The Flashback

A few years ago...

A middle-aged man was sitting tied up in a wooden chair. The man looked pitiful, his entire face was bruised with blood pouring from several parts of his body.

The ill-fated man seemed to want to scream for help but could not. His mouth had been gagged with dirty cloth by some young man who surrounded him.

With explosive emotions the young men spilled all of their anger on the innocent middle-aged man.

In the midst of the gripping atmosphere, suddenly there was a falling object that shocked all of them.

BRAK!!

Some of the young men simultaneously turned their heads back, for a moment they stopped their actions on the middle-aged man.

None of them intend to check the cause of the fall of scrap metal. They do not seem to care if their behavior is seen by others.

But one of them felt that something was wrong with the fall of the scrap metal for no reason. A young man with a roaring face stepped slowly towards the back door without making any sound.

"What are you doing here!"

The man hissed angrily his guess turned out to be right, it was the teenage boy in front of him who was the cause of the fall of scrap metal.

"Shasa cares about me because she thinks of me as her brother!" Evan screamed loudly not accepting what Raihan said.

Evan felt a little offended, he never asked for mercy to Shasa. But the little boy who is considered as his sister always cares about him, treating the injuries obtained due to the actions of his brother.

Raihan's face turned red, his hands clenched tightly. The young man held back his anger so as not to hit his sister back. But a second later the words spoken from his sister's mouth made him completely lose his patience.

"Shasa thinks I exist, whereas you are not considered by him at all!"

"Oh my God, what happened to your face?"

The mother of the two children shouted hysterically after seeing her youngest child's face battered. Two other adults came to the living room after hearing Lorena's hysterical screams.

Arriving in the living room, Alex and Grandma are surprised to find Evan's battered face. Grandma went back inside to pick up the medicine box, while Alex looked at Lorena and shook her head slowly.

Soon Raihan came with an ordinary face, the young man seemed to know that his sister was battered. Lorena was silent as well as Alex, now they both knew who the person behind Evan's battered face was for the umpteenth time.

Grandma came back with a warm water compress along with a medicine box. Alex had his youngest son sit down to treat his injuries. Lorena told Raihan to follow her into the room.

Lorena locked the door and told her eldest son to sit down. The mother of two children was massaging her temple, feeling tired from Raihan's actions. Lorena felt like she failed to educate Raihan.

"What did you do to your sister?" lorena asked cross her hands in front of her chest.

"Hit him" Raihan replied firmly without the slightest fear.

"Mama taught you martial arts not to beat your sister all out"

"I know!"

"Then why do you always repeat your mistakes?" Lorena could not figure out why there was an older brother who could beat his sister all out.

He never educated his children to hurt his fellow brothers. But what is this? several times Raihan beat his sister, he did not want to punish his son with violence but the longer Raihan increasingly unconscious with his actions.

"This time what's the reason you beat up Evan?" Lorena asked again, at this time the woman took a glass of water from the top of the nightstand to give to Raihan.

"Because Evan is too close to Shasa"

Lorena rolled her eyes tired of hearing the same reason that Raihan always said when asked why he beat his sister.

Lorena thrust the glass filled with water to Raihan, then came out of the room with a face that looks firm.before the woman said something that made Raihan clenched his hands.

"You can be friends with Shasa without beating your sister to a pulp"

Two weeks have passed and the brothers have never greeted each other, even though they live on the same roof. They are like two strangers who are forced to live in the same house, even two people never eat at the same table.

Today Lorena cooked so much food, it made Raihan and Evan wonder what event would be in their home.

Evan had asked Grandma but the woman did not give the answer, as did Raihan who asked Alex but also did not get the answer he wanted.

At eight o'clock the two long-awaited guests finally arrived. The person who is none other than Arin and Adson came to visit without inviting his daughter, Shasa.

Not wanting to interfere with adult affairs, Evan chooses to go to the room and heed the arrival of Shasa's parents. Unlike Evan who chose not to care, Raihan was very curious about what the adults would talk about.

At first the five adults were chatting normally, but over time they put on a serious face. One of them talked about Shasa's future.

"Well, when Shasa grows up, we think it would be better for Shasa to marry one of your sons"

After saying his sentence Adson chuckled slowly followed by Arin who held Lorena's hand to convince her best friend.

"Are we interfering too much in the future affairs of our children?" alex's question made Adson pause for a moment.

"Maybe this is the best" Adson replied confident in the decision he had taken.

"All right"

Everyone cheered happily, let alone Arin and Lorena who were impatient to become besan. They seem to not care about the feelings of their children if they know that in the future they will marry people who have been determined by their parents.

"Then who do you want to be your future mistress?" alex asked seriously. Adson and Lorena were silent for a moment then they smiled.

"What about Evan? he's a good kid"

Destroyed was Raihan's desire to have a sweet boy that he loved. Raihan clenched his hands, then walked over to Evan's room.

Without asking for prior approval, Raihan went straight into his sister's room. Giving some raw bogem that made Evan astonished, while Evan himself felt that he had done nothing wrong, why this brother was so fond of beating him.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Raihan, the adults disagree that Evan will be Shasa's life companion. The five of them finally decided to choose Raihan Davindra as a suitable man to be a life companion Queensha Zeline.
