16. The Anti Past
At College
Anti studied in the accounting department at one of the universities in his city, when his parents died Anti had finished the thesis exam just waiting for the graduation call only. When he was in college, Anti never had contact with the opposite sex aka dating. There were only a few male friends he knew and one of them was Roni, a senior in his campus who was the target of the women at that time. The beginning of Roni and Anti's introduction was at the library. At that time, Anti was working on a task from one of his lecturers and he decided to do it in the library because the reference book he needed was there. Just then, Roni came and sat next to him while reading a book. Roni, who had been watching the junior for a long time, but had not yet made the chance to get acquainted, saw Anti walking towards the library as she followed him. Then he saw Anti sitting alone doing her job and he ventured to sit next to the hijab woman. After seeing Anti who is almost done with his task, Roni said "hi, you're an accounting child huh?. "uh, yes, brother" Anti awkward reply. "introduce my name Roni" roni said as he reached out his hand intending to shake hands. "i'm Anti kak" Anti replied as she cupped her hands in front of her chest and said sorry. "oh,,,,,, uh,,, sorry I don't know if we're not muhrim yes" said Roni understand. "yes, sorry if not comfortable" reply Anti. "not what, what, I'm sorry, I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable too" Roni said. Then they chatted casually like they had known for a long time when they had just met.
Until the time of his senior graduation, he asked Anti to accompany him even though his parents had also accompanied him. At the end of the graduation, Anti meets with Roni's parents and Roni introduces Anti as her boyfriend. Of course Anti objected and he told Roni's parents if he was just an ordinary friend and junior Roni on campus, Roni laughed and said that what Anti said was right. After that they did a family photo session, Anti felt awkward actually. But since this was the last time they met then he let it go like that, Roni took a picture of them both and with both of Roni's parents. Then Roni's parents invited Anti to dinner together, initially Anti refused because he felt uncomfortable because he was only a junior Roni when it was only the presumption of Anti alone while Roni considered more. So they ate together in a fancy restaurant. Two days later, Anti heard that Roni continued her master's degree abroad and their relationship was completed there.
