it happened when Ezra went to Ella's apartment

After talking to Dita, Ezra went to his wife Ella's place, he deliberately did not tell Ella..,but before going to the apartment he bought a fancy barang² for his wife because he intended to persuade Ella to let herself go with Dita next week..

when he arrived, he immediately pushed the password to the door of Ella's apartment with ease, then he entered...
