The day was already noon, coinciding with the office break and several schools that had repatriated students. The road is very crowded. Nearly an hour later Sandy was stuck in traffic. And finally he was in front of the building that read 'Stella Boutique' on the front sign.
Upon arriving inside the boutique, she was greeted by a woman, apparently a boutique clerk.
"Can I help you, sir?"
"Stella's there?"
"Mother Stella? Ada, Sir. Please sit down, I'll call you."
Sandy nodded, choosing to sit on the sofa, her gaze expanded to see some clothes attached to some mannequins, the room was also spacious, and neat, there were several photos of fashion design above the waiting room.
Tok tok!
"Come in,"
"Sir, in front of me there are looking for Mbak."
"Who, Sar?"
"I don't know, Ma'am. Men, handsome, hehe," Sari replied in a grin.
Stella frowned, it seemed like she had no scheduled fitting clothes with men, and what was Sari saying 'handsome?', Stella was getting curious.
"All right, I'm going downstairs."
*
"Excuse me, are you looking for me, sir?" greet Stella after arriving in front of the man who was watching the wall display.
Sandy turned her head, as soon as the world stopped, she looked at the figure of the woman in front of her, 'beautiful.
But what makes Sandy more surprised is, she is a woman who had met him at the funeral and shared an umbrella with him.
"Master?" Stella repeated her sentence when she did not get a response from her interlocutor.
Sandy cleared her throat, "I, Sandy," she reached out.
Stella greeted and said, "Stella."
Both of them sat facing the table.
"I'm Aiden's parent" Sandy told Stella's surprise.
"I want to ask for help from you, Aiden is sick" he continued unceremoniously.
Stella gasps. "Aiden's sick? What pain?" tanyanya was worried, because it had been almost two weeks since she last drove Aiden home and had never met her little man.
Sandy was surprised to see the response of the woman in front of her, clearly visible look of the face of Stella who looks worried about the state of her son.
"High fever, this morning he had a seizure, he just kept calling Mommy in his sleep. The doctor suggested that she take her mother to the hospital so that Aiden could recover. And all I know is that you're what Aiden calls Mother, can you help me see Aiden?" sandy looked expectantly at the woman before him.
Stella closed her mouth, even her eyes glazed over hearing Aiden's state.
"Well, I'll come with you, wait a minute, I'll grab the bag first," she said.
Stella ran to the second floor to pick up the bag and her cell phone.
"Sari, please take care of the store, I have important business, later you just bring the key, I've brought the backup," Stella told Sari before leaving the boutique.
The confused Sari just nodded. "Good, Ma'am. Careful."
The two walked to his parked car.
"You better come with my car, Miss," Sandy suggested.
Stella weighs, then agrees to Sandy's advice. "All right."
Alvin was surprised to see the woman walking beside his boss, he remembered the woman he had met at the funeral.
"Please," Sandy lets Stella get in her car first.
Afterwards the car leaves the boutique parking area to the hospital.
"How long has Aiden been sick, sir?" ask Stella.
"Today," answered Sandy.
"Em, just call Sandy, I'm not your boss" Sandy joked.
Stella. "You also simply call me Stella, no frills Miss," Stella smiled.
Sandy nodded.
There was no conversation until the car entered the hospital.
It was late afternoon when Stella and Sandy arrived at the hospital. The two rushed towards the third floor where Aiden was being treated.
Chequek!
"Assalamualaikum" said Stella after Sandy opened the door.
"Wa'alaikumsalam."
The three people in the room looked over.
"This is what Mother Stella calls?" guess Laras smiled in greeting to Stella's arrival.
"Yes, Auntie, I'm Stella," Stella replied with a clarinet.
'Beautiful, it seems like she is a kind and sincere person.' Laras comments inwardly.
"Call Aunty Laras, if this is Auntie's husband, Om Vero."
"Gue Fara, Sandy's future wife, as well as Aiden's extended mother," said Fara Pongah, raising her chin.
Stella frowned, then nodded slowly.
"May I approach Aiden?" ask Stella next.
"Can, please." The barrel moved from her seat, making room for Stella.
Stella saw Aiden who was asleep in the cage, his face pale, suddenly she wanted to cry to see Aiden's condition.
Stella approached Aiden, stroked her head dearly, lowered her head and whispered in Aiden's ear, "Hi handsome, Mother here, when will you wake up? Hem?"
It's magical! Instantly Aiden woke up from his sleep, making everyone shocked.
"Mother?"
Stella smiled seeing those two round eyes sparkling at her.
"Yes, honey. It's Mother."
Aiden hugged Stella's neck, she cried. "Aiden miss Mommy,"
Stella stroked Aiden's back. "Mother misses Aiden too." Half-dead Stella held back her tears from falling, she was so moved by Aiden's affection for her. Nor could he bear to see the adorable face he liked look pale and sweet.
Sandy gasped and was moved to see her son's closeness to Stella. Laras even cried in her husband's arms. While Fara sneered at the pretentious attitude of caring from Stella. Imaging thought.
Aiden let go of his embrace, he smiled looking at his Mother's face. Stella sat on the cage looking at the adorable little man in front of her who looked pale.
"Said Daddy, you don't want to eat and take medicine, why? Hem?" stella asked, raising both eyebrows, with her hand stroking Aiden's fingers.
Fara, who heard Stella calling Sandy Daddy, grumbled.
"The food is not good Mother, Aiden wants Mother's cooking," replied Aiden plain.
"Aiden want Mother masakin?" bargain Stella.
"You Mother" replied Aiden enthusiastically.
"May, but now Aiden eats this first." Stella held up a bowl of food that was still intact. "Tomorrow Mother masakin special for Aiden," he smiled.
"Mother appointment?" Aiden raised his little finger towards Stella.
Stella links her little finger with Aiden. "Promise."
"Now eat first, Mother bribe huh? Aaa.."
Aiden and Stella feel in their own world. Both of them, no! More precisely Aiden who is enthusiastic about telling stories, while Stella only responds and occasionally teases Aiden, for the little man to smile.
The activity did not escape the gaze of the four others, especially Sandy.
He rarely saw his son laughing like that with Fara who incidentally is a prospective mother to join for Aiden. Stella Aiden laughs happily.
Laras and Vero smiled when they saw that their granddaughter could laugh happily again.
While Fara had desperately held back from bumping into Stella, she hated Stella, the woman snatched the attention away from Aiden. Don't let Sandy too be taken by him, he won't let that happen.
"Mother, Aiden is sleepy" Aiden said after he finished babbling, exhausted.
"Want you to sing a song?"
"Mauu," Aiden replied enthusiastically.
Stella lies down next to Aiden, pats Aiden on the thigh and starts singing so that Aiden can fall asleep.
Not long after Aiden had been asleep, Stella watched Aiden's face closely, Stella unconsciously shed her tears, she remembered her late son. It did not escape Sandy's vision, she saw Stella who wiped her tears.
"Stella, do you mind if your aunt asks you to stay here?" ask Laras carefully.
Stella turned her head towards Laras after coming down from the cage. "No, Aunt. I'll stay here."
Barrel smiled. "Then Om and Aunty go home first, tomorrow morning Mama will come here and take care of Aiden," he said staring at Stella as well as Sandy.
"I'll stay here, too, Ma," Fara said, won't she let Sandy one room with her.
Vero nodded. "Then Papa and Mama go home first."
After Laras and Vero.
"Darling, you slept with me yeah, right there." Fara twitched spoiled in Sandy's arms, pointing at the single bed at the end of the room with her chin.
Stella turned her face away, not wanting to see Sandy and Fara's affection, she felt that Fara was deliberately doing that in front of her.
Sandy let go of Fara's hand, feeling bad that there was someone else in the room.
"You sleep there, I'll sleep on this sofa," he replied pointing to the sofa behind him.
"Stella, you can sleep with Aiden" he said, staring at Stella.
Stella just nodded.
Fara walked by stomping her feet, she was annoyed that Sandy rejected her offer, she sat down on the sofa, folded her hands by staring at Stella cynically, then laid her body.
Stella never thought, why could such a woman who would be the mother of Aiden.
Stella shook her head, she should not criticize others. After all, he's nobody here, he's only here for the recovery of Aiden, the little man he loves, whom he considers to be his own son.
Even Stella doesn't know who Sandy really is.
