"What is this mama? There's a son coming, why not be told to sit first even in a question like that?" sela Garda when she saw his wife asking questions like Gavin who had just come.
"Yes this Mother, habit! I'm thirsty Bun, I want to drink" Gavin said as he strode into the kitchen. Actually he just reasoned, because he wanted to meet with Lala. But, after his eyes traced every corner of the kitchen room, he did not find Lala.
"Maybe he's asleep" said Gavin. After he picked up one drink from inside the fridge, he was about to return to the living room. Suddenly, he heard someone calling him.
"Mr Gavin,"
Gavin then turned his head when he recognized the voice that was calling out to him.
"That's Lala's voice," Gavin murmured inwardly, then he quickly turned to look at her. And it turned out to be true, Lala was calling him.
"Hey, you haven't slept?" gavin asked as he walked closer towards Lala.
"No sir, this just finished making cookies for tomorrow's event" replied Lala. He was deliberately picked up by Vina because he was asked to help make a cake for a family event tomorrow at the house of Vina's in-laws. Omah Dara has recovered from his illness and he intends to give thanks after he recovers, he wants to invite orphans to be eaten and fed and free cakes.
"Oh that, if it still hurts, do not be on the side. I was worried when Mommy took you away didn't say, I'm afraid you met your ex-husband, and then he went back to acting" Gavin said later.
Instantly Lala's heart felt the flower blossom because her master was so worried about her. Even Lala thought, maybe Gavin deliberately caught up with her because he wanted to meet her. Lala's heart grew soaring, but as much as possible she covered her happy feelings in front of Gavin.
"Thank you, sir, you're worried about my situation. But I'm fine. I didn't meet my ex-husband either" Lala replied, bowing her head.
"Thank God, then you better get some rest. Don't get tired" Gavin suggested to Lala.
"Well sir, don't you want me to make milk or warm tea first?" tanya Lala offered her employer a drink.
"May, if you don't mind, I want a cup of tea" Gavin said with a smile.
"Of course not sir" replied Lala. Then he quickly picked up a cup and lit the stove. While making tea, Gavin waits beside Lala while talking to her. And apparently, their conversation was caught by Santi's ears, because he was silent he deliberately eavesdropped to listen to their conversation.
"Why do they look so close? Do they have a special relationship? Why is she talking about her ex-husband? Is she a widow? No, Mr. Gavin must not fall into the hands of a widow. Especially a maid. Would it be better to be with me, even though the same maid, but I'm still a virgin?" said Santi who was standing behind the wall.
"Eh Ma'am, I see you are very close to Mr. Gavin, you have a special relationship huh?" ask Santi without a stale base. Of course Lala was surprised to hear the question, as she did not think that Santi was paying attention to herself and Gavin when conversing.
"special relationship? What does it mean, Ma'am? Mr. Gavin my employer and I are his aides, it's just like that" Lala replied as she was. Because even though he had felt that his employer was paying special attention to him, but to that extent they were not tied to what relationship.
"Not to play dumb? I overheard your conversation. Mr. Gavin looks so worried about you, and he says he's afraid that you might meet your ex-husband. Are you a widow, right?" again without stale Santi showed his curiosity. And that made Lala uncomfortable. From the way Santi talks, Lala can conclude that Santi seems to be less fond of Lala. Even Lala thinks that Santi likes her employer.
"Yes Ma'am, I am a widow" Lala replied with a heavy heart. Not because he was embarrassed to admit his status, but he did not like the way to ask Santi who seemed to interrogate him.
"So you're a widow? Good, because Mr. Gavin couldn't possibly have liked widows. Although Mrs Dara and Mrs Vina used to be both maids, they were married by their employers, but at least they were virgins, not widows. So you better not expect more with Mbak's close relationship with Mr. Gavin, because you guys are not suitable!" reprimand Santi without manners.
Degh, suddenly Lala was surprised by Santi's words. She is surprised not because she is forbidden to wish on Gavin, but surprised to find out that Dara and Vina used to be a maid. While their husband is their own master. She once thought that her story with Gavin would end that way, even though it was a little impossible given her already widowed status.
"What's? Madam Dara and Madam Vina used to be maids too?" lala asked in surprise.
"Yes, and Lord Gaston and Lord Guard are his masters? You just found out? How long have you been working there?" Santi asked back.
"It's still new Ma'am, about a week," Lala replied.
"What's? It's only been a week but it's been close to Mr Gavin? I'm the only one who's been working here for four years it's hard to get close to Mr. Gavin, don't you wear pellets?" Santi's question made Lala so offended.
"Sorry Mommy, I think the question is excessive. I don't wear pellets like you're accusing me of!" lala replied with a tinge.
"Currently, angry? If you don't wear it normally, don't push!" santi exclaimed no less tightly than Lala's tone. The conversation then stopped, they then slept in their respective places . Although they are in one room, they sleep on different mattresses. That night Lala felt unsettled and uncomfortable in the room, she wanted to return to the Gavin mansion as soon as possible.
The night had passed and the middle morning greeted. The two housekeepers got up early, and then they did their own jobs. Although last night they had a debate, but about their work professional. Lala helps Santi cook for breakfast in the extended family, while the other assistant is busy cleaning the entire room in Opah Gaston's mansion.
When the food menu is presented at the table, all the families gather in the dining room. Gaston, Dara, Garda, Vina and Gavin have all been seated in their seats. And when the atmosphere still seemed quiet, Dara suddenly started a conversation that attracted attention.
"Gavin, when are you going to find a companion?" ask Dara to her granddaughter.
