Chapter 20 (Session 2) END

The clock shows time for dinner. Previously Erni had been cooking assisted by Siti. Erni deliberately cooked Edi's favorite food because it just so happened that Edi was in her house.

And at this time Edi was playing together with his two children to release kangen when Erni and Siti prepared dinner. A few moments later Erni approached them and told them to have dinner first.

"Thank you Er." said Edi as he walked along with Erni to the dining room.

"Thank you for what?" ask Erni.

"Hm... Thank you for dinner hehe." replied Edi origin while scratching his head which did not itch. Actually Edi wants to express his desire to return to Erni but this is not the right time especially now they are at the table eating.

Edi wanted to talk to Erni from heart to heart in a quiet place so that there would be seriousness between them. Because Edi is afraid if later in the game or there are still their children, Erni's answer will definitely be delayed.

They enjoyed their dinner happily, already like a perfect little family. Edi saw such a scene made him feel even more guilty about himself, why so heartless to leave those who loved him so much. And of course he hopes that in the future things like this are not only done at this time.

"I promise I'll do everything in my power to bring back your laughter again. I want this to happen not just now but tomorrow and beyond." - Edi.

And suddenly after praying and hoping like that made his eyes glaze over, all were unaware of it due to the focus on their food. But not with Leoni, she knew that her Papa was wiping her tears slowly.

"Why is kog crying? Mama's food isn't good?" ask Leoni plain.

Of course, the attention of everyone in the guest room was diverted. Instantly they compactly looked at Edi as soon as they heard Leoni's words.

"Dear, Papa is okay. Mama's cooking is delicious, this is proof Papa wants to add more." replied Edi with a smile and took the rice and side dishes again so that Leoni believed what he said.

"Ow kirain Mama's cooking is not good hehe" said Leoni while chuckling and returning to enjoy the food as well as Sifa and Siti. Yes, Siti ate a table with them. Because Erni had never distinguished who Siti was among their families.

With the arrival of Edi at this time actually Siti had refused to eat at the same table, but once again Erni still told him as usual even Edi did not mind it.

Hearing Edi's answer that seemed to be lying, Erni did not believe it just like that. He looked at Edi as if he was looking for a lie. Edi who realized that Erni was staring at him was just glancing at him and smiling at him.

A few minutes passed and they finished eating and were all in the family room but before Erni and Siti had cleaned their dirty dishes. They chatted for a while later because the time was up at night so Erni told her children to go to bed soon because tomorrow they will go to school.

"Let's have kids time to sleep. Don't forget to brush your teeth first." said Erni.

"Yes Ma." replied Sifa and Leoni simultaneously.

Siti accompanies Sifa and Leoni to brush their teeth and rest together. While Erni walked to the kitchen because she wanted to make coffee for Edi who was still in her house.

Moments later, Erni brings coffee to the living room and puts it on the table in front of Edi.

"The coffee is" said Erni.

A few minutes later the two were silent, because they felt awkward if they had to be alone like this.

"Hm... Er can I say something?" ask Edi, after being silent for a long time.

"What did you say?" ask Erni.

Edi did not answer immediately but he stood up and reached into his pants pocket to take something inside there and then walked up to Erni who was sitting opposite to him and then squatted in front of Erni.

Erni who did not know what Edi was doing was surprised. He slightly retreated his legs just in case Edi would do anything. But then Erni is stunned when Edi opens the box she took from her pants pocket. It contained a beautiful ring.

"Will you remarry with me Er?" edi asked by looking into Erni's eyes, because indirectly Edi told Erni about her seriousness through the look in her eyes.

"I mean Mas?" ask Erni. It's not that he doesn't know what Edi means. But Erni wants to make sure if this is just a dream or just a delusion.

"I proposed to you again. Will you be my wife again?" ask Edi a second time.

Honestly actually long before Edi said like that Erni had decided if one day Edi wanted to invite him back then Erni's decision was YES.

Not that Erni was not hurt already betrayed but Erni could see Edi change much better these few years. Also Erni wants to give Edi a second chance.

Erni just smiled without answering anything. It made Edi even more groggy. He was afraid that Erni would reject him. Because after all Edi realized that his mistake was fatal.

"Ers?" edi asked while Erni was still smiling without answering.

But suddenly Erni's left hand stretched out as if indicating that Erni wants Edi to pair the ring on her ring finger which means that Erni wants to return to her.

Edi was seen smiling widely then he immediately took the ring and paired it on Erni's ring finger. Then kiss Erni's hand as soon as she's done pairing it.

"Thank you dear you already want to accept me back" said Edi and pulled slowly Erni's hand to be invited to stand up and embrace Erni very tightly.

Ow ya maybe many do not agree why Erni and Edi reunited. Because here from my point of view, Edi deserves a chance because he has made amends for 5 years in prison and once out he wants to change completely for the better. There is no harm in giving Edi a chance. 🙂
