's orders.

“OK. Wait a minute.”

Sena and the others watched over Doni full of worry.

Doni approached Pak Guntur and gave a report about the absence of one of the two group members named Danti.

Some time later Doni returns to his group and delivers the news that Danti is not feeling well and is picked up by his parents.

Sena and Elano looked at each other. Likewise with Doni who exudes a face of panic and uncomfortable with the fact that one member in his group does not exist.

Sena approached Doni, “Kak, earlier I did hear there were sounds of footsteps behind the tent. Is it possible that it was Danti?” Sena whispered.

“Gue also heard. How to contact Danti's parents, yes?” Reply Doni. “Gue please, it is true that Danti's parents picked her up.”
