CHAPTER 10 . Wounds and Medications

Xavier was greeted kindly by his mother, but not by Lexo who from his gaze seemed to have a grudge in it, but the man did not care much about it.

"Please have a drink" the old woman served warm tea in front of her, waiting for Leonavyn to return from her room.

Not long after the girl came wearing her favorite Teddy bear patterned pajamas. It looks so adorable in her eyes. "Sorry to wait a long time"

"A little bowing please, I'm not there" whispered the girl who was now sitting beside her right. Xavier slightly bent his body. "If I press it too deeply, just say it"

The girl soaked the cotton with the alcohol, then glued it gently on Xavier's injured smooth white skin. Xavier groaned softly as he felt the coldness of the alcohol touching the skin of his neck.

"A-ah, it hurts? Ma—"

"No, no. I was just shocked because it was cold. It's okay" cut the girl off before she says the sentence to her 'sorry'

"So you why the hell is that creepy guy upstairs?" leonavyn asked while treating his wound.

"Before there was no him. I was alone, but all of a sudden he just came by using his telepotation skills"

"But what's he after me for?"

"Make you crash in his crazy potion. Then beware of it. If you need to go out with someone, don't just be alone. Trust me" he replied.

"Are you sure you don't have any power?" xavier's sudden question made the girl ask herself.

"Come on, I think so. I was really confused about my skills. But on the other hand I was also confused as to why the man wanted my skills for his crazy potion" Leonavyn actually hesitated to answer, but how else.

"What's wrong. I used to be just like you, not knowing my own strength, but the longer I honed myself, trying new things made me realize my own genius, and I think you can try my trick" the beautiful girl nodded in understanding of what her male friend said.

Until it does not feel like he has finished treating Xavier's neck injury, he pasted a teddy bear patterned plaster that he had to look a little funny. "Already! I put this on for a while, if you want to take it off, let it go"

"Ah, shit, Teddy bear" said Xavier in his mind. "Thank you"

"Now, can I go home?" xavier asked softly, because from then on he whined like that which made the girl angry and upset.

"Yes, if you can now"

"Finally. Alright. I'm h-home. Tomorrow I'll pick you up at seven in 10 minutes"

 

The next morning, the sun began to shine on the city of Wendlyn again. Now Xavier and Leonavyn are walking down the street to go to school. "Ah, it feels strange" muttered the girl who was instantly noticed by the man next to her.

"Why?"

"somehow, I feel a strange and foreign thing for me" Leonavyn replied lowered her head. The man sighed, stopping his steps along with the girl beside him.

"What do you feel? say."

Xavier could only be silent, he had no right to force the girl to say it. Leonavyn once again glanced at Xavier's handsome face. He only realized that the man still had not removed the plaster used last night.

"Do you like Teddy bears?" ask the girl outside Xavier's expectations.

"Obviously, no."

"Then, why are you still using my Teddy bear plaster? I thought you were last night"

"This one's funny. Then I don't want to take it off"

"Ahh, so..."

The fun chat built by Leonavyn really builds intimacy and security between the two of them during the trip to school. They joke and laugh together. The man who used to be very annoying and cold is now devastated with a beautiful girl? and the humorist who really likes Teddy bear? I don't know, just look ahead.

On the other hand, Xavier and I have now arrived in class. Arriving in the male class with a flash immediately left me just like that.

"Leonavyn! Holy hooch! Since when have you been close to Xavier?!" ask the front bench friend who is with Ferlav.

"Recently. But take it easy, I don't have any feelings for him" Leonavyn replied calmly

"Help me close to him please... I love it" said Ferlav, who was quite unexpected.

"But, don't you have a boyfriend? I mean, you shouldn't have cheated on her. Xavier doesn't want you two either"

"Ah, my girlfriend cheated a lot, we broke up a long time ago" I just nodded in understanding as she answered my question.

Honestly, I was confused about how to bring the two of them closer together, while it seems Xavier is not the type of person who easily falls in love or accepts new people. He scratched at the nape of his neck that was not itchy, confused to say what else.

"Eumm, how is it, Xavier isn't the type of person who falls in love easily and accepts new people, so I'm sorry I couldn't help you. It was quite difficult for me" I got off the bench wanting to leave Ferlav alone.

I can guess for sure the look on his face was disappointed and also the feeling there was a sense of emotion to me, I'm sure of that. But I also don't care about him. If he had a taste I think he should have tried it himself. Without my help as just his friend who recently we were close.

I accidentally met Xavier, but the man did not look at me at all, but I was half-confident that he was aware of my existence. Even though not entirely sure.

In the bathroom I washed my hands, cleaned them with soap, then glazed for a while. I tidied a few strands of my hair that slightly disturbed my view. I don't know if I suddenly think about Xavier's words, about the old man who now loves him secretly. To be honest, I feel anxious when I want to go out like this. I don't want to die young, please.

After the toilet, I went back to my class. I clearly found Xavier beside my bench busy with his book. Tumben once he like this, like opening a book or even reading it has become a rare thing for me to see.

"Tumben once read a book" I said

"I think there's something in your body that the old man was looking for yesterday, other than your strength" he said suddenly.

I was so overwhelmed with the words of that man that my clear mind was hard to digest. "You have a bond of promise? with your own spirit or strength or whatever?"
