Rhea continued to stare at her brother's body which was still lying on the bed. There was something he wanted to say.
"Sister, may I ask you a question?" ask Rhea.
"What?" cetus Rara from under the blanket.
"Why doesn't Brother come to work with me? Or continue college. Big Brother can make his own money and can also organize Big Brother's future to be better than this." Rhea was being alarmed. He knew his brother would be angry if he said this. But Rhea couldn't bear to see her brother constantly behave like this. Rhea really wants her brother to be a successful career woman without having to rely on others.
"Why? You mind if I keep asking you for money? You desperately work day and night while I can only laze around? Did you forget? Because who am I to be like this?" Rara tries to make Rhea feel guilty.
"But my brother's leg is healed. No one's bullying brother anymore right now. Why do you just lock yourself in the house while your friends are busy working and some are in college. I don't mind Brother asking me for money. I work for Brother too. Even I would rather if Big Brother wants to continue college, I am willing to bear all of Big Brother's tuition. Really, I'm serious."
Instead of responding to Rhea's persuasion, Rara laughed out loud. He opened the blanket that covered his body while looking intently at Rhea's eyes.
"Who do you think you are, huh? Dare manage. Why do I have to trouble myself if there will be people who bear the cost of my life. Not you, but someone else. And that man, is my husband. But right now, you're the one who's taking all my life's expenses without exception because you promised." Rara started to smile on her own. I don't know what he's thinking right now.
"Until when will you be like this? A while ago, Alan came to me. He asked why Brother had suddenly cut him off for no reason. I have a new boyfriend, right?"
"What if it is. Never interfere in my business. Look at me, I'm very pretty and also sexy. All the men in this village are in love with me. It's only natural that I'm gonna change girlfriends. Unlike you who are buggy and coiled so. Until now, no one wants you." Rara looked at Rhea from top to bottom.
The clothes Rhea wore were just that. Rara was completely disgusted at Rhea's appearance without her knowing that the Rhea she was seeing right now, was not the real Rhea. If Rara had known what Rhea was like out there, she might have been in deep shock.
"Alright, I won't interfere in Brother's affairs anymore, whatever Brother wants to do. I'm leaving first, I'm late." Rhea relented and did not want to argue with Rara.
"Rhea!" call Grandma Haida from outside the room.
"Yes Grandma" answered Rhea.
"Let's go," cried Haida's grandmother again.
"Good, Grandma." Rhea rushed out of the room leaving Rara alone.
"Don't forget, give me the money after you get home from work !" Rara exclaimed before Rhea closed the door of her room and Rhea just nodded.
"What are you doing in your brother's room?" haida's grandmother asked after the two left the house and walked together towards their destination.
"Just wake up brother to have breakfast, Grandma." Rhea smiled sweetly at her foster grandmother.
"Don't spoil her too much, what you're doing is more than enough. Be firm with him and don't want to be told this. I don't like you giving in to her even if she's my only real granddaughter."
"It's okay, Grandma. What I did was not comparable to what Rara's sister experienced because of me. I don't mind as long as you're happy."
"But you can't keep him hanging on to you. You and Rara can't live together forever. One day you'll get married and so will Rara. If that rancid girl is lazing around I'm afraid her life won't be happy. Where there are in-laws who would accept a lazy son-in-law like him," said Haida's grandmother with a sad expression.
"That's why I persuaded my sister to go to college, Grandma. If you have a good education and a decent job, no one will underestimate you." Rhea hugged her grandmother's shoulder as if understanding the worry her foster grandmother felt.
"Did he agree?"
"I'll persuade him again. Well, we're here, Grandma." Rhea escorted her grandmother to an offering hall that is usually used by villagers to perform rutinan rituals from the descendants of the village's ancestors.
"Yes, now go!" tell Grandma with a smile.
"Later after my business on campus is over, I'll come here to practice. Grandma don't get tired. Just let the mothers do the heavy duty, I go first, Grandma." Rhea kissed the back of her Grandma's hand and prepared to come to the factory like she used to.
"Ehm, be careful on the road. Tell your aunt Riska to come here if there's time." Grandma rubbed Rhea's head gently.
"Good, Grandma. I'll tell you." Rhea also walked towards the large factory located not far from the hall where her grandmother is currently.
Soon there will be an offering ceremony to welcome the arrival of the rainy season and grandmother is in charge of preparing everything. The ceremony was not an arbitrary ceremony and could not be done by everyone. Only certain people are allowed to perform the ceremony and witnessed by all residents in this small town.
