Mother Son
Episode 11's. Old Demon and Guardian Angel
Eldo's anxiety culminates waiting for every word scroll to come out of Dicky's mouth. He knew that his grandmother could do whatever was denied. It even destroyed one's happiness so easily the old woman did. He had once witnessed it with both eyes. Grandmother ruined the family life of the old woman's personal assistant, simply for nudging her much-loved granddaughter and making her fall down the stairs. Although Eldo was not seriously injured, the family found their son dead in an accident. He knew very well that it was his grandmother's doing.
Eldo heard for himself the conversation between grandmother and one of the errand boy. The old woman planned an accident plot that Eldo could not imagine. The woman is cruel, if it is about family. But now, between the feeling of relief and sadness seemed to swerve, when his grandmother had died. He did not want to see someone hurt because of him.
“I really want to curse your Grandma.” Dicky glanced at the furious-looking Eldo. “He really is a human being not compassionate.”
“Since I have asked you, but you just go around berating my Grandma,” protested Eldo.
“About one week after your departure abroad. Your grandmother tried to destroy the Adeline family. He made Papa Adel dishonorably discharged, due to an allegation of embezzlement of warehouse goods. Although not in prison, but their economy became very chaotic after.” Staring intently at Eldo's eyes. “Didn't you hear anything about your Grandma's actions?”

“Lantas, why can you contact me?” ask Dicky.
“I secretly asked my friend to pin an email through his laptop. Sometimes I also borrow his cell phone to be able to contact you,” Eldo explained. “You who never once called me. Every time I ask them about you, the answer is nil.”

“Good then. I'm glad you're always there for Adel.” Eldo smiled wryly.
“What's good?” Dicky stared hatefully at his old friend. “My family was affected because it has helped the Adel family to get a place to stay.”
Eldo was shocked. “How mung –”
“Your grandmother is clogging the income of Papaku who is a trader. All Papa's subscriptions are in Blora, immediately disconnect. However, Papa did not blame the Adeline family. “Do you really love Adel?” chirped Eldo.
Dicky's surprised. “You mean?”
“I can feel it. You always tell me about Adel without another girl interrupting him.” Eldo voiced his logic.

“But I can't possibly have it.” Dicky's wry smile dangled. “Just let him match up with anyone too. Love can't choose, but I can decide to just keep it at a distance.” Dicky's face was moping.
“But it looks like you failed?” Eldo gulped down the remaining avocado Dicky drank.
“I failed?!” Dicky could not understand what Eldo meant.
“Ya .. You have failed. I saw it myself with both eyes. She is engaged to her ex-boyfriend and his new girl. Even the girl's hand violently slapped Adel, but the man seemed to let it happen.” Eldo hoped to extract information from Dicky.
“You mean ... Morgan and Sonia?” Dicky was upset.
“Ah ... it turns out that's their name,” Eldo murmured softly.
“I've often warned Adel to stay away from rotten men like him. However, the word sepetinya I said did not hear him and now all has been proven.”Dicky's anger shrieks. “Even stubbornly, he defended Morgan in front of his parents.”
“Morgan has met Adel's parents? Is their relationship that serious?” Eldo seemed to be really listening.
“Not as you think. Morgan only visited during the holidays, it was only a day and he left because he heard Adel's quarrel with his parents.” Dicky explained.
“Quarrel ... what's the problem?” search Eldo.
“Mama Adel didn't like Morgan from the start they met. I don't know what makes Auntie feel that way. Maybe the sensitivity of a mother to a brat such as her, so Auntie does not want Adel hurt someday.”
Mother is a word full of millions of meanings. From a fragile figure will appear many times strong, if there is something that disturbs part of it. Eldo had heard that the heart of a mother is very attached to her child. Maybe because of that, Mama Adeline knew that events like the one she saw would happen.
“Do you want to help me?” ask Eldo.
“What kind of help did you first ask for?” Dicky shackles his chin.
“Help me get Adel's heart back,” pinta Eldo.
“No... can't! I don't want to help you, if it's about Adel,” Dicky refused.
“I know you're too worried about her, but Grandma's dead. So –”
“I don't want to care, there's still your Grandma or she's dead. Your family is scary,” Dicky makes excuses.
Dicky shuddered with goosebumps imagining everything Adeline had gone through, only to have already tied up love with Eldo, a young master who came from a wealthy family. He did not want something that the old woman had done, done by Eldo's parents to the Adeline family. It was He who introduced Adeline to Eldo, so regret came to him. He doesn't want anything scarier to come back to him and Adeline.
“You don't have to worry about Papa and my Mom. They are the kind of people who are very open to anyone. They don't want to limit which match I choose. After Grandma died, Papa and Mama said they would free me to choose whatever kind of woman I could be. For them, the most important thing is that the girl is a good woman and from a good family. Papa and Mama don't need a rich daughter-in-law, but a woman who can make her child happy.”

“You are very close to Papa and Mama. So if you don't believe me, you can come to them to ask.” Eldo reached into his pants pocket and took his cell phone. “Or put it this way, I contact them and you can ask directly about my honesty.” Eldo pressed his parents' number and the dialing tone rang.
Dicky immediately grabbed the cellphone attached to Eldo's ear and ended the call. “You're crazy huh? What can I talk to your parents about? We just met, how could I ask them directly about your statement?”

“I thought about it.” Dicky sighed.

Meanwhile, Eldo felt a grain of hope as if befalling him. He was sure Dicky would be willing to help him. He knew that Dicky would never allow Morgan to hurt the girl his friend had always cared for. However, Dicky could only be far away and could not move closer. In Eldo's heart said, ‘only I can you trust’.
