The Flash Back On

(TEN YEARS AGO )

I stood in the kitchen and stared at the blood on my hands while Aunt Bella kept screaming for help to help Rafa who was lying on the floor covered in blood.

I stabbed someone, I thought as I watched people come to take Rafa away.

Scared, I ran out of the mansion and into the small house behind the house.

I live there, locking myself in this house, I feel so alone, the only person I can count on is now dead.

I already had no one but myself to help myself, I just stabbed Rafa and I was sure that his parents wouldn't make things easy for me, they would want to make my life a living hell if Rafa were to die.

I can't stay here! I can't stay here anymore and let them come to repay me, I thought as I started packing, wanting to leave but then I stopped.

Where else would I go? I don't have any money at all that I have right now and I'm still a minor and an orphan as well.

There is no place here for me! I thought as I squatted on the floor and cried. I cried until I fell asleep, it was late at night when I heard the footsteps of some men.

Immediately I stood up and saw that they were trying to get into the house. I hid in one of the closets, hoping they wouldn't find me.

But they did it anyway, after opening the door, they walked into the house and after looking for me everywhere until one of them saw me and pulled me out of the house.

"We found her, ma'am," they said as they ambushed me toward Aunt Bella.

"Good!"

"Let me go! Let me go!" I screamed trying to pull myself free from the man's grip but instead I got a pretty loud slap.

"My son is now in the hospital fighting for his life and it's all your fault, you will pay dearly for this, I can assure you of that!" aunt Bella exclaimed while looking at me sharply.

"Take him to where I tell you, under no circumstances does anyone see you, I don't know if he's there," aunt Bella's word to the bodyguard who pulled me into the car and drove away.

We drove for a while and then the car stopped. They came down to the deserted old house and locked me in it.

It was quite livable if the person inside could do the cleaning but I was too afraid to do something.

Why did Aunt Bella bring me here, is this how she told me she was going to kill me? I thought as I stared at the house.

"I need you Mom! I need you so much," I muttered as I stared at the place with great fear.

A week later Aunt Bella came to see me. I was very hungry but I was always given water to drink. I couldn't take a shower for a week and it was because there was no water.

There was almost no bed in the room and I could hardly find any clothes to change but luckily for me, I found an old blanket that I used to cover myself when it was cold at night.

The guards came to me and pulled me out of the house. They pulled me out violently and made me kneel in front of Aunt Bella.

"Keep him away from me! He stinks a lot" said Aunt Bella, covering her nose.

"Are you enjoying your vacation?" Aunt Bella asked as she looked at me with a look of disgust.

"It sounds more like hell" I replied softly.

"I'm so happy to hear that, did you know that this place is hell for you, I think that by starving you for a week, you will die now but instead you are persistent to live, maybe I won't give you any more water, you two should stop giving him water ....... "

"Will you just stop! I can't last much longer if there's no water" I said, feeling very weak.

"Why! Why should I listen to you when you're spending my son's life!" Aunt Bella yelled at me in anger.

"But I don't mean to .... I don't ...." I quickly got up and ran forward to spit out something that was in my stomach.

"What's wrong with her?" I heard Aunt Bella ask one of the bodyguards.

"I think it's something pretty serious, he's been vomiting a lot of water and sooner or later he's going to be unconscious, we have to give him water a few times just to wake him up, I think we should call someone to check on her, you don't want her to die anyway, do you?" I heard one of the bodyguards answer Aunt Bella.

"I don't want him to die yet, I still want to punish him for what he did to my son but I can't take him to the doctor from the city, they must want to know why this fool spewed this here," Aunt Bella said angrily.

"I know who you have to get for you, she is a nurse and very wise at that time, she will be willing to do as you say, as long as you can pay her ......" said one of the guards.

"All right, I'll call him" said the bodyguard.

"To wait for the nurse's time to come, give her something to eat as she says, I don't want her to die, yet," said Aunt Bella.

For two days, I was given food and a decent bed had been brought into this house for my use.

I lived a comfortable life until the nurse came, who was introduced to me when Lita came to tell me that I was pregnant.

"Pregnant?" I asked to look at Aunt Bella who had an angry expression on her face.

"Yes, you're pregnant Miss's child," Litq said giving me a motherly look.

"Don't tell me it belongs ... belongs ....."

"Yes, it belongs to Rafa, Rafa is the only man who has ever slept in my life" I stare at Aunt Bella.

"It's crazy, my son can't be the father of the child in your womb!" Aunt Bella yelled at me.

"I was a virgin when Rafa raped me, he took my virginity and he was the only man I ever slept with, this child in my stomach belongs to your son!" I yelled at Aunt Bella for not being accepted by this insult.

"No! No, it doesn't belong to my son, you stupid boy!" Aunt Bella wanted to hit me but Lita protected me instead.

"The work has been done, what we have to do now is think of the child who is currently in his stomach, the child should not be blamed for what happened," lita said to defend me.

"Think of your own business, you stupid nurse, do you want to be killed, I can kill you at any time and be buried here, now you can too" Aunt Bella told Lita.

"You don't have to do that because I myself will shut up and I'll take this child from here, she's just a minor and she's pregnant with your son, she said, all you have to do is protect that child not to do his harm, come with me my dear," Lita said as she pulled my arm.

He started walking towards the door with me when Aunt Bella called for the bodyguard. They stand before us blocking our way.

"If you take one more step and your brother who is with me will die" the guard threatened.

"What! I thought my brother was one of the bodyguards that worked for you!" Shouted Lita.

"Yes she! He is one of the bodyguards here and now he will be harmed if you dare to leave this place with the girl," the bodyguard replied to the frightened-looking Lita.

"Now tell me what we should do to the boy! I need an answer from you as soon as possible" said Aunt Bella as she looked at Lita who gave me a look to apologize.

Flashback Off

PRESENTLY

I opened my eyes to find myself in an unfamiliar room, where am I and how am I supposed to be here? I thought as I looked at myself.

I felt someone holding my hand on the bed and I turned around and could only see Rafa by my bedside, rafa slept so well and her hands held my hands so tightly as if scared if I disappeared the moment Rafa opened his eyes.

Rafa looked like an angel when she fell asleep, I thought as I gently tidied up her slightly messy hair.

The movements I made were able to wake her from her deep sleep, Rafa opened her eyes and when she saw that I was awake, she immediately stood up.

"My love!" call her soft while looking at me fixedly.

"Are you okay now? Do you want me to get something or better yet, should I call a doctor?" Rafa asked in succession.

"You ......." I couldn't finish my words because he had already left the room to call the doctor.

Soon the doctor came in and checked on me and when the doctor confirmed to Rafa that I was fine, and the doctor left us both in the ward.

"You don't know how worried I was when I saw you yesterday!" Rafa said while kissing my hand.

"I'm fine now!" softly answered.

"And I'm also glad to hear that" Rafa replied and kissed my lips.
