My Lovely Busybody Girl's

My Lovely Busybody Girl's
14 - Reyhan's sister

Arka placed a bowl of chicken noodles and sweet iced tea in front of Shaila who was busy chatting. Shaila stared at the chicken noodles with a sparkle, she had told Arka to buy her the students' favorite food in the cafeteria.

“This food for my class sister who mengeselin,” said Arka with emphasis on the word ‘adik class’ while taking a seat next to Reyhan.

Shaila's smile disappeared, she looked at Arka sharply.

“Why do you think I like that? Watch out for the crush."

“Dih, unclean I have a crush on people like lo, will not!”

“Yakin? Ntar even chasing me, again.” Arka stirred the chicken noodles in front of her using a spoon and fork.

“Nih well, for example if you are the last single guy in the world, I better be combined deh frompa—“

Arka stopped Shaila's speech by stuffing her mouth with the chicken noodles she was feeding. “Where? Cute?”

Inevitably Shaila chewed on the chicken noodles that were forced into her mouth with great difficulty, her sharp gaze on Arka never interrupted.

Mela who saw the familiarity of her best friend with her upperclassmen just smiled knot. Mela feels thanks to Shaila, she also becomes close to Reyhan and Zaki, although not too close to Arka because the man has a personality that is difficult for women to approach, he does not care and like shutting himself off from the women, but different if together with Shaila.

“You are very suitable, very compatible to be a couple.”

Reyhan and Zaki followed Mela's gaze and looked at the confused Arka and Shaila in turn. Arka's hand still holding the spoon in Shaila's mouth made them both look ridiculous.

“Eh yes really, how come I just realized well. It seems appropriate, deh," said Zaki.

Reyhan grimaced while looking at Arka, he then shrugged both of his shoulders with both eyebrows also raised.

“Dihargain I ogah installed-pasangin same power pole kayak gini,” said Shaila did not accept. “Mending me with Reyhan or Zaki Aja.”

“It is with pleasure that I also want,” sambar Zaki who was presented by Reyhan.

“Lo mah kambing dibedakin also want!”

“Means you said that Shaila looks like a goat kayak made up, dong?” Zaki looked at Shaila while pointing at Reyhan. “Severe, La.”

“This is your brain once use to think, Zak, do not make a display aja.”

“Ye songong lo, I also make the brain to think,” Zaki approaching to Reyhan. “Mirning ‘toge pasar’, tapinya.”

A retell landed on Zaki's head, this time from Arka. “Bego, there are girls here.”

Both Shaila and Mela just stared at the incident in confusion, they did not understand why Zaki brought ‘toge pasar’ into this chat.

Seeing the confused look of his two underclassmen made Arka frown. “Lo don't know ‘toge bazaar’ tuh what does it mean?”

Getting the headbands from Shaila and Mela makes Arka and Reyhan exhale a sigh of relief, at least they are not contaminated with Zaki's dirty thoughts. At least that's what they thought until finally—

“Toge market tuh means **** big ass big,” said Zaki with his innocence and a loud voice, no doubt make some people there turn their heads towards them.

Reyhan patted his forehead, Arka sighed resignedly, Shaila and Mela looked at Zaki in disbelief, while Zaki? The man only smiled proudly and sinlessly as if he had just told the exam answer key to his two underclassmen.

Shaila coughed, somehow choking on what, she then glanced at the blue-colored clock in her left hand. “Me-Mel, just go in again, turn in,” Shaila said to Mela who was still pensive next to her.

“O-oh yes, La, come back.”

Shaila and Mela got up from her seat, and she said goodbye to her three upperclassmen, two of whom answered with a faint nod. Zaki stared at Shaila and Mela in confusion, then looked at his two best friends.

“They why, dah?” ask Zaki innocently.

Reyhan took Zaki's ice cappuccino and stuffed the man's mouth with a straw that was inside the glass. “Drink this aja lo ampe full,” Reyhan sigh. “There is no hope nih temen lo," Reyhan said to Arka.

*****

Saturday morning was a tiring Saturday morning for Shaila, as she had already undergone a series of examinations in the orthopedic section with a doctor named Albert. Instead of undergoing rehabilitation therapy or what, Albert just checked how the state of Shaila's bones by doing ronsen.

Shaila's left arm is much better than the last time she met Albert, which was ten days ago when Arka drove her here after she was thrown by the man's motorbike, but Albert decided it was not yet time for Shaila to do medical rehabilitation because of the state of his bones are still prone at this time, so Shaila just changed her yellowed cast into a new cast that was pure white.

Finished with all the doctor's explanations, Shaila walked out of the white room. With a new cast still coiled around her neck, Shaila walked casually towards the main door of the hospital, she stopped as her eyes caught a familiar figure.

There, in a row of waiting benches in the corner there was sitting a man he knew. Shaila stepped her feet towards the black-tailed man. The man who was looking down with his body bent forward and both elbows resting on his thigh raised his head when he saw a pair of army green shoes in front of him.

“Halo, Sister Rey. What more?” greet Shaila with a cheerful smile.

Reyhan's crumpled face looks brighter now. “Eh, Shaila. Lo yourself what?”

Shaila raised her hand. “Console. Brother belom answer my question, again why?” reset Shaila.

Shaila followed the direction Reyhan pointed to. A room with a glass door with a Cancer ward inscription in the middle. Shaila knew very well what the room was, suddenly her feelings became unpleasant. The girl wearing the matching colored cardigan with her shoes took a seat next to Reyhan.

“Kemo?”

“Yup,”

“Why not wait in dalem?”

“I can't wait to see adek I lemes so, anyways jerk again also finished.”

Silent among them, the usually cheerful Shaila was unable to find what words were suitable to say at a time like this. Not words that are just a mere pleasantry, but something that can make the man next to him is not as hopeless as he is now.

“My brother also has cancer,” exclaimed Shaila suddenly, making Reyhan turn his head. “Brain cancer, since childhood.”

Reyhan gasped at hearing that. “I’m sorry to hear that,”

Shaila smiled knot. “Gue is also the first same as lo gini, brother. Hopeless, my sister is sick. I always carried him when he was chemo, even though I wasn't allowed in because I was a kid. I should have always entertained him to not be sad or happy because of his illness, but instead he who constantly entertained me by saying that he would be fine, just fine, he also never forgets to smile even though I know how heavy the burden he suffered.”

“Definitely big brother lo a strong person, well.”

Shaila nodded in agreement. “She was strong, but unfortunately she died.”

Reyhan turned his head towards Shaila, looking at the grimly beautiful face from the side.

Shaila who noticed his words just now turned her head quickly and corrected his words. “Bu-not because of the cancer, sister. His chemo almost succeeded, he was almost declared free of cancer if only he continued to mengejalanin it. He died in an accident, like my parents," Shaila told Reyhan not to think negatively.

But that's not what Reyhan thought, but the fact that the girl next to him lost both her brother and her parents in an accident. And now who is he living with? Does he have another brother or sister? That's what Reyhan thought.

“Kakak lo died because of what accident?”

Shaila breathed a long breath. “He was a racer, behind his malignant disease, he was a reliable racer. Even if he does not die, it is certain that he will line up with world-class racers and become a representative of Indonesia.” Shaila looks bright. “But finally fate says another, my brother died on the circuit because of my stupid request.”

Reyhan was silent to hear it, hearing it made Reyhan sure that Shaila had experienced a hard time for it. Shaila turned her head and smiled wryly at Reyhan.

“That’s why, I really hate the same speed and racers, even I get PTSD when squirming that speed, but I haven't had that attack in a long time.”

“Lo means hate the same Arka, dong?” lirih Reyhan was more like talking to himself.

Shaila turned with a frown. “What, Brother?”

Reyhan. “Gak, it's nothing.”

Shaila nodded. “Lo be quiet, Brother. Your sister is absolutely gonna be right, believe me" Shaila said confidently as she showed off her row of white teeth.

Reyhan smiled at the smile, for some reason when he saw that Shaila's cheerful smile could make Reyhan's day brighter.

A long-haired girl walked out of the room in front of them, Reyhan stood up and welcomed the arrival of the girl. “You're not papa? want to rest first?”

The girl in front of Reyhan shook her head with a sweet smile, “So I've been resting inside for a long time.” she then saw Shaila standing in front of her. “Kakak... who?”

Shaila smiled and extended her hand. “Gue Shaila,”

The beautiful girl received Shaila's hand. “Rena,” Rena looks at her brother with a ignorant smile. “Daughter Reyhan, yeah?”

Reyhan. “Not, she's sister-class brother.”

“Long, brother where would you like to chat with that girl? It's obvious what's up,”

“It seems that the chemo effect also makes your brain a bit errant, well?”

Rena hit Reyhan's stomach which made the man laugh, Reyhan looked at Shaila who was staring at them with a smile. “La, I'm back first. Or do you want to come with us? I'm anterin.”

“No need, Brother. I took a taxi back,”

“Oh that, yes already. We go first well, lo be careful.”

“We used to be well, Brother Shaila. See you soon,” said Rena while waving both hands.

Shaila lowered her hands, she sighed seeing the two sisters walking out of the hospital. Suddenly Shaila misses her sister, misses her brother's warm figure. It seems like today he will meet his family first.
