My Aunt is my Beloved

My Aunt is my Beloved
CHAPTER 28 – LOVE FAMILY

“Is that Dilan?”

Kania's body was trembling.

His body felt hot and crowded.

The woman looked at Dilan who was still lying unconscious with teary eyes.

His memory overlaps between little Dilan the nephew in the past who was obedient with the hot-tempered young man who had no courtesy at all in front of him at that time.

There is no more logical explanation because all the evidence has led to that the young man was his nephew who had been separated from him eleven years ago.

At that moment, there was a sound of footsteps.

“Cassian?”

Kania looked at a middle-aged man with a handsome face entering the patient's emergency room.

“I've been expecting you just found out.”

“What does that mean, Cassian?”

“I'm talking about Dilan.”

Kania eyes back and forth staring between Cassian with the figure of the young man who was lying unconscious.

“So right he is Dilan my nephew.”

Cassian's gaze at him was clearly giving an answer, but Kania only wanted to obtain a confirmation answer that made things clear.

“I also did not expect that the barbarian girl who used to meet me who was more concerned with her favorite girl group concert than the health of her own nephew, it was you, Kania.”

“That's because Dilan is too good at hiding his illness alone! Moreover, I have been waiting for the concert for so long because in our area at that time the entertainment was very lacking!”

The young man's expression was flat, yet it was clear that he was enjoying the scene where Kania was misbehaving.

“Ehem. Forget what I just said. So, you who met me back then apparently.”

Kania also reached into his wallet. He took out two business cards from it.

One of them still looks very new, while the other looks outdated.

But both the new and the outdated turned out to be both written the same name.

Cassian Lekata's.

Both the middle-aged man who a few days ago gave her a business card, as well as the past youth who took Dilan from her by throwing a business card at her, turned out to be the same person.

“I never thought of it at all. Destiny is funny sometimes. I who tried to hide myself from my nephew because I did not want to make him embarrassed in front of his family even ended up meeting accidentally with him on this island.”

Cassian wanted to say a lot to Kania especially that she should not be ashamed of her poverty because neither she nor Dilan would ever bother about it, but it is difficult for Cassian to find the right words to express the contents of his feelings accurately.

At that moment, two grandfathers entered the room.

The other one looks much older than the other.

The older grandfather seemed to be limping with his wand, being held up by the younger grandfather.

“Oh, are you the one who saved my dear great-grandson, Young Miss? I say thank you very much.”

Said the much older grandfather who was none other than Andromeda Lekata, Dilan's great-grandfather.

“No. You don't have to thank me. It's only natural that I save Dilan because she's my niece.”

Kania said sincerely while smiling kindly to the two grandfathers and left the room.

Both grandfathers could not help his surprise at Kania's remark, but they seemed to not understand exactly what Kania meant.

“She was Dilan's aunt whom I met while picking up Dilan, Grandpa.”

It was Cassian who finally revealed the truth.

Cassian did not wait for further comment from the grandfather.

He immediately rushed out of the room.

That was because Cassian could not help but worry about Kania who had just donated a lot of her blood outside of her thin, dry body.

And it's true, just a few steps away from the room, Kania suddenly just fell down.

Cassian nimbly smeared Kania who seemed to have lost almost all the energy within her body.

***

“You okay?”

Cassian asked Kania as she poured warm water.

Kania receives water from Cassian's hand and drinks it, but then there is a long pause before he answers Cassian's question.

“I'm fine. Rather than that, Cassian, please be honest with me, what just happened to Dilan? Who has caused all these events?”

“Entahlah. I don't know either, Kania. A long time ago, there were indeed bad people who always terrorized the prospective heirs of Lekata Group. Both me and Dilan have been dying many times because of it. Even Dilan's grandparents likely also died for the same reason.”

Cassian replied sincerely.

Kania's eyes instantly widened.

He immediately raised a question to Cassian.

“When exactly did it all start happening? What about Dilan's father? Where does he go now?”

Cassian let out a long sigh then her intense gaze immediately addressed Kania.

“Dilan's grandfather and grandmother had died long before Dilan was even born into the world. As for Sister Andrea, she was actually dead when I picked up Dilan from you.”

“What? So it seems. That bastard guy who ruined my brother's future has long since caught up with Brother.”

Kania laughed wryly upon knowing that fact very late.

“Eh, wait!”

But then Kania's gaze which was usually gentle and sometimes a little timid, suddenly burned with anger.

“So you know that Dilan's life will be threatened if it enters your family, but you still bring it inside?”

The middle-aged man's face was flat, yet it still seemed a deep sense of guilt from his expression.

“At that time I had no choice but to obey Grandpa and Grandma's orders to bring Dilan, especially when the late Grandma was sickly. Of course it was also because I thought that being in our family would make Dilan safer once our family knew his identity about nothing that would guarantee that the person who had been harming our family all along also will know the information then want to harm Dilan behind.”

“So apparently. I also understand..”

However unfinished Kania spoke, his eyes suddenly once again trembling.

“Wait first. Did you say you experienced it too? So it all happened not only to a Dilan, but also to you and has even claimed the lives of Dilan's father, grandfather, and grandmother? But why did Dilan never tell me that part? Instead he said that all this was the result of your actions.”.

Once again Kania stuttered.

This time, it was because he realized he had just said something inappropriate.

“Ah, of course I do not trust Dilan's words in the part that you are the cause. Surely Dilan just misunderstood about you going to something.”

Kania replied firmly.

But instead of justifying Kania's last statement, Cassian focuses more on discussing the older cousin.

“It is true that Dilan's grandparents were victims of criminals who until now have not been identified. But Dilan's father died not because of that. That's because I gave him stale milk.”

Kania wants to wonder about what calamities Cassian often experiences due to the actions of the mysterious villain.

Whether it was more powerful or even more trivial than Dilan, and how Dilan actually suspected him as the culprit, what caused the relationship between Dilan and Cassian to be bad, there are many things that make Kania curious.

However, Cassian's remark immediately made Kania forget the other questions.

In the past Dilan once told him.

“There's no one worse than Uncle Cassian. Even my father had also been killed by him by being poisoned.”

Of course at that time Kania did not know the identity of Dilan who was actually his nephew, so he had absolutely no clue that the person they were talking about was the young man who had once desecrated the sanctity of his beloved brother and was just nodding normally towards all the contents of Dilan's curses to him in the day that's.

But now, Cassian had just confessed her sin, justifying Dilan's words.
