Reyno's Decision

A few minutes passed, after the action where Reyno had teased Adinda. Now, the 4x8 m lab room feels lonely because from both sides no one wants to start talks again.

Both of them seem to be involved in a deep awkwardness.

Until, in his umpteenth minute. The lab door is sliding and someone goes in there.

Reflex Adinda stands, followed by Reyno as well of course.

"Good morning sir." Address both politely and compactly.

"For Adinda.., Reyno."

"I'm sorry, but it's a little late. There was a little business in class 11 IPA 4. You guys been waiting a long time?"

Adinda shook her head and again Reyno followed after her.

"No sir, fifteen minutes maybe"

Adinda said as decently as possible.

"Thank God, then."

Mr. Bambang then sat his butt in the chair opposite to the two students.

Adinda looked at the middle-aged teacher probing.

"What's up, sir? Tumben, did you invite me and 'him' to the lab this morning?"

The middle-aged teacher confirmed the location of his glasses, then lifted the bag he was carrying and placed it on the table.

"So soon, Sister, you're in a hurry."

Mr. Bambang said as his hands were busy opening the black reseleting bag and took out a brown map from inside.

"Well, here. You and Reyno want to read the contents of the documents in this folder."

Mr. Bambang then handed the thin map to his two students who were welcomed by Adinda.

Slowly Adinda open the winding rope that serves to protect the map, then remove some sheets of paper from there.

Both Adinda's eyebrows raised. "What is this, sir?"

"Read first Adinda."

Adinda also complied, as well as Reyno who also approached with squeaking eyes.

Adinda's eyes are perfectly rounded, as well as Reyno's.

"I..this means what sir?"

Mr. Bambang. "Ah You are Adinda, when you do not understand too. That's a proposal and an invitation to the National Science Competition that will be held this year."

"Fifths, you, Reyno, Digo, Janeta, and Fella. You are students of recommendation from teachers. So we hope you all participate."

Staring at each other, before Adinda finally nodded in agreement.

"Alright sir, if it is trusted. I will try as much as possible. That's my answer, don't you know with Reyno?"

Adinda turned to Reyno who looked down.

"Reyno, what about you? This year I look forward to you."

Mr. Bambang looked at Reyno expectantly.

With his head still slightly lowered, Reyno finally let out a voice.

"I will try to do it too, sir. Later after I confirm with my parents, will coordinate again to the school including to the father."

It looks like Mr. Bambang breathed a sigh of relief. He stood up from his seat, patting Reyno on the shoulder with a happy look.

"Thank you Reyno, it's over after a year. You want to participate in the race, my father was happy to hear that. Waiting for your confirmation in the next two days."

Nodding weakly, Reyno was only able to believe himself that the decision he took was not wrong and he would try to take responsibility for whatever risks he would face in the future.
