Chapter 13 - Feeling Guilty

"Mommy don't say that!" David quickly replied. He felt dislike for his mommy words that brought death into their conversation.

Mom Meisya's head bowed. A tear fell down her cheek. "Mommy just expressed Mommy's anxiety, David. Do you think Mommy was wrong to say that?" Ask Mom Meisya.

"Wrong, Mom. I don't want Mom to mention death anymore." Press David.

Mom Meisya's head finally lifted back up. "If you don't want to, get married. By getting married, Mom will no longer worry about you."

David exhaled a rough breath in the air. Really, Mom Meisya's words made her heart feel guilty.

"Marriage is no joke, Mom. I don't want to get married when my heart isn't ready." Press David.

"When will you be ready? Is it waiting until Mommy gets sick first?" Ask Mom Meisya.

"Mommy.." David's voice was now heard swallowing. Her gaze also shifted from Mom Meisya because she could not see the tears that flowed down her mother's cheeks.

"Darling, stop..." Dad Raka persuaded his wife. Although he knew the intention of Mom Meisya saying that just to provoke David, but Dad Raka knew that Mom Meisya was also sad because what she said was pure from the bottom of her heart.
