Chapter 25
Chapter 25: Goblin Camping Field (1)
TL: Haku
Editor: Stealth
Rukin, who was following the punishment squad with his guild members for the Goblin Camping Field Search, was very confused when he saw the empty entrance at Saumur Canyons.
"What the fuck, where did all the scouts go?"
His comrades, Falcon and Millun, were equally puzzled.
"No kidding, wasn't it just this morning when we did 'Scouts' Quest '?"
“That's what I said. EXP Scouts' was also pretty good .. Did a high-ranking officer who had nothing go through it and wipe the place out of boredom? ”
Monsters in normal hunting grounds each had their own regen time, so when a certain time passed, the monster formed again in the designated location. However, the Goblin monsters on the Goblin Camping Ground map were nothing like that. Since they were some sort of event monster, it was a system where the Camping Ground Quest had to be fully completed once and the Chairman had to be killed in order for the Goblin to return a few days later.
That's why Rukin's party is really confused.
"You might not level up today even if you go around that place once. ”
To be honest, Falcon and Millun's main goal was not the Camping Ground Quest. They are users who follow Rukin and come to Saumur Canyon to help Rukin level up, or in other words, take on the role of a so-called bus driver [1].
Rukin is 34 lv while Falcon and Millun are in the early 50s lv.
"Don't joke .. I have to reach level 35 today ... The Chief Priest Quest is too difficult for you guys, right?"
The Chief Priest's quest was a kind of hidden quest. It was a quest that happened when you went into the tunnel behind the Camping Ground before returning to the vigilante once the Goblin Camping Ground was swept away.
“Well, I don't think it'll be that hard. From what I remember, the Chief Goblin Leader was around lv 55 and instead of the Chief Priest being strong, it was difficult because there were many Goblin Warriors in front. It should have been easy if we pulled the Goblin Warrior earlier while doing the 'Camping Ground Quest' and caught them with the guards. ”
"That's right, if we only took care of the Goblin Warrior before, the two of us would have been enough for the Chief Priest. ”
"Very? That's a relief . At least I have to fill out my EXP from there. ”
However, losing that incredible EXP, the Scouts made his stomach uneasy.
"Hmphs. ”
Rukin licked her lips as if saying she was disappointed and started moving.
"First, let's report that there are no Scouts. We need to move forward through the search. ”
Rukin nodded and responded.
"All right, let's go back. ”
The three returned to the captain of the punishing force, NPC Hugo, and reported the situation.
“Captain of the punishment squad, there are not many Scouts left. I think you can directly hit the military headquarters. ”
Hearing those words, Hugo was delighted and stood up.
"Oh-ho, is that right? Good . We will be able to minimize our vigilante damages. We better get going! "
Rukin grumbled internally.
'All of the EXP bundles disappeared, so what good is it? It just irritates me. '
Aside from his annoyance, he only considered himself because he needed to accumulate even the smallest EXP.
"Can the three of us perform as the spearhead of the battle?"
Hearing those words, Hugo nodded happily.
"Of course . Can you really do that for us? "
“Yes, we will stand as leaders. ”
"Thank you . ”
Shortly after, Hugo followed behind them and began to move forward to the Goblin Camping Ground, leading over 100 NPC guards.
Just then, an NPC guard called Hugo and stopped him.
"Captain, new mercenary reinforcements have arrived. ”
Hearing those words, Hugo paused for a moment and turned in the direction directed by the vigilante.
The new mercenaries were none other than Ian and Harin.
As the two men approached, Hugo extended his hand.
"Oh, new reinforcements. The more people gave their strength, the easier the suppression should be. Thank you for coming all the way here. ”
Ian held onto Hugo's hand equally and lowered his head slightly.
“We just did a clear job. ”
Ian heaved a sigh of relief at the fact that they had arrived at the exact time before the search began. If he had come alone, he would have ridden Ly and arrived at the beginning, but since he had come with Harin, he was much slower than he expected.
"Now, today we will completely wipe out the Goblins in Saumur Canyons! Everyone move forward! ”
As Hugo issued the order, the guards shouted and ran forward.
From the front, too, many pitch-black Goblin Warriors ran out of Camping Ground.
Even just by glancing at the hundreds of Goblin Warriors, Harin looked a little frightened.
"Uh, Ian .. will it be okay?"
However, different from Harin, Ian only saw all those Goblins as bundles of EXP.
"That'll be fine . You just have to do what we talked about on the way here. ”
“Can we really do it? However, if we do that, then it will only be your fight. ”
"No, that's not true . Basically, you'll be our bully and you're taking the aggro with the shield will be of great help. ”
Among the Priest skills, there was a skill called the 'Shield of Brilliance' and that skill was the best defensive skill the Priestess could use to protect themselves.
The Shield of Brilliance turned a Priest's heavenly magic into a shield of a certain ratio that would protect them from losing health until their heavenly magic was fully consumed.
The downside is that they can just throw it at themselves, though, but the ratio of heavenly magic was consumed and the shield was so efficient that if a Priest poured all of their heavenly magic into the Shield of Brilliance, it was enough for a 'out-of-tank' worthy tanker.
Ian assumed that the weak-hearted Harin would have high proficiency with the skill based on his personality and as expected, the Shield of Brilliance was Harin's main skill. It was even a situation where the ability of the Shield of Brilliance was extremely high.
That's why the strategy that the two people made was simple. Harin would focus all of his heavenly magic onto the Shield of Brilliance and use it only to protect himself while rubbing Ian and Ly whenever the cooldown time ended.
When summarized in one word, he was a buff whiz [2] who did not die.
That's not all. Ian is currently setting an ambitious plan to drag Harin to fight on the front lines.
'Tingkat Harin relatif tinggi untuk datang ke Goblin Camping Ground. Selain itu, kemampuan Shield of Brilliance-nya sama dengan sekitar lv 60. '
In other words, as long as he poured all his effort into his shield, no matter how bad he was in the game, he calculated that there was almost no chance of him dying here.
'We have to use Harin as a tanker. '
If they were to fight comfortably at the back along with the guards, Harin would most likely be useless.
'Although there really is no problem if we just fight …'
Since he had already brought Harin, Ian's thought was that he should bring out his strongest advantage and maximize their hunting efficiency.
To clear it with a single word, his plan was to dump Harin into the front line, and once the agro was leaning towards him, he would take all the EXP with Ly.
In this plan, Harin's role in simple terms is 'the meat protector'. And if Harin is worse at the game than he thinks, or if the agro is leaning towards him more than he expected, the chance to die is not impossible.
"Good . I'll believe you, Ian. ”
Despite hearing Ian's plan, Harin did not capture the main point and only nodded slowly.
As if her conscience made her feel a little guilty, she looked distant and caressed Ly.
“You just have to believe in this one, not me. ”
Ian rationalized for himself.
'As long as Harin did not die, it was a plan that would allow him to gain a large amount of EXP…. '
There's no way it's because Ly has to eat something more delicious than her and she holds a grudge.
