Ruri walked up to Ze and Jin hu then checked Ze's pulse. Ruri furrowed her brows feeling annoyed to find her foster sister's condition was getting worse.

"What's really going on? Why are they all in this place?" ask Ruri.

"They all know that Liyang is currently in asceticism and you are in charge of your father sis. Therefore, they do not want to delay in ending my life immediately." replied Ze.

Ze then told him what had happened since his adoptive brother and foster brother went to do their own business.

The flashback

When Ze woke up from his sleep, Ruri and her brother Liyang were chatting not far from where he had fallen asleep.

"Duoduo, you're awake apparently. I just came here to bring yiyang leaves for you and say goodbye to you because, I already have to do tapa in the land of the Holy Spirit animals" Liyang explained.

Ze attempted to curl his lips upwards so that Liyang could immediately leave with no thought of himself and never thought of canceling his departure to the land of the Holy spirit beasts to ascend.

Liyang stroked slowly Ze's head then turned to look towards his sister. He patted her on the shoulder with a smile.

"Thank you for helping to convince my father to lift the sentence for me" Liyang said sincerely and hugged his sister.

"No need to thank you, brother. I do this for the good of all." said Ruri with a smile of her feet, Ruri actually felt guilty for deceiving her brother. But, he thought that it was the best for all.

Liyang then left the place after getting a nod of the head from Ruri which means Ruri agreed to her request to look after Ze.

Ruri looked at her brother's departure with a feeling of guilt for feeling that she had fooled him.

"I've done the best I can for my sister. I'll get the real Duoduo for big brother later. Whatever the risk, I will be responsible for my brother and my foster sister so that both of them can be happy without having to sacrifice the happiness of one of them." Ruri's mind is still cool with her daydream.

Her crush Ruri was engrossed in her daydream, she did not hear Ze's repeated calls for her. Ruri only regained her senses as Ze patted her left arm softly.

"What's wrong?" ruri asked as she regained consciousness from her daydream.

"Nothing, it's just that big brother seems to be thinking a lot" Ze replied.

"What are you thinking, brother?" ask Ze again.

"It's nothing. Here let me check your pulse first." said Ruri trying to distract Ze to forget what Ze just asked.
