After the green Serpent died, the Tyrex hedgehog ferocious beast began to eat its opponent's body.
The sound of bone gusts and gnawing sounded crisp and made Jean goosebumps all over her body, in contrast to Valir whose face looked indifferent as if he was used to witnessing such a thing.
After waiting for quite a long time, Tyrex Hedgehog finally left the remaining half of the snake body, perhaps he was already full and could not spend it all.
"When are we down?" Jean asked because even though Tyrex Hedgehog was gone, Valir was still silent as if he had no intention of descending.
"Not yet, the danger is still not gone, look at that." Valir pointed down.
Jean looked down, from several directions saw many little animal friends come to the rest of the green snake meat.
They ate the meat even until someone scrambled.
From the top they look small but actually their size is as big as cows and goats.
The snake meat was eaten away by them even until the bones were not left at all.
Fortunately Jean and Valir did not go down immediately, according to Jean the herd of small animals was more creepy than Tyrex Hedgehog.
After the atmosphere below was quiet again, Valir took Jean down.
They continued their delayed journey.
Jean here began to ask, and,
"The beast with many thorns on his body just now do you know his name?"
"We Elves call him Wrax, he's one of those wild animals that love to hunt during the day, for small wild animals that eat leftover Wrax game called Xebs they always follow Wrax to get rations of food scraps that Wrax does not spend. Those two types of ferocious stars were equally dangerous." Valir explained as he continued walking.
Jean nodded in understanding after gaining new knowledge.
Easier with other parables, Wrax is like a clutter maker and Xebs part that cleans up the former mess to clean.
The journey continues until in the afternoon Jean and Valir are unlucky to meet a herd of small wild beasts making wolf-like sounds, but have no feathers all over their bodies.
Jean considered him a Bald Wolf, their canine teeth ten centi longer than those of a wolf in the world of Marrissa, their body size was also twice as large.
According to Jean everything in the world some have in common with the world of his origin, but here it becomes bigger and stronger, unfortunately, why humans remain the same do not grow in order to be more balanced with this world.
The pack of bald wolves encircles Jean and Valir, preventing them from escaping.
"Why don't we go up the tree like we used to?" Jean asked with one finger pointing upwards.
Valir shook his head,
"Can't, above there's more dangerous."
Jean looked up, not looking at the big beast at all, but as Jean looked more closely, Jean saw a lot of movement among the trees.
It turned out that there were many bees the size of an adult human fist, it seemed like there was a beehive nearby.
Looking at it, Jean looked at the horror, stung by bees the size of peanuts alone was sick, let alone the size of a fist.
Since the bees were on top, Jean and Valir could not dodge climbing into the tree, they could only fight the bald wolf below.
There were a total of 11 bald wolves circling Jean and Valir. They growl showing their sharp teeth as a form of threat so that their prey feels fear and panic.
When the bald wolf started attacking simultaneously, Valir controlled the plant tendrils from his arms to block their movement.
When the wolves were disturbed, Valir killed them with arrows.
In one shoot three wolves fell because Valir was able to shoot three arrows at once with his bow.
The wolf headed towards Jean, intending to attack Jean.
Valir had not had time to take care of the attack from behind because the wolf in front also jumped directly avoiding the snare of the vines.
Jean tightens the grip on the dagger in hand, realizing she can't always be protected.
So when the wolf wanted to pounce on Jean's neck, a sharp dagger first attacked her and pierced right into her heart.
When Jean's father was alive other than he had taught Jean the basic techniques of using the sword, he also taught the weak points of small animals and how to fight them with a dagger.
So, armed with Jean's original memories, daggers, and courage, Marrissa is able to kill the bald wolf that attacked her.
There were still two other wolves running towards Jean, but Valir's arrow finished them on the spot.
After killing the bald wolf, the hands and daggers in Jean's grip were now full of blood.
Jean's hand trembled uncontrollably, even his dagger to the point of falling.
"I-I killed...." Jean's face looked shocked at the blood on her hands.
This time Jean killed a life.
Even though it was done as a form of self-defense, it was still a bad thing for Marrissa to kill.
Realizing something was wrong with Jean, Valir picked up a dagger on the ground and held Jean to leave the place as quickly as possible, before another wild beast came over lured by the smell of blood.
Upon reaching the safe tree, Valir drops Jean off.
Sitting at the root of a large tree protruding from the ground, Valir asked Jean for her condition, but Jean was still glued to her two bloodied hands.
The valir then takes the concave-shaped leaves inward from the vines on the trunk of a large tree.
With water from the sunken leaves, Velir helped Jean rinse the blood off Jean's hands.
"Pacify yourself Jean, drink this." The valir gives another sunken leaf filled with clear water.
Jean drank the water with Valir holding the leaf because Jean's hand was still shaking.
After the cold water rinsed her throat, Jean was finally able to calm down and clear-eyed.
In this world, killing was common. Especially when he was in the wilderness, he was in the X forest.
There's only killing or being killed.
Jean still wanted to live, let alone in this world she was an older sister, she still had Juno that she needed to protect.
He couldn't stop here, his mentality shouldn't be messed up just because of his first murder.
Jean then looked up at Valir's dark blue eyes and said,
"Thank you for helping me, I'm sorry to bother you. I'm already fine. Let's continue this journey."
"It doesn't matter, but next time don't stop like that, it could be fatal if I'm not by your side." Valir.
Jean is wrong, if Valir had not shot the last two wolves that would have attacked Jean when she was in shock, she might have moved once again.
Aware of that Jean smiled sweetly with great sincerity,
"Valir, thank you."
Valir's dark blue eyes seemed to tremble slightly at Jean's smile.
