My Father is Not a Criminal

My Father is Not a Criminal
Chapter 6

Unbelievably, the days passed quickly. Currently Nabila no longer live hitchhiking at the house of Paklek Dika and Bulek Winda. Nabila lives with his grandparents.

Nabila was accepted as a new student at Negri High School near her grandfather's house. To go and go home from school, Nabila is enough to walk for 10 minutes, the High School where his mother used to go to school.

Today is the first day of school for new students. Student Orientation period should be followed by Grade 10 students with the guidance of Classmates and teachers. Nabila left for school while humming happily. The Junior High School uniform he still had to wear made him look more cute than he should have been a High School student.

The school was getting crowded, but Nabila did not know anyone there. Grandpa and Grandma Nabila indeed live in a different city with her father and mother, it is natural that no Nabila Junior High School friends are attending school here.

"Hi.know, my name is Dessy," said the cute girl with tears.

"Me, Nabila. Nice to meet you, Dessy."

"I have no friends at all at this school, I see you too, Nabila."

"Yes, Dess. Because I am not from this city. I used to live in the next town."

"Then, Bill. I'm not from this town either."

"We're the same class, Dess?"

"He em, we'll sit down!"

"Yes can. I don't have any friends yet."

The bell in has rang. MOS participants head to the field for the opening ceremony. Dessy and Nabila are no exception. Both of them rushed to the field.

"Duh, I don't like it the most, the ceremony and the heat of the kayak gini."

Nabila just smiled at Dessy's complaint. Not only Dessy, most of the girls, most males told hot-hot. Including Nabila. Fortunately, the Nabila class got a place lined up under the trees.

"Heh, move! Not here, this is my place!"

A girl who looked thin pushed Nabila. Forced Nabila moved to march elsewhere that was not protected by trees.

Ahh, the morning sun is good, it contains a lot of vitamin D, inner Nabila entertain themselves. Dessy who saw it felt like a mess, but couldn't do anything.

Sweat seemed to wet Nabila's face, sometimes the girl rubbed it with a handkerchief. The morning sun was indeed quite hot, understandably, the dry season. There was not a single cloud in the sky, so there was no sunlight in the way.

"Bill, are you thirsty?" ask Dessy.

"That's a real sauce, but how does it feel that the ceremony is not too complicated, really long."

"Yes, my throat is very dry. By the way, you bring no drinking water, Bil? if you bring it, I'll ask you a little!"

"I bring drinking water, only water doang, if I want to share later."

Dessy nodded happily, the girl did not bring any drinking water, to buy in the canteen, was very unlikely.

"Here, Dess, the water. Just plain water, but better, than dehydration."

"Well, thank you, Bill. This time my soul is helped."

"Select, lebay policy."

The two laughed together. Dessy and Nabila had become close friends even though they had just gotten to know each other.

The first day of MOS began with an introduction. MOS guidance brother introduced himself, then gave the task of collecting signatures as well as introductions between participants.

"I don't like this job the most. I'm shy, I can't reach out first" complained Dessy.

"So you met my old acquaintance, Dess."

"That's because I see you like me, Bill, I don't have any friends at all."

"Well, thank you, Bill. Not wrong, I just chose you to be the first friend in this High School."

Nabila just smiled at Dessy's words. Dessy looks quiet to the unfamiliar. But it becomes very tidy when it starts getting familiar.

The break bell had rang, all the disciples flocked towards the canteen.

"To the canteen yuk, Bill!' bring Dessy.

"No, I'm in class, Dess."

"Lha why, Bill? You don't want a snack?"

"Not that I don't want to, but I don't bring money," said Nabila.

"That's how it looks, I'll treat it. Come on, accompany me to the cafeteria!"

"I'm not good, Dess. You go to the cafeteria. Let me be in class."

"Come on, Bill! You could see me in the cafeteria by myself. Stay with me, please!" dessy Pinta.

Nabila could not bear to see Dessy's face, with a heavy heart, accompanied by her Dessy to the cafeteria.

"What do you want to eat, Bill?"

"You go, Dess. I told you, if you don't bring money. I'm just gonna get you, 'cause I can't bear to see you alone."

"You think I can eat while you look? Okay, what do you want? Let me buy it."

"I'll crumple it, don't see you eating."

"Don't be weird, if you don't be weird! Hurry up and say what you want to eat, tar hunt in" said Dessy, getting upset.

"Because you make it, yes, just like you."

"Well, that's dong. Wait here, Bill!"

Tabita nodded and sat on the bench closest to where they had been standing. Meanwhile, Dessy goes to a stall selling meatballs.

"Heh, move away dong! We're gonna sit there."

The girl who had kicked Nabila out while on the field, came with her friends.

"Yes please! But me and Dessy can sit here too?"

"You look for another bench, we don't like anyone other than our gang joining in" she said.

"Udah deh, Niss, justin aja, after all he's our classmate too," said a girl with glasses.

"But I don't like it, Laura. Let's just say what? He's looking for another place."

"But he's the one who sat here first, Nissa."

"Heh, you know what, if you find somewhere else?" ask Nissa to Nabila.

Nabila took a breath, then nodded. He is lazy to fuss just because of the seat, let him give up. Nabila immediately stood up from the bench.

"No, he doesn't mind, Ra."

Laura simply shook her head, while their other gangmates simply kept silent without comment. Nissa had this time bought them a meal in the cafeteria, and they didn't want Nissa to change her mind because they were commenting.

When looking for another seat, but all the benches look full. Except for the bench occupied by the escort brothers, it seems to still fit if plus two more people. Nabila sighed, in her courage to ask permission to sit down to join them.
